Rust symbols can become quite long due to namespacing introduced
by modules, types, traits, generics, etc. For instance,
the following code:
pub mod my_module {
pub struct MyType;
pub struct MyGenericType<T>(T);
pub trait MyTrait {
fn my_method() -> u32;
}
impl MyTrait for MyGenericType<MyType> {
fn my_method() -> u32 {
42
}
}
}
generates a symbol of length 96 when using the upcoming v0 mangling scheme:
_RNvXNtCshGpAVYOtgW1_7example9my_moduleINtB2_13MyGenericTypeNtB2_6MyTypeENtB2_7MyTrait9my_method
At the moment, Rust symbols may reach up to 300 in length.
Setting 512 as the maximum seems like a reasonable choice to
keep some headroom.

Commit a0a12c3ed0 ("asm goto: eradicate CC_HAS_ASM_GOTO") eradicates
CC_HAS_ASM_GOTO, and in the process also causes the perf tool on x86 to
use asm_volatile_goto when compiling __GEN_RMWcc.
However, asm_volatile_goto is not declared in the perf tool headers,
which causes a compilation error:

- Introduce 'perf lock contention' subtool, using new lock contention
tracepoints and using BPF for in kernel aggregation and then userspace
processing using the perf tooling infrastructure for resolving symbols, target
specification, etc.
Since the new lock contention tracepoints don't provide lock names, get up to
8 stack traces and display the first non-lock function symbol name as a caller:
$ perf lock report -F acquired,contended,avg_wait,wait_total
Name acquired contended avg wait total wait
update_blocked_a... 40 40 3.61 us 144.45 us
kernfs_fop_open+... 5 5 3.64 us 18.18 us

tick_do_update_j... 1 1 6.04 us 6.04 us
ep_scan_ready_list 1 1 3.93 us 3.93 us
Supports the usual 'perf record' + 'perf report' workflow as well as a
BCC/bpftrace like mode where you start the tool and then press control+C to get
results:
$ sudo perf lock contention -b

- Add new 'perf kwork' tool to trace time properties of kernel work (such as
softirq, and workqueue), uses eBPF skeletons to collect info in kernel space,
aggregating data that then gets processed by the userspace tool, e.g.:

Merge tag 'perf-tools-for-v6.0-2022-08-04' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/acme/linux
Pull perf tools updates from Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo:
- Introduce 'perf lock contention' subtool, using new lock contention
tracepoints and using BPF for in kernel aggregation and then
userspace processing using the perf tooling infrastructure for
resolving symbols, target specification, etc.
Since the new lock contention tracepoints don't provide lock names,
get up to 8 stack traces and display the first non-lock function
symbol name as a caller:
$ perf lock report -F acquired,contended,avg_wait,wait_total
Name acquired contended avg wait total wait
update_blocked_a... 40 40 3.61 us 144.45 us
kernfs_fop_open+... 5 5 3.64 us 18.18 us

tick_do_update_j... 1 1 6.04 us 6.04 us
ep_scan_ready_list 1 1 3.93 us 3.93 us
Supports the usual 'perf record' + 'perf report' workflow as well as
a BCC/bpftrace like mode where you start the tool and then press
control+C to get results:
$ sudo perf lock contention -b

In preparation for altering the non-atomic bitops with a macro, wrap
them in a transparent definition. This requires prepending one more
'_' to their names in order to be able to do that seamlessly. It is
a simple change, given that all the non-prefixed definitions are now
in asm-generic.
sparc32 already has several triple-underscored functions, so I had
to rename them ('___' -> 'sp32_').

