Eric Dumazet 4ea0875b9d ipv6: move tcpv6_protocol and udpv6_protocol to net_hotdata
These structures are read in rx path, move them to net_hotdata
for better cache locality.

Juntong Deng eeb78df406 inet: Add getsockopt support for IP_ROUTER_ALERT and IPV6_ROUTER_ALERT
Currently getsockopt does not support IP_ROUTER_ALERT and
IPV6_ROUTER_ALERT, and we are unable to get the values of these two
socket options through getsockopt.

This patch adds getsockopt support for IP_ROUTER_ALERT and
IPV6_ROUTER_ALERT.

Eric Dumazet 685f7d5312 net/ipv6: avoid possible UAF in ip6_route_mpath_notify()
syzbot found another use-after-free in ip6_route_mpath_notify() [1]

Commit f7225172f2 ("net/ipv6: prevent use after free in
ip6_route_mpath_notify") was not able to fix the root cause.

We need to defer the fib6_info_release() calls after
ip6_route_mpath_notify(), in the cleanup phase.

Abhishek Chauhan 885c36e59f net: Re-use and set mono_delivery_time bit for userspace tstamp packets
Bridge driver today has no support to forward the userspace timestamp
packets and ends up resetting the timestamp. ETF qdisc checks the
packet coming from userspace and encounters to be 0 thereby dropping
time sensitive packets. These changes will allow userspace timestamps
packets to be forwarded from the bridge to NIC drivers.

Setting the same bit (mono_delivery_time) to avoid dropping of
userspace tstamp packets in the forwarding path.

Existing functionality of mono_delivery_time remains unaltered here,
instead just extended with userspace tstamp support for bridge
forwarding path.

Breno Leitao 6752fb18dc net: ip6_tunnel: Leverage core stats allocator
With commit 34d21de99c ("net: Move {l,t,d}stats allocation to core and
convert veth & vrf"), stats allocation could be done on net core
instead of in this driver.

With this new approach, the driver doesn't have to bother with error
handling (allocation failure checking, making sure free happens in the
right spot, etc). This is core responsibility now.

Remove the allocation in the ip6_tunnel driver and leverage the network
core allocation instead.

Eric Dumazet 2a02f8379b ipv6: use xa_array iterator to implement inet6_netconf_dump_devconf()
1) inet6_netconf_dump_devconf() can run under RCU protection
   instead of RTNL.

2) properly return 0 at the end of a dump, avoiding an
   an extra recvmsg() system call.

3) Do not use inet6_base_seq() anymore, for_each_netdev_dump()
   has nice properties. Restarting a GETDEVCONF dump if a device has
   been added/removed or if net->ipv6.dev_addr_genid has changed is moot.

Breno Leitao fa0cd90213 net: sit: Do not set .ndo_get_stats64
If the driver is using the network core allocation mechanism, by setting
NETDEV_PCPU_STAT_TSTATS, as this driver is, then, it doesn't need to set
the dev_get_tstats64() generic .ndo_get_stats64 function pointer. Since
the network core calls it automatically, and .ndo_get_stats64 should
only be set if the driver needs special treatment.

This simplifies the driver, since all the generic statistics is now
handled by core.

I missed that inet6_dump_addr() is calling in6_dump_addrs()
from two points.

First one under RTNL protection, and second one under rcu_read_lock().

Since we want to remove RTNL use from inet6_dump_addr() very soon,
no longer assume in6_dump_addrs() is protected by RTNL (even
if this is still the case).

Use rcu_read_lock() earlier to fix this lockdep splat:

struct ifacaddr6 are already freed after RCU grace period.

Add __rcu qualifier to aca_next pointer, and idev->ac_list

Add relevant rcu_assign_pointer() and dereference accessors.

ipv6_chk_acast_dev() no longer needs to acquire idev->lock.

/proc/net/anycast6 is now purely RCU protected, it no
longer acquires idev->lock.

Similarly in6_dump_addrs() can use RCU protection to iterate
through anycast addresses. It was relying on a mixture of RCU
and RTNL but next patches will get rid of RTNL there.

