533bec143a arm/xen: Fix some refcount leaks
The of_find_compatible_node() function returns a node pointer with
refcount incremented, We should use of_node_put() on it when done
Add the missing of_node_put() to release the refcount.

b2371587fe arm/xen: Read extended regions from DT and init Xen resource
This patch implements arch_xen_unpopulated_init() on Arm where
the extended regions (if any) are gathered from DT and inserted
into specific Xen resource to be used as unused address space
for Xen scratch pages by unpopulated-alloc code.

The extended region (safe range) is a region of guest physical
address space which is unused and could be safely used to create
grant/foreign mappings instead of wasting real RAM pages from
the domain memory for establishing these mappings.

The extended regions are chosen by the hypervisor at the domain
creation time and advertised to it via "reg" property under
hypervisor node in the guest device-tree. As region 0 is reserved
for grant table space (always present), the indexes for extended
regions are 1...N.

If arch_xen_unpopulated_init() fails for some reason the default
behaviour will be restored (allocate xenballooned pages).

This patch also removes XEN_UNPOPULATED_ALLOC dependency on x86.

5e1cdb8ee5 arm/xen: Switch to use gnttab_setup_auto_xlat_frames() for DT
Read the start address of the grant table space from DT
(region 0).

This patch mostly restores behaviour before commit 3cf4095d74
("arm/xen: Use xen_xlate_map_ballooned_pages to setup grant table")
but trying not to break the ACPI support added after that commit.
So the patch touches DT part only and leaves the ACPI part with
xen_xlate_map_ballooned_pages(). Also in order to make a code more
resilient use a fallback to xen_xlate_map_ballooned_pages() if grant
table region wasn't found.

This is a preparation for using Xen extended region feature
where unused regions of guest physical address space (provided
by the hypervisor) will be used to create grant/foreign/whatever
mappings instead of wasting real RAM pages from the domain memory
for establishing these mappings.

The immediate benefit of this change:
- Avoid superpage shattering in Xen P2M when establishing
  stage-2 mapping (GFN <-> MFN) for the grant table space
- Avoid wasting real RAM pages (reducing the amount of memory
  usuable) for mapping grant table space
- The grant table space is always mapped at the exact
  same place (region 0 is reserved for the grant table)

ee1f9d1914 xen: allow pv-only hypercalls only with CONFIG_XEN_PV
Put the definitions of the hypercalls usable only by pv guests inside
CONFIG_XEN_PV sections.

On Arm two dummy functions related to pv hypercalls can be removed.

While at it remove the no longer supported tmem hypercall definition.

cfca563bc1 ARM: 9092/1: xen: Register with kernel restart handler
Register with kernel restart handler instead of setting arm_pm_restart
directly.

Select a high priority of 192 to ensure that default restart handlers
are replaced if Xen is running.

97729b653d xen/swiotlb: check if the swiotlb has already been initialized
xen_swiotlb_init calls swiotlb_late_init_with_tbl, which fails with
-ENOMEM if the swiotlb has already been initialized.

Add an explicit check io_tlb_default_mem != NULL at the beginning of
xen_swiotlb_init. If the swiotlb is already initialized print a warning
and return -EEXIST.

On x86, the error propagates.

On ARM, we don't actually need a special swiotlb buffer (yet), any
buffer would do. So ignore the error and continue.

f5079a9a2a xen/arm: introduce XENFEAT_direct_mapped and XENFEAT_not_direct_mapped
Newer Xen versions expose two Xen feature flags to tell us if the domain
is directly mapped or not. Only when a domain is directly mapped it
makes sense to enable swiotlb-xen on ARM.

Introduce a function on ARM to check the new Xen feature flags and also
to deal with the legacy case. Call the function xen_swiotlb_detect.

bce21a2b48 Xen/gnttab: introduce common INVALID_GRANT_{HANDLE,REF}
It's not helpful if every driver has to cook its own. Generalize
xenbus'es INVALID_GRANT_HANDLE and pcifront's INVALID_GRANT_REF (which
shouldn't have expanded to zero to begin with). Use the constants in
p2m.c and gntdev.c right away, and update field types where necessary so
they would match with the constants' types (albeit without touching
struct ioctl_gntdev_grant_ref's ref field, as that's part of the public
interface of the kernel and would require introducing a dependency on
Xen's grant_table.h public header).