Since entry asm is tricky, add a validation pass that ensures the
retbleed mitigation has been done before the first actual RET
instruction.
Entry points are those that either have UNWIND_HINT_ENTRY, which acts
as UNWIND_HINT_EMPTY but marks the instruction as an entry point, or
those that have UWIND_HINT_IRET_REGS at +0.
This is basically a variant of validate_branch() that is
intra-function and it will simply follow all branches from marked
entry points and ensures that all paths lead to ANNOTATE_UNRET_END.
If a path hits RET or an indirection the path is a fail and will be
reported.
There are 3 ANNOTATE_UNRET_END instances:
- UNTRAIN_RET itself
- exception from-kernel; this path doesn't need UNTRAIN_RET
- all early exceptions; these also don't need UNTRAIN_RET

The file-wide OBJECT_FILES_NON_STANDARD annotation is used with
CONFIG_FRAME_POINTER to tell objtool to skip the entire file when frame
pointers are enabled. However that annotation is now deprecated because
it doesn't work with IBT, where objtool runs on vmlinux.o instead of
individual translation units.
Instead, use more fine-grained function-specific annotations:
- The 'save_mcount_regs' macro does funny things with the frame pointer.
Use STACK_FRAME_NON_STANDARD_FP to tell objtool to ignore the
functions using it.
- The return_to_handler() "function" isn't actually a callable function.
Instead of being called, it's returned to. The real return address
isn't on the stack, so unwinding is already doomed no matter which
unwinder is used. So just remove the STT_FUNC annotation, telling
objtool to ignore it. That also removes the implicit
ANNOTATE_NOENDBR, which now needs to be made explicit.
Fixes the following warning:
vmlinux.o: warning: objtool: __fentry__+0x16: return with modified stack frame
Fixes: ed53a0d971 ("x86/alternative: Use .ibt_endbr_seal to seal indirect calls")

Both nodemask and bitmap routines had mixed return values that provided
potentially signed return values that could never happen. This was
leading to the compiler getting confusing about the range of possible
return values (it was thinking things could be negative where they could
not be). In preparation for fixing nodemask, fix all the bitmap routines
that should be returning unsigned (or bool) values.

Objtool's interface has some issues:
- Several features are done unconditionally, without any way to turn
them off. Some of them might be surprising. This makes objtool
tricky to use, and prevents porting individual features to other
arches.
- The config dependencies are too coarse-grained. Objtool enablement is
tied to CONFIG_STACK_VALIDATION, but it has several other features
independent of that.
- The objtool subcmds ("check" and "orc") are clumsy: "check" is really
a subset of "orc", so it has all the same options. The subcmd model
has never really worked for objtool, as it only has a single purpose:
"do some combination of things on an object file".
- The '--lto' and '--vmlinux' options are nonsensical and have
surprising behavior.
Overhaul the interface:
- get rid of subcmds
- make all features individually selectable
- remove and/or clarify confusing/obsolete options
- update the documentation
- fix some bugs found along the way
- Fix x32 regression
- Fix Kbuild cleanup bugs
- Add scripts/objdump-func helper script to disassemble a single function from an object file.
- Rewrite scripts/faddr2line to be section-aware, by basing it on 'readelf',
moving it away from 'nm', which doesn't handle multiple sections well,
which can result in decoding failure.
- Rewrite & fix symbol handling - which had a number of bugs wrt. object files
that don't have global symbols - which is rare but possible. Also fix a
bunch of symbol handling bugs found along the way.

32.2.4
Event Trace is a capability that exposes details about the asynchronous
events, when they are generated, and when their corresponding software
event handler completes execution. These include:
o Interrupts, including NMI and SMI, including the interrupt vector when
defined.
o Faults, exceptions including the fault vector.
— Page faults additionally include the page fault address, when in context.
o Event handler returns, including IRET and RSM.
o VM exits and VM entries.¹
— VM exits include the values written to the “exit reason” and “exit qualification” VMCS fields.
INIT and SIPI events.
o TSX aborts, including the abort status returned for the RTM instructions.
o Shutdown.
Additionally, it provides indication of the status of the Interrupt Flag
(IF), to indicate when interrupts are masked.

