Ingo Molnar 4c3e509ea9 sched/balancing: Rename load_balance() => sched_balance_rq()
Standardize scheduler load-balancing function names on the
sched_balance_() prefix.

Also load_balance() has become somewhat of a misnomer: historically
it was the first and primary load-balancing function that was called,
but with the introduction of sched domains, it's become a lower
layer function that balances runqueues.

Rename it to sched_balance_rq() accordingly.

Ingo Molnar 86dd6c04ef sched/balancing: Rename scheduler_tick() => sched_tick()
- Standardize on prefixing scheduler-internal functions defined
  in <linux/sched.h> with sched_*() prefix. scheduler_tick() was
  the only function using the scheduler_ prefix. Harmonize it.

- The other reason to rename it is the NOHZ scheduler tick
  handling functions are already named sched_tick_*().
  Make the 'git grep sched_tick' more meaningful.

Ingo Molnar 70a27d6d1b sched/balancing: Rename run_rebalance_domains() => sched_balance_softirq()
run_rebalance_domains() is a misnomer, as it doesn't only
run rebalance_domains(), but since the introduction of the
NOHZ code it also runs nohz_idle_balance().

Rename it to sched_balance_softirq(), reflecting its more
generic purpose and that it's a softirq handler.

Peter Zijlstra 9406415f46 sched/debug: Rename the sched_debug parameter to sched_verbose
CONFIG_SCHED_DEBUG is the build-time Kconfig knob, the boot param
sched_debug and the /debug/sched/debug_enabled knobs control the
sched_debug_enabled variable, but what they really do is make
SCHED_DEBUG more verbose, so rename the lot.

Barry Song 9032dc2115 Documentation: scheduler: fix information on arch SD flags, sched_domain and sched_debug
This document seems to be out of date for many, many years. Even it has
misspelled from the first day.
ARCH_HASH_SCHED_TUNE should be ARCH_HAS_SCHED_TUNE
ARCH_HASH_SCHED_DOMAIN should be ARCH_HAS_SCHED_DOMAIN

Since v2.6.14, kernel completely deleted the relevant code and even
arch_init_sched_domains() was deleted.

Right now, kernel is asking architectures to call set_sched_topology() to
override the default sched domains.

On the other hand, to print the schedule debug information, users need to
set sched_debug cmdline or enable it by sysfs entry. So this patch also
adds the description for sched_debug.

Adrian Freund 7b9121040d Documentation: scheduler: fix outdated information on sched groups
The documentation claims that two sched groups must not overlap. This is
no longer true, as overlapping sched groups are used on NUMA systems.
This change has been introduced by commit e3589f6c81 and was
documented by an in-code comment in commit 35a566e6e8.

Mauro Carvalho Chehab d6a3b24762 docs: scheduler: convert docs to ReST and rename to *.rst
In order to prepare to add them to the Kernel API book,
convert the files to ReST format.

The conversion is actually:
  - add blank lines and identation in order to identify paragraphs;
  - fix tables markups;
  - add some lists markups;
  - mark literal blocks;
  - adjust title markups.

At its new index.rst, let's add a :orphan: while this is not linked to
the main index.rst file, in order to avoid build warnings.