Breno Leitao 3e7a0dccf0 ipv6/sit: Do not allocate stats in the driver
With commit 34d21de99c ("net: Move {l,t,d}stats allocation to core and
convert veth & vrf"), stats allocation could be done on net core
instead of this driver.

With this new approach, the driver doesn't have to bother with error
handling (allocation failure checking, making sure free happens in the
right spot, etc). This is core responsibility now.

Remove the allocation in the ipv6/sit driver and leverage the network
core allocation.

Justin Iurman f198d933c2 Fix write to cloned skb in ipv6_hop_ioam()
ioam6_fill_trace_data() writes inside the skb payload without ensuring
it's writeable (e.g., not cloned). This function is called both from the
input and output path. The output path (ioam6_iptunnel) already does the
check. This commit provides a fix for the input path, inside
ipv6_hop_ioam(). It also updates ip6_parse_tlv() to refresh the network
header pointer ("nh") when returning from ipv6_hop_ioam().

Paolo Abeni f796feabb9 udp: add local "peek offset enabled" flag
We want to re-organize the struct sock layout. The sk_peek_off
field location is problematic, as most protocols want it in the
RX read area, while UDP wants it on a cacheline different from
sk_receive_queue.

Create a local (inside udp_sock) copy of the 'peek offset is enabled'
flag and place it inside the same cacheline of reader_queue.

Check such flag before reading sk_peek_off. This will save potential
false sharing and cache misses in the fast-path.

Tested under UDP flood with small packets. The struct sock layout
update causes a 4% performance drop, and this patch restores completely
the original tput.

Alex Henrie f4bcbf360a net: ipv6/addrconf: clamp preferred_lft to the minimum required
If the preferred lifetime was less than the minimum required lifetime,
ipv6_create_tempaddr would error out without creating any new address.
On my machine and network, this error happened immediately with the
preferred lifetime set to 5 seconds or less, after a few minutes with
the preferred lifetime set to 6 seconds, and not at all with the
preferred lifetime set to 7 seconds. During my investigation, I found a
Stack Exchange post from another person who seems to have had the same
problem: They stopped getting new addresses if they lowered the
preferred lifetime below 3 seconds, and they didn't really know why.

The preferred lifetime is a preference, not a hard requirement. The
kernel does not strictly forbid new connections on a deprecated address,
nor does it guarantee that the address will be disposed of the instant
its total valid lifetime expires. So rather than disable IPv6 privacy
extensions altogether if the minimum required lifetime swells above the
preferred lifetime, it is more in keeping with the user's intent to
increase the temporary address's lifetime to the minimum necessary for
the current network conditions.

With these fixes, setting the preferred lifetime to 5 or 6 seconds "just
works" because the extra fraction of a second is practically
unnoticeable. It's even possible to reduce the time before deprecation
to 1 or 2 seconds by setting /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/*/regen_min_advance
and /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/*/dad_transmits to 0. I realize that that is
a pretty niche use case, but I know at least one person who would gladly
sacrifice performance and convenience to be sure that they are getting
the maximum possible level of privacy.

In RFC 8981, REGEN_ADVANCE cannot be less than 2 seconds, and the RFC
does not permit the creation of temporary addresses with lifetimes
shorter than that:

> When processing a Router Advertisement with a
> Prefix Information option carrying a prefix for the purposes of
> address autoconfiguration (i.e., the A bit is set), the host MUST
> perform the following steps:

> 5.  A temporary address is created only if this calculated preferred
>     lifetime is greater than REGEN_ADVANCE time units.

However, some users want to change their IPv6 address as frequently as
possible regardless of the RFC's arbitrary minimum lifetime. For the
benefit of those users, add a regen_min_advance sysctl parameter that
can be set to below or above 2 seconds.

Vadim Fedorenko 488b6d91b0 net-timestamp: make sk_tskey more predictable in error path
When SOF_TIMESTAMPING_OPT_ID is used to ambiguate timestamped datagrams,
the sk_tskey can become unpredictable in case of any error happened
during sendmsg(). Move increment later in the code and make decrement of
sk_tskey in error path. This solution is still racy in case of multiple
threads doing snedmsg() over the very same socket in parallel, but still
makes error path much more predictable.