Patch series "test_hash.c: refactor into KUnit", v3.
We refactored the lib/test_hash.c file into KUnit as part of the student
group LKCAMP [1] introductory hackathon for kernel development.
This test was pointed to our group by Daniel Latypov [2], so its full
conversion into a pure KUnit test was our goal in this patch series, but
we ran into many problems relating to it not being split as unit tests,
which complicated matters a bit, as the reasoning behind the original
tests is quite cryptic for those unfamiliar with hash implementations.
Some interesting developments we'd like to highlight are:
- In patch 1/5 we noticed that there was an unused define directive
that could be removed.
- In patch 4/5 we noticed how stringhash and hash tests are all under
the lib/test_hash.c file, which might cause some confusion, and we
also broke those kernel config entries up.
Overall KUnit developments have been made in the other patches in this
series:
In patches 2/5, 3/5 and 5/5 we refactored the lib/test_hash.c file so as
to make it more compatible with the KUnit style, whilst preserving the
original idea of the maintainer who designed it (i.e. George Spelvin),
which might be undesirable for unit tests, but we assume it is enough
for a first patch.
This patch (of 5):
Currently, there exist hash_32() and __hash_32() functions, which were
introduced in a patch [1] targeting architecture specific optimizations.
These functions can be overridden on a per-architecture basis to achieve
such optimizations. They must set their corresponding define directive
(HAVE_ARCH_HASH_32 and HAVE_ARCH__HASH_32, respectively) so that header
files can deal with these overrides properly.
As the supported 32-bit architectures that have their own hash function
implementation (i.e. m68k, Microblaze, H8/300, pa-risc) have only been
making use of the (more general) __hash_32() function (which only lacks
a right shift operation when compared to the hash_32() function), remove
the define directive corresponding to the arch-specific hash_32()
implementation.

When building objtool with HOSTCC=clang, there are several errors along
the lines of
orc_dump.c:201:28: error: unknown attribute 'error' ignored [-Werror,-Wunknown-attributes]
This occurs after commit 4e59869aa6 ("compiler-gcc.h: drop checks for
older GCC versions"), which removed the GCC_VERSION gating. The removed
version check just so happened to prevent __compiletime_error() from
being defined with clang because it pretends to be GCC 4.2.1 for
compatibility but the error attribute was not added to clang until
14.0.0.
Commit 815f0ddb34 ("include/linux/compiler*.h: make compiler-*.h
mutually exclusive") and commit a3f8a30f3f ("Compiler Attributes: use
feature checks instead of version checks") refactored the handling of
attributes in the main kernel to avoid situations like this but that
refactoring has never been done for the tools directory.
Refactoring is a rather large undertaking and this has never been an
issue before so instead, just guard the definition of
__compiletime_error() with __has_attribute() so that there are no more
errors.

The linux/kconfig.h file was copied from the kernel but the line where
with the generated/autoconf.h include from where the CONFIG_ entries
would come from was deleted, as tools/ build system don't create that
file, so we ended up always defining just __LITTLE_ENDIAN as
CONFIG_CPU_BIG_ENDIAN was nowhere to be found.
This in turn ended up breaking the build in some systems where
__LITTLE_ENDIAN was already defined, such as the androind NDK.
So just ditch that block that depends on the CONFIG_CPU_BIG_ENDIAN
define.
The kconfig.h file was copied just to get IS_ENABLED() and a
'make -C tools/all' doesn't breaks with this removal.

GENMASK() has an input check which uses __builtin_choose_expr() to
enable a compile time sanity check of its inputs if they are known at
compile time.
However, it turns out that __builtin_constant_p() does not always return
a compile time constant [0]. It was thought this problem was fixed with
gcc 4.9 [1], but apparently this is not the case [2].
Switch to use __is_constexpr() instead which always returns a compile time
constant, regardless of its inputs.

and its BIG/little core/atom cpus.
- Introduce 'bperf' to share hardware PMCs with BPF.
- New --iostat option to collect and present IO stats on Intel hardware.
This functionality is based on recently introduced sysfs attributes
for Intel® Xeon® Scalable processor family (code name Skylake-SP):
commit bb42b3d397 ("perf/x86/intel/uncore: Expose an Uncore unit to IIO PMON mapping")
It is intended to provide four I/O performance metrics in MB per each
PCIe root port:
- Inbound Read: I/O devices below root port read from the host memory

- Change the COMM when starting tha workload so that --exclude-perf
doesn't seem to be not honoured.
- Improve 'Workload failed' message printing events + what was exec'ed.
- Fix cross-arch support for TIME_CONV.
perf report:
- Add option to disable raw event ordering.
- Dump the contents of PERF_RECORD_TIME_CONV in 'perf report -D'.
- Improvements to --stat output, that shows information about PERF_RECORD_ events.
- Preserve identifier id in OCaml demangler.
perf annotate:
- Show full source location with 'l' hotkey in the 'perf annotate' TUI.
- Add line number like in TUI and source location at EOL to the 'perf annotate' --stdio mode.
- Add --demangle and --demangle-kernel to 'perf annotate'.