0f9b05b9a0 Xen: drop exports of {set,clear}_foreign_p2m_mapping()
They're only used internally, and the layering violation they contain
(x86) or imply (Arm) of calling HYPERVISOR_grant_table_op() strongly
advise against any (uncontrolled) use from a module. The functions also
never had users except the ones from drivers/xen/grant-table.c forever
since their introduction in 3.15.

8310b77b48 Xen/gnttab: handle p2m update errors on a per-slot basis
Bailing immediately from set_foreign_p2m_mapping() upon a p2m updating
error leaves the full batch in an ambiguous state as far as the caller
is concerned. Instead flags respective slots as bad, unmapping what
was mapped there right away.

HYPERVISOR_grant_table_op()'s return value and the individual unmap
slots' status fields get used only for a one-time - there's not much we
can do in case of a failure.

Note that there's no GNTST_enomem or alike, so GNTST_general_error gets
used.

The map ops' handle fields get overwritten just to be on the safe side.

36bf1dfb8b xen/arm: don't ignore return errors from set_phys_to_machine
set_phys_to_machine can fail due to lack of memory, see the kzalloc call
in arch/arm/xen/p2m.c:__set_phys_to_machine_multi.

Don't ignore the potential return error in set_foreign_p2m_mapping,
returning it to the caller instead.

c4295ab0b4 arm/xen: Don't probe xenbus as part of an early initcall
After Commit 3499ba8198 ("xen: Fix event channel callback via
INTX/GSI"), xenbus_probe() will be called too early on Arm. This will
recent to a guest hang during boot.

If the hang wasn't there, we would have ended up to call
xenbus_probe() twice (the second time is in xenbus_probe_initcall()).

We don't need to initialize xenbus_probe() early for Arm guest.
Therefore, the call in xen_guest_init() is now removed.

After this change, there is no more external caller for xenbus_probe().
So the function is turned to a static one. Interestingly there were two
prototypes for it.

3499ba8198 xen: Fix event channel callback via INTX/GSI
For a while, event channel notification via the PCI platform device
has been broken, because we attempt to communicate with xenstore before
we even have notifications working, with the xs_reset_watches() call
in xs_init().

We tend to get away with this on Xen versions below 4.0 because we avoid
calling xs_reset_watches() anyway, because xenstore might not cope with
reading a non-existent key. And newer Xen *does* have the vector
callback support, so we rarely fall back to INTX/GSI delivery.

To fix it, clean up a bit of the mess of xs_init() and xenbus_probe()
startup. Call xs_init() directly from xenbus_init() only in the !XS_HVM
case, deferring it to be called from xenbus_probe() in the XS_HVM case
instead.

Then fix up the invocation of xenbus_probe() to happen either from its
device_initcall if the callback is available early enough, or when the
callback is finally set up. This means that the hack of calling
xenbus_probe() from a workqueue after the first interrupt, or directly
from the PCI platform device setup, is no longer needed.

5a0677110b arm/arm64: xen: Fix to convert percpu address to gfn correctly
Use per_cpu_ptr_to_phys() instead of virt_to_phys() for per-cpu
address conversion.

In xen_starting_cpu(), per-cpu xen_vcpu_info address is converted
to gfn by virt_to_gfn() macro. However, since the virt_to_gfn(v)
assumes the given virtual address is in linear mapped kernel memory
area, it can not convert the per-cpu memory if it is allocated on
vmalloc area.

This depends on CONFIG_NEED_PER_CPU_EMBED_FIRST_CHUNK.
If it is enabled, the first chunk of percpu memory is linear mapped.
In the other case, that is allocated from vmalloc area. Moreover,
if the first chunk of percpu has run out until allocating
xen_vcpu_info, it will be allocated on the 2nd chunk, which is
based on kernel memory or vmalloc memory (depends on
CONFIG_NEED_PER_CPU_KM).