Eric Dumazet 17ef8efc00 ipv6: mcast: remove one synchronize_net() barrier in ipv6_mc_down()
As discussed in the past (commit 2d3916f318 ("ipv6: fix skb drops
in igmp6_event_query() and igmp6_event_report()")) I think the
synchronize_net() call in ipv6_mc_down() is not needed.

Under load, synchronize_net() can last between 200 usec and 5 ms.

KASAN seems to agree as well.

Kui-Feng Lee 768e06a8bc net/ipv6: set expires in modify_prefix_route() if RTF_EXPIRES is set.
Make the decision to set or clean the expires of a route based on the
RTF_EXPIRES flag, rather than the value of the "expires" argument.

This patch doesn't make difference logically, but make inet6_addr_modify()
and modify_prefix_route() consistent.

The function inet6_addr_modify() is the only caller of
modify_prefix_route(), and it passes the RTF_EXPIRES flag and an expiration
value. The RTF_EXPIRES flag is turned on or off based on the value of
valid_lft. The RTF_EXPIRES flag is turned on if valid_lft is a finite value
(not infinite, not 0xffffffff). Even if valid_lft is 0, the RTF_EXPIRES
flag remains on. The expiration value being passed is equal to the
valid_lft value if the flag is on. However, if the valid_lft value is
infinite, the expiration value becomes 0 and the RTF_EXPIRES flag is turned
off. Despite this, modify_prefix_route() decides to set the expiration
value if the received expiration value is not zero. This mixing of infinite
and zero cases creates an inconsistency.

FIB6 GC walks trees of fib6_tables to remove expired routes. Walking a tree
can be expensive if the number of routes in a table is big, even if most of
them are permanent. Checking routes in a separated list of routes having
expiration will avoid this potential issue.

Kui-Feng Lee 129e406e18 net/ipv6: set expires in rt6_add_dflt_router().
Pass the duration of a lifetime (in seconds) to the function
rt6_add_dflt_router() so that it can properly set the expiration time.

The function ndisc_router_discovery() is the only one that calls
rt6_add_dflt_router(), and it will later set the expiration time for the
route created by rt6_add_dflt_router(). However, there is a gap of time
between calling rt6_add_dflt_router() and setting the expiration time in
ndisc_router_discovery(). During this period, there is a possibility that a
new route may be removed from the routing table. By setting the correct
expiration time in rt6_add_dflt_router(), we can prevent this from
happening. The reason for setting RTF_EXPIRES in rt6_add_dflt_router() is
to start the Garbage Collection (GC) timer, as it only activates when a
route with RTF_EXPIRES is added to a table.

Helge Deller 60365049cc ipv6: Ensure natural alignment of const ipv6 loopback and router addresses
On a parisc64 kernel I sometimes notice this kernel warning:
Kernel unaligned access to 0x40ff8814 at ndisc_send_skb+0xc0/0x4d8

The address 0x40ff8814 points to the in6addr_linklocal_allrouters
variable and the warning simply means that some ipv6 function tries to
read a 64-bit word directly from the not-64-bit aligned
in6addr_linklocal_allrouters variable.

Unaligned accesses are non-critical as the architecture or exception
handlers usually will fix it up at runtime. Nevertheless it may trigger
a performance penality for some architectures. For details read the
"unaligned-memory-access" kernel documentation.

The patch below ensures that the ipv6 loopback and router addresses will
always be naturally aligned. This prevents the unaligned accesses for
all architectures.

Add hidden IP(6)_NF_IPTABLES_LEGACY symbol.

When any of the "old" builtin tables are enabled the "old" iptables
interface will be supported.

To disable the old set/getsockopt interface the existing options
for the builtin tables need to be turned off:

CONFIG_IP_NF_IPTABLES=m
CONFIG_IP_NF_FILTER is not set
CONFIG_IP_NF_NAT is not set
CONFIG_IP_NF_MANGLE is not set
CONFIG_IP_NF_RAW is not set
CONFIG_IP_NF_SECURITY is not set

Same for CONFIG_IP6_NF_ variants.

This allows to build a kernel that only supports ip(6)tables-nft
(iptables-over-nftables api).