Add an initial math64.h similar to linux/math64.h with functions
mul_u64_u64_div64() and mul_u64_u32_shr(). This isn't a direct copy of
include/linux/math64.h as that doesn't define mul_u64_u64_div64().
Implementation was written by Peter Zilkstra based on linux/math64.h
and div64.h[1]. The original implementation was not optimal on arm64 as
__int128 division is not optimal with a call out to __udivti3, so I
dropped the __int128 variant of mul_u64_u64_div64().

Users of the instruction decoder should use this to decode instruction
bytes. For that, have insn*() helpers return an int value to denote
success/failure. When there's an error fetching the next insn byte and
the insn falls short, return -ENODATA to denote that.
While at it, make insn_get_opcode() more stricter as to whether what has
seen so far is a valid insn and if not.
Copy linux/kconfig.h for the tools-version of the decoder so that it can
use IS_ENABLED().
Also, cast the INSN_MODE_KERN dummy define value to (enum insn_mode)
for tools use of the decoder because perf tool builds with -Werror and
errors out with -Werror=sign-compare otherwise.

Having the definition of static_call() in static_call_types.h makes
no sense as long struct static_call_key isn't defined there, as the
generic implementation of static_call() is referencing this structure.
So move the definition of struct static_call_key to static_call_types.h.

This adds definitions available in the uapi version.
Explanation:
In the kernel include of types.h the uapi version is included.
In tools the uapi/linux/types.h and linux/types.h are distinct.
For BPF programs a definition of __wsum is needed by the generated
bpf_helpers.h. The definition comes either from a generated vmlinux.h or
from <linux/types.h> that may be transitively included from bpf.h. The
perf build prefers linux/types.h over uapi/linux/types.h for
<linux/types.h>*. To allow tools/perf/util/bpf_skel/bpf_prog_profiler.bpf.c
to compile with the same include path used for perf then these
definitions are necessary.
There is likely a wider conversation about exactly how types.h should be
specified and the include order used by the perf build - it is somewhat
confusing that tools/include/uapi/linux/bpf.h is using the non-uapi
types.h.
*see tools/perf/Makefile.config:
...
INC_FLAGS += -I$(srctree)/tools/include/
INC_FLAGS += -I$(srctree)/tools/arch/$(SRCARCH)/include/uapi
INC_FLAGS += -I$(srctree)/tools/include/uapi
...
The include directories are scanned from left-to-right:
https://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/gcc/Directory-Options.html
As tools/include/linux/types.h appears before
tools/include/uapi/linux/types.h then I say it is preferred.

Summary of modules changes for the 5.12 merge window:
- Retire EXPORT_UNUSED_SYMBOL() and EXPORT_SYMBOL_GPL_FUTURE(). These export
types were introduced between 2006 - 2008. All the of the unused symbols have
been long removed and gpl future symbols were converted to gpl quite a long
time ago, and I don't believe these export types have been used ever since.
So, I think it should be safe to retire those export types now. (Christoph Hellwig)
- Refactor and clean up some aged code cruft in the module loader (Christoph Hellwig)
- Build {,module_}kallsyms_on_each_symbol only when livepatching is enabled, as
it is the only caller (Christoph Hellwig)
- Unexport find_module() and module_mutex and fix the last module
callers to not rely on these anymore. Make module_mutex internal to
the module loader. (Christoph Hellwig)
- Harden ELF checks on module load and validate ELF structures before checking
the module signature (Frank van der Linden)