Without this fix and kernel configured to use vmalloc area for
the percpu memory, the Dom0 kernel will fail to boot with following

f88af7229f xen/arm: do not setup the runstate info page if kpti is enabled
The VCPUOP_register_runstate_memory_area hypercall takes a virtual
address of a buffer as a parameter. The semantics of the hypercall are
such that the virtual address should always be valid.

When KPTI is enabled and we are running userspace code, the virtual
address is not valid, thus, Linux is violating the semantics of
VCPUOP_register_runstate_memory_area.

Do not call VCPUOP_register_runstate_memory_area when KPTI is enabled.

dma_cache_maint is getting called passing a dma address which could be
different from a physical address.

Add a struct device* parameter to dma_cache_maint.

Translate the dma_addr_t parameter of dma_cache_maint by calling
dma_to_phys. Do it for the first page and all the following pages, in
case of multipage handling.

63f0620cc5 xen/arm: introduce phys/dma translations in xen_dma_sync_for_*
xen_dma_sync_for_cpu, xen_dma_sync_for_device, xen_arch_need_swiotlb are
getting called passing dma addresses. On some platforms dma addresses
could be different from physical addresses. Before doing any operations
on these addresses we need to convert them back to physical addresses
using dma_to_phys.

Move the arch_sync_dma_for_cpu and arch_sync_dma_for_device calls from
xen_dma_sync_for_cpu/device to swiotlb-xen.c, and add a call dma_to_phys
to do address translations there.

dma_cache_maint is fixed by the next patch.

0951570685 xen/efi: have a common runtime setup function
Today the EFI runtime functions are setup in architecture specific
code (x86 and arm), with the functions themselves living in drivers/xen
as they are not architecture dependent.

As the setup is exactly the same for arm and x86 move the setup to
drivers/xen, too. This at once removes the need to make the single
functions global visible.

ec066de1a5 arm: xen: mm: use __GPF_DMA32 for arm64
arm64 shares some code under arch/arm/xen, including mm.c.
However ZONE_DMA is removed by commit
ad67f5a6545("arm64: replace ZONE_DMA with ZONE_DMA32").

So add a check if CONFIG_ZONE_DMA32 is enabled use __GFP_DMA32.

be exported. Since commit 15bfc2348d ("modpost: check for
static EXPORT_SYMBOL* functions"), this causes a warning:

Instead, export the underlying function called by the static inline:

exist and crash when running under Xen. Since the implementations of

b4dca15129 swiotlb-xen: simplify cache maintainance
Now that we know we always have the dma-noncoherent.h helpers available
if we are on an architecture with support for non-coherent devices,
we can just call them directly, and remove the calls to the dma-direct
routines, including the fact that we call the dma_direct_map_page
routines but ignore the value returned from it.  Instead we now have
Xen wrappers for the arch_sync_dma_for_{device,cpu} helpers that call
the special Xen versions of those routines for foreign pages.

Note that the new helpers get the physical address passed in addition
to the dma address to avoid another translation for the local cache
maintainance.  The pfn_valid checks remain on the dma address as in
the old code, even if that looks a little funny.

736706bee3 get rid of legacy 'get_ds()' function
Every in-kernel use of this function defined it to KERNEL_DS (either as
an actual define, or as an inline function).  It's an entirely
historical artifact, and long long long ago used to actually read the
segment selector valueof '%ds' on x86.

Which in the kernel is always KERNEL_DS.

Inspired by a patch from Jann Horn that just did this for a very small
subset of users (the ones in fs/), along with Al who suggested a script.
I then just took it to the logical extreme and removed all the remaining
gunk.

Roughly scripted with

   git grep -l '(get_ds())' -- :^tools/ | xargs sed -i 's/(get_ds())/(KERNEL_DS)/'
   git grep -lw 'get_ds' -- :^tools/ | xargs sed -i '/^#define get_ds()/d'

plus manual fixups to remove a few unusual usage patterns, the couple of
inline function cases and to fix up a comment that had become stale.

The 'get_ds()' function remains in an x86 kvm selftest, since in user
space it actually does something relevant.