In the future the _LEGACY symbol will become visible and the select
statements will be turned into 'depends on', but for now be on safe side
so "make oldconfig" won't break things.

Breno Leitao 20df28fb5b net/ipv6: resolve warning in ip6_fib.c
In some configurations, the 'iter' variable in function
fib6_repair_tree() is unused, resulting the following warning when
compiled with W=1.

It is unclear what is the advantage of this RT6_TRACE() macro[1], since
users can control pr_debug() in runtime, which is better than at
compilation time. pr_debug() has no overhead when disabled.

Remove the RT6_TRACE() in favor of simple pr_debug() helpers.

In the ipv6 system, we have some logs basically dumping the name of the
function that is being called. This is not ideal, since ftrace give us
"for free". Moreover, checkpatch is not happy when touching that code:

Kuniyuki Iwashima 695751e31a bpf: tcp: Handle BPF SYN Cookie in cookie_v[46]_check().
We will support arbitrary SYN Cookie with BPF in the following
patch.

If BPF prog validates ACK and kfunc allocates a reqsk, it will
be carried to cookie_[46]_check() as skb->sk.  If skb->sk is not
NULL, we call cookie_bpf_check().

Then, we clear skb->sk and skb->destructor, which are needed not
to hold refcnt for reqsk and the listener.  See the following patch
for details.

After that, we finish initialisation for the remaining fields with
cookie_tcp_reqsk_init().

Note that the server side WScale is set only for non-BPF SYN Cookie.

   A tests occasionally shows that dump is mismatching because GC might

Nikita Zhandarovich 2e7ef287f0 ipv6: mcast: fix data-race in ipv6_mc_down / mld_ifc_work
idev->mc_ifc_count can be written over without proper locking.

Originally found by syzbot [1], fix this issue by encapsulating calls
to mld_ifc_stop_work() (and mld_gq_stop_work() for good measure) with
mutex_lock() and mutex_unlock() accordingly as these functions
should only be called with mc_lock per their declarations.

Pavel Tikhomirov 9874808878 netfilter: bridge: replace physindev with physinif in nf_bridge_info
An skb can be added to a neigh->arp_queue while waiting for an arp
reply. Where original skb's skb->dev can be different to neigh's
neigh->dev. For instance in case of bridging dnated skb from one veth to
another, the skb would be added to a neigh->arp_queue of the bridge.

As skb->dev can be reset back to nf_bridge->physindev and used, and as
there is no explicit mechanism that prevents this physindev from been
freed under us (for instance neigh_flush_dev doesn't cleanup skbs from
different device's neigh queue) we can crash on e.g. this stack:

arp_process
  neigh_update
    skb = __skb_dequeue(&neigh->arp_queue)
      neigh_resolve_output(..., skb)
        ...
          br_nf_dev_xmit
            br_nf_pre_routing_finish_bridge_slow
              skb->dev = nf_bridge->physindev
              br_handle_frame_finish

Let's use plain ifindex instead of net_device link. To peek into the
original net_device we will use dev_get_by_index_rcu(). Thus either we
get device and are safe to use it or we don't get it and drop skb.

Richard Gobert dff0b0161a net: gro: parse ipv6 ext headers without frag0 invalidation
The existing code always pulls the IPv6 header and sets the transport
offset initially. Then optionally again pulls any extension headers in
ipv6_gso_pull_exthdrs and sets the transport offset again on return from
that call. skb->data is set at the start of the first extension header
before calling ipv6_gso_pull_exthdrs, and must disable the frag0
optimization because that function uses pskb_may_pull/pskb_pull instead of
skb_gro_ helpers. It sets the GRO offset to the TCP header with
skb_gro_pull and sets the transport header. Then returns skb->data to its
position before this block.

This commit introduces a new helper function - ipv6_gro_pull_exthdrs -
which is used in ipv6_gro_receive to pull ipv6 ext headers instead of
ipv6_gso_pull_exthdrs. Thus, there is no modification of skb->data, all
operations use skb_gro_* helpers, and the frag0 fast path can be taken for
IPv6 packets with ext headers.

