ixgbe: this patch adds support for DCB to the kernel and ixgbe driver This adds support for Data Center Bridging (DCB) features in the ixgbe driver and adds an rtnetlink interface for configuring DCB to the kernel. The DCB feature support included are Priority Grouping (PG) - which allows bandwidth guarantees to be allocated to groups to traffic based on the 802.1q priority, and Priority Based Flow Control (PFC) - which introduces a new MAC control PAUSE frame which works at granularity of the 802.1p priority instead of the link (IEEE 802.3x). treewide: replace '---help---' in Kconfig files with 'help' Since commit 84af7a6194e4 ("checkpatch: kconfig: prefer 'help' over '---help---'"), the number of '---help---' has been gradually decreasing, but there are still more than 2400 instances. This commit finishes the conversion. While I touched the lines, I also fixed the indentation. There are a variety of indentation styles found. a) 4 spaces + '---help---' b) 7 spaces + '---help---' c) 8 spaces + '---help---' d) 1 space + 1 tab + '---help---' e) 1 tab + '---help---' (correct indentation) f) 1 tab + 1 space + '---help---' g) 1 tab + 2 spaces + '---help---' In order to convert all of them to 1 tab + 'help', I ran the following commend: $ find . -name 'Kconfig*' | xargs sed -i 's/^[[:space:]]*---help---/\thelp/' Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <masahiroy@kernel.org>

This enables support for configuring Data Center Bridging (DCB)
features on DCB capable Ethernet adapters via rtnetlink. Say 'Y'
if you have a DCB capable Ethernet adapter which supports this
interface and you are connected to a DCB capable switch.
DCB is a collection of Ethernet enhancements which allow DCB capable
NICs and switches to support network traffic with differing
requirements (highly reliable, no drops vs. best effort vs. low
latency) to co-exist on Ethernet.
DCB features include:
Enhanced Transmission Selection (aka Priority Grouping) - provides a
framework for assigning bandwidth guarantees to traffic classes.
Priority-based Flow Control (PFC) - a MAC control pause frame which
works at the granularity of the 802.1p priority instead of the
link (802.3x).