- Core scheduler updates:
- Add CONFIG_PREEMPT_DYNAMIC: this in its current form adds the
preempt=none/voluntary/full boot options (default: full),
to allow distros to build a PREEMPT kernel but fall back to
close to PREEMPT_VOLUNTARY (or PREEMPT_NONE) runtime scheduling
behavior via a boot time selection.
There's also the /debug/sched_debug switch to do this runtime.
This feature is implemented via runtime patching (a new variant of static calls).
The scope of the runtime patching can be best reviewed by looking
at the sched_dynamic_update() function in kernel/sched/core.c.
( Note that the dynamic none/voluntary mode isn't 100% identical,
for example preempt-RCU is available in all cases, plus the
preempt count is maintained in all models, which has runtime
overhead even with the code patching. )
The PREEMPT_VOLUNTARY/PREEMPT_NONE models, used by the vast majority
of distributions, are supposed to be unaffected.
- Fix ignored rescheduling after rcu_eqs_enter(). This is a bug that
was found via rcutorture triggering a hang. The bug is that
rcu_idle_enter() may wake up a NOCB kthread, but this happens after
the last generic need_resched() check. Some cpuidle drivers fix it
by chance but many others don't.
In true 2020 fashion the original bug fix has grown into a 5-patch
scheduler/RCU fix series plus another 16 RCU patches to address
the underlying issue of missed preemption events. These are the
initial fixes that should fix current incarnations of the bug.
- Clean up rbtree usage in the scheduler, by providing & using the following
consistent set of rbtree APIs:
partial-order; less() based:
- rb_add(): add a new entry to the rbtree
- rb_add_cached(): like rb_add(), but for a rb_root_cached
total-order; cmp() based:
- rb_find(): find an entry in an rbtree
- rb_find_add(): find an entry, and add if not found
- rb_find_first(): find the first (leftmost) matching entry
- rb_next_match(): continue from rb_find_first()
- rb_for_each(): iterate a sub-tree using the previous two
- Improve the SMP/NUMA load-balancer: scan for an idle sibling in a single pass.
This is a 4-commit series where each commit improves one aspect of the idle
sibling scan logic.
- Improve the cpufreq cooling driver by getting the effective CPU utilization
metrics from the scheduler
- Improve the fair scheduler's active load-balancing logic by reducing the number
of active LB attempts & lengthen the load-balancing interval. This improves
stress-ng mmapfork performance.
- Fix CFS's estimated utilization (util_est) calculation bug that can result in
too high utilization values
- Misc updates & fixes:
- Fix the HRTICK reprogramming & optimization feature
- Fix SCHED_SOFTIRQ raising race & warning in the CPU offlining code
- Reduce dl_add_task_root_domain() overhead
- Fix uprobes refcount bug
- Process pending softirqs in flush_smp_call_function_from_idle()
- Clean up task priority related defines, remove *USER_*PRIO and
USER_PRIO()
- Simplify the sched_init_numa() deduplication sort
- Documentation updates
- Fix EAS bug in update_misfit_status(), which degraded the quality
of energy-balancing