Zhengchao Shao b4c1d4d973 fib: remove unnecessary input parameters in fib_default_rule_add
When fib_default_rule_add is invoked, the value of the input parameter
'flags' is always 0. Rules uses kzalloc to allocate memory, so 'flags' has

This reverts commit 3dec89b14d.

The commit has some race conditions given how expires is managed on a
fib6_info in relation to gc start, adding the entry to the gc list and
setting the timer value leading to UAF. Revert the commit and try again
in a later release.

Maciej Żenczykowski bd4a816752 net: ipv6: support reporting otherwise unknown prefix flags in RTM_NEWPREFIX
Lorenzo points out that we effectively clear all unknown
flags from PIO when copying them to userspace in the netlink
RTM_NEWPREFIX notification.

We could fix this one at a time as new flags are defined,
or in one fell swoop - I choose the latter.

We could either define 6 new reserved flags (reserved1..6) and handle
them individually (and rename them as new flags are defined), or we
could simply copy the entire unmodified byte over - I choose the latter.

This unfortunately requires some anonymous union/struct magic,
so we add a static assert on the struct size for a little extra safety.

Dmitry Safonov da7dfaa6d6 net/tcp: Consistently align TCP-AO option in the header
Currently functions that pre-calculate TCP header options length use
unaligned TCP-AO header + MAC-length for skb reservation.
And the functions that actually write TCP-AO options into skb do align
the header. Nothing good can come out of this for ((maclen % 4) != 0).

Provide tcp_ao_len_aligned() helper and use it everywhere for TCP
header options space calculations.

Kuniyuki Iwashima 8e7bab6b96 tcp: Factorise cookie-dependent fields initialisation in cookie_v[46]_check()
We will support arbitrary SYN Cookie with BPF, and then kfunc at
TC will preallocate reqsk and initialise some fields that should
not be overwritten later by cookie_v[46]_check().

To simplify the flow in cookie_v[46]_check(), we move such fields'
initialisation to cookie_tcp_reqsk_alloc() and factorise non-BPF
SYN Cookie handling into cookie_tcp_check(), where we validate the
cookie and allocate reqsk, as done by kfunc later.

Note that we set ireq->ecn_ok in two steps, the latter of which will
be shared by the BPF case.  As cookie_ecn_ok() is one-liner, now
it's inlined.

Kuniyuki Iwashima 7b0f570f87 tcp: Move TCP-AO bits from cookie_v[46]_check() to tcp_ao_syncookie().
We initialise treq->af_specific in cookie_tcp_reqsk_alloc() so that
we can look up a key later in tcp_create_openreq_child().

Initially, that change was added for MD5 by commit ba5a4fdd63 ("tcp:
make sure treq->af_specific is initialized"), but it has not been used
since commit d0f2b7a9ca ("tcp: Disable header prediction for MD5
flow.").

Now, treq->af_specific is used only by TCP-AO, so, we can move that
initialisation into tcp_ao_syncookie().

In addition to that, l3index in cookie_v[46]_check() is only used for
tcp_ao_syncookie(), so let's move it as well.

While at it, we move down tcp_ao_syncookie() in cookie_v4_check() so
that it will be called after security_inet_conn_request() to make
functions order consistent with cookie_v6_check().

Eric Dumazet 0a8de364ff tcp: no longer abort SYN_SENT when receiving some ICMP
Currently, non fatal ICMP messages received on behalf
of SYN_SENT sockets do call tcp_ld_RTO_revert()
to implement RFC 6069, but immediately call tcp_done(),
thus aborting the connect() attempt.

This violates RFC 1122 following requirement:

4.2.3.9  ICMP Messages
...
          o    Destination Unreachable -- codes 0, 1, 5

                 Since these Unreachable messages indicate soft error
                 conditions, TCP MUST NOT abort the connection, and it
                 SHOULD make the information available to the
                 application.

This patch makes sure non 'fatal' ICMP[v6] messages do not
abort the connection attempt.

It enables RFC 6069 for SYN_SENT sockets as a result.

Kuniyuki Iwashima 23be1e0e2a dccp/tcp: Call security_inet_conn_request() after setting IPv6 addresses.
Initially, commit 4237c75c0a ("[MLSXFRM]: Auto-labeling of child
sockets") introduced security_inet_conn_request() in some functions
where reqsk is allocated.  The hook is added just after the allocation,
so reqsk's IPv6 remote address was not initialised then.

However, SELinux/Smack started to read it in netlbl_req_setattr()
after commit e1adea9270 ("calipso: Allow request sockets to be
relabelled by the lsm.").

Commit 284904aa79 ("lsm: Relocate the IPv4 security_inet_conn_request()
hooks") fixed that kind of issue only in TCPv4 because IPv6 labeling was
not supported at that time.  Finally, the same issue was introduced again
in IPv6.

Let's apply the same fix on DCCPv6 and TCPv6.

Dmitry Safonov 248411b8cb net/tcp: Wire up l3index to TCP-AO
Similarly how TCP_MD5SIG_FLAG_IFINDEX works for TCP-MD5,
TCP_AO_KEYF_IFINDEX is an AO-key flag that binds that MKT to a specified
by L3 ifinndex. Similarly, without this flag the key will work in
the default VRF l3index = 0 for connections.
To prevent AO-keys from overlapping, it's restricted to add key B for a
socket that has key A, which have the same sndid/rcvid and one of
the following is true:
- !(A.keyflags & TCP_AO_KEYF_IFINDEX) or !(B.keyflags & TCP_AO_KEYF_IFINDEX)
  so that any key is non-bound to a VRF
- A.l3index == B.l3index
  both want to work for the same VRF

Additionally, it's restricted to match TCP-MD5 keys for the same peer
the following way:

Dmitry Safonov 67fa83f7c8 net/tcp: Add static_key for TCP-AO
Similarly to TCP-MD5, add a static key to TCP-AO that is patched out
when there are no keys on a machine and dynamically enabled with the
first setsockopt(TCP_AO) adds a key on any socket. The static key is as
well dynamically disabled later when the socket is destructed.

The lifetime of enabled static key here is the same as ao_info: it is
enabled on allocation, passed over from full socket to twsk and
destructed when ao_info is scheduled for destruction.

tcp_inbound_hash(). It has checks for all possible cross-interactions
with MD5 signs as well as with unsigned segments.

The rules from RFC5925 are:

(2) TCP connections can't switch between using TCP-MD5 and TCP-AO.
(3) TCP-AO connections can't stop using AO, as well as unsigned
    connections can't suddenly start using AO.

(1) shares the common code with TCP-MD5 header options parsing
(2) looks for hash signature only once for both TCP-MD5 and TCP-AO

    ">> A single TCP segment MUST NOT have more than one TCP-AO in its
    options sequence. When multiple TCP-AOs appear, TCP MUST discard

Dmitry Safonov 1e03d32bea net/tcp: Add TCP-AO sign to outgoing packets
Using precalculated traffic keys, sign TCP segments as prescribed by
RFC5925. Per RFC, TCP header options are included in sign calculation:
"The TCP header, by default including options, and where the TCP
checksum and TCP-AO MAC fields are set to zero, all in network-
byte order." (5.1.3)

tcp_ao_hash_header() has exclude_options parameter to optionally exclude
TCP header from hash calculation, as described in RFC5925 (9.1), this is
needed for interaction with middleboxes that may change "some TCP
options". This is wired up to AO key flags and setsockopt() later.

Similarly to TCP-MD5 hash TCP segment fragments.

From this moment a user can start sending TCP-AO signed segments with
one of crypto ahash algorithms from supported by Linux kernel. It can
have a user-specified MAC length, to either save TCP option header space
or provide higher protection using a longer signature.
The inbound segments are not yet verified, TCP-AO option is ignored and
they are accepted.

Dmitry Safonov 0aadc73995 net/tcp: Prevent TCP-MD5 with TCP-AO being set
Be as conservative as possible: if there is TCP-MD5 key for a given peer
regardless of L3 interface - don't allow setting TCP-AO key for the same
peer. According to RFC5925, TCP-AO is supposed to replace TCP-MD5 and
there can't be any switch between both on any connected tuple.
Later it can be relaxed, if there's a use, but in the beginning restrict
any intersection.

Note: it's still should be possible to set both TCP-MD5 and TCP-AO keys
on a listening socket for *different* peers.

Dmitry Safonov 4954f17dde net/tcp: Introduce TCP_AO setsockopt()s
Add 3 setsockopt()s:
1. TCP_AO_ADD_KEY to add a new Master Key Tuple (MKT) on a socket
2. TCP_AO_DEL_KEY to delete present MKT from a socket
3. TCP_AO_INFO to change flags, Current_key/RNext_key on a TCP-AO sk

Userspace has to introduce keys on every socket it wants to use TCP-AO
option on, similarly to TCP_MD5SIG/TCP_MD5SIG_EXT.
RFC5925 prohibits definition of MKTs that would match the same peer,
so do sanity checks on the data provided by userspace. Be as
conservative as possible, including refusal of defining MKT on
an established connection with no AO, removing the key in-use and etc.

(1) and (2) are to be used by userspace key manager to add/remove keys.
(3) main purpose is to set RNext_key, which (as prescribed by RFC5925)
is the KeyID that will be requested in TCP-AO header from the peer to
sign their segments with.

At this moment the life of ao_info ends in tcp_v4_destroy_sock().

Dmitry Safonov 8c73b26315 net/tcp: Prepare tcp_md5sig_pool for TCP-AO
TCP-AO, similarly to TCP-MD5, needs to allocate tfms on a slow-path,
which is setsockopt() and use crypto ahash requests on fast paths,
which are RX/TX softirqs. Also, it needs a temporary/scratch buffer
for preparing the hash.

Rework tcp_md5sig_pool in order to support other hashing algorithms
than MD5. It will make it possible to share pre-allocated crypto_ahash
descriptors and scratch area between all TCP hash users.

Internally tcp_sigpool calls crypto_clone_ahash() API over pre-allocated
crypto ahash tfm. Kudos to Herbert, who provided this new crypto API.

I was a little concerned over GFP_ATOMIC allocations of ahash and
crypto_request in RX/TX (see tcp_sigpool_start()), so I benchmarked both
"backends" with different algorithms, using patched version of iperf3[2].
On my laptop with i7-7600U @ 2.80GHz:

Alex Henrie 629df6701c net: ipv6/addrconf: clamp preferred_lft to the minimum required
If the preferred lifetime was less than the minimum required lifetime,
ipv6_create_tempaddr would error out without creating any new address.
On my machine and network, this error happened immediately with the
preferred lifetime set to 1 second, after a few minutes with the
preferred lifetime set to 4 seconds, and not at all with the preferred
lifetime set to 5 seconds. During my investigation, I found a Stack
Exchange post from another person who seems to have had the same
problem: They stopped getting new addresses if they lowered the
preferred lifetime below 3 seconds, and they didn't really know why.

The preferred lifetime is a preference, not a hard requirement. The
kernel does not strictly forbid new connections on a deprecated address,
nor does it guarantee that the address will be disposed of the instant
its total valid lifetime expires. So rather than disable IPv6 privacy
extensions altogether if the minimum required lifetime swells above the
preferred lifetime, it is more in keeping with the user's intent to
increase the temporary address's lifetime to the minimum necessary for
the current network conditions.

With these fixes, setting the preferred lifetime to 3 or 4 seconds "just
works" because the extra fraction of a second is practically
unnoticeable. It's even possible to reduce the time before deprecation
to 1 or 2 seconds by also disabling duplicate address detection (setting
/proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/*/dad_transmits to 0). I realize that that is a
pretty niche use case, but I know at least one person who would gladly
sacrifice performance and convenience to be sure that they are getting
the maximum possible level of privacy.

Yan Zhai 03d6c848bf ipv6: avoid atomic fragment on GSO packets
When the ipv6 stack output a GSO packet, if its gso_size is larger than
dst MTU, then all segments would be fragmented. However, it is possible
for a GSO packet to have a trailing segment with smaller actual size
than both gso_size as well as the MTU, which leads to an "atomic
fragment". Atomic fragments are considered harmful in RFC-8021. An
Existing report from APNIC also shows that atomic fragments are more
likely to be dropped even it is equivalent to a no-op [1].

Add an extra check in the GSO slow output path. For each segment from
the original over-sized packet, if it fits with the path MTU, then avoid
generating an atomic fragment.

Yan Zhai 1f7ec1b372 ipv6: refactor ip6_finish_output for GSO handling
Separate GSO and non-GSO packets handling to make the logic cleaner. For
GSO packets, frag_max_size check can be omitted because it is only
useful for packets defragmented by netfilter hooks. Both local output
and GRO logic won't produce GSO packets when defragment is needed. This
also mirrors what IPv4 side code is doing.

Yan Zhai e57a344785 ipv6: drop feature RTAX_FEATURE_ALLFRAG
RTAX_FEATURE_ALLFRAG was added before the first git commit:

The feature would send packets to the fragmentation path if a box
receives a PMTU value with less than 1280 byte. However, since commit
9d289715eb ("ipv6: stop sending PTB packets for MTU < 1280"), such
message would be simply discarded. The feature flag is neither supported
in iproute2 utility. In theory one can still manipulate it with direct
netlink message, but it is not ideal because it was based on obsoleted
guidance of RFC-2460 (replaced by RFC-8200).

The feature would always test false at the moment, so remove related
code or mark them as unused.

Eric Dumazet 614e8316aa tcp: add support for usec resolution in TCP TS values
Back in 2015, Van Jacobson suggested to use usec resolution in TCP TS values.
This has been implemented in our private kernels.

Goals were :

1) better observability of delays in networking stacks.
2) better disambiguation of events based on TSval/ecr values.
3) building block for congestion control modules needing usec resolution.

Back then we implemented a schem based on private SYN options
to negotiate the feature.

For upstream submission, we chose to use a route attribute,
because this feature is probably going to be used in private
networks [1] [2].

ip route add 10/8 ... features tcp_usec_ts

Note that RFC 7323 recommends a
  "timestamp clock frequency in the range 1 ms to 1 sec per tick.",
but also mentions
  "the maximum acceptable clock frequency is one tick every 59 ns."

[1] Unfortunately RFC 7323 5.5 (Outdated Timestamps) suggests
to invalidate TS.Recent values after a flow was idle for more
than 24 days. This is the part making usec_ts a problem
for peers following this recommendation for long living
idle flows.

Eric Dumazet 16cf647774 tcp: replace tcp_time_stamp_raw()
In preparation of usec TCP TS support, remove tcp_time_stamp_raw()
in favor of tcp_clock_ts() helper. This helper will return a suitable
32bit result to feed TS values, depending on a socket field.

Also add tcp_tw_tsval() and tcp_rsk_tsval() helpers to factorize
the details.

We do not yet support usec timestamps.

Beniamino Galvani 946fcfdbc5 ipv6: add new arguments to udp_tunnel6_dst_lookup()
We want to make the function more generic so that it can be used by
other UDP tunnel implementations such as geneve and vxlan. To do that,
add the following arguments:

 - source and destination UDP port;
 - ifindex of the output interface, needed by vxlan;
 - the tos, because in some cases it is not taken from struct
   ip_tunnel_info (for example, when it's inherited from the inner
   packet);
 - the dst cache, because not all tunnel types (e.g. vxlan) want to
   use the one from struct ip_tunnel_info.

With these parameters, the function no longer needs the full struct
ip_tunnel_info as argument and we can pass only the relevant part of
it (struct ip_tunnel_key).

This is similar to what already done for IPv4 in commit 72fc68c635
("ipv4: add new arguments to udp_tunnel_dst_lookup()").

At the moment ip6_dst_lookup_tunnel() is used only by bareudp.
Ideally, other UDP tunnel implementations should use it, but to do so
the function needs to accept new parameters that are specific for UDP
tunnels, such as the ports.

Prepare for these changes by renaming the function to
udp_tunnel6_dst_lookup() and move it to file
net/ipv6/ip6_udp_tunnel.c.

This is similar to what already done for IPv4 in commit bf3fcbf7e7
("ipv4: rename and move ip_route_output_tunnel()").