Pull scheduler updates from Ingo Molnar:
"Core scheduler updates:
- Add CONFIG_PREEMPT_DYNAMIC: this in its current form adds the
preempt=none/voluntary/full boot options (default: full), to allow
distros to build a PREEMPT kernel but fall back to close to
PREEMPT_VOLUNTARY (or PREEMPT_NONE) runtime scheduling behavior via
a boot time selection.
There's also the /debug/sched_debug switch to do this runtime.
This feature is implemented via runtime patching (a new variant of
static calls).
The scope of the runtime patching can be best reviewed by looking
at the sched_dynamic_update() function in kernel/sched/core.c.
( Note that the dynamic none/voluntary mode isn't 100% identical,
for example preempt-RCU is available in all cases, plus the
preempt count is maintained in all models, which has runtime
overhead even with the code patching. )
The PREEMPT_VOLUNTARY/PREEMPT_NONE models, used by the vast
majority of distributions, are supposed to be unaffected.
In true 2020 fashion the original bug fix has grown into a 5-patch
scheduler/RCU fix series plus another 16 RCU patches to address the
underlying issue of missed preemption events. These are the initial
fixes that should fix current incarnations of the bug.
- Clean up rbtree usage in the scheduler, by providing & using the
following consistent set of rbtree APIs:
partial-order; less() based:
- rb_add(): add a new entry to the rbtree
- rb_add_cached(): like rb_add(), but for a rb_root_cached
total-order; cmp() based:
- rb_find(): find an entry in an rbtree
- rb_find_add(): find an entry, and add if not found
- rb_find_first(): find the first (leftmost) matching entry
- rb_next_match(): continue from rb_find_first()
- rb_for_each(): iterate a sub-tree using the previous two
- Improve the SMP/NUMA load-balancer: scan for an idle sibling in a
single pass. This is a 4-commit series where each commit improves
one aspect of the idle sibling scan logic.
- Improve the cpufreq cooling driver by getting the effective CPU
utilization metrics from the scheduler
- Improve the fair scheduler's active load-balancing logic by
reducing the number of active LB attempts & lengthen the
load-balancing interval. This improves stress-ng mmapfork
performance.
- Fix CFS's estimated utilization (util_est) calculation bug that can
result in too high utilization values
Misc updates & fixes:
- Fix the HRTICK reprogramming & optimization feature
- Fix SCHED_SOFTIRQ raising race & warning in the CPU offlining code
- Reduce dl_add_task_root_domain() overhead
- Fix uprobes refcount bug
- Process pending softirqs in flush_smp_call_function_from_idle()
- Clean up task priority related defines, remove *USER_*PRIO and
USER_PRIO()
- Simplify the sched_init_numa() deduplication sort
- Documentation updates
- Fix EAS bug in update_misfit_status(), which degraded the quality
of energy-balancing
- Smaller cleanups"

When exporting static_call_key; with EXPORT_STATIC_CALL*(), the module
can use static_call_update() to change the function called. This is
not desirable in general.
Not exporting static_call_key however also disallows usage of
static_call(), since objtool needs the key to construct the
static_call_site.
Solve this by allowing objtool to create the static_call_site using
the trampoline address when it builds a module and cannot find the
static_call_key symbol. The module loader will then try and map the
trampole back to a key before it constructs the normal sites list.
Doing this requires a trampoline -> key associsation, so add another
magic section that keeps those.

I've always been bothered by the endless (fragile) boilerplate for
rbtree, and I recently wrote some rbtree helpers for objtool and
figured I should lift them into the kernel and use them more widely.
Provide:
partial-order; less() based:
- rb_add(): add a new entry to the rbtree
- rb_add_cached(): like rb_add(), but for a rb_root_cached
total-order; cmp() based:
- rb_find(): find an entry in an rbtree
- rb_find_add(): find an entry, and add if not found
- rb_find_first(): find the first (leftmost) matching entry
- rb_next_match(): continue from rb_find_first()
- rb_for_each(): iterate a sub-tree using the previous two
Inlining and constant propagation should see the compiler inline the
whole thing, including the various compare functions.

The ORC metadata generated for UNWIND_HINT_FUNC isn't actually very
func-like. With certain usages it can cause stack state mismatches
because it doesn't set the return address (CFI_RA).
Also, users of UNWIND_HINT_RET_OFFSET no longer need to set a custom
return stack offset. Instead they just need to specify a func-like
situation, so the current ret_offset code is hacky for no good reason.
Solve both problems by simplifying the RET_OFFSET handling and
converting it into a more useful UNWIND_HINT_FUNC.
If we end up needing the old 'ret_offset' functionality again in the
future, we should be able to support it pretty easily with the addition
of a custom 'sp_offset' in UNWIND_HINT_FUNC.

There exists many build warnings when make M=samples/bpf on the Loongson
platform, this issue is MIPS related, x86 compiles just fine.
Here are some warnings:
CC samples/bpf/ibumad_user.o
samples/bpf/ibumad_user.c: In function ‘dump_counts’:
samples/bpf/ibumad_user.c:46:24: warning: format ‘%llu’ expects argument of type ‘long long unsigned int’, but argument 3 has type ‘__u64’ {aka ‘long unsigned int’} [-Wformat=]

MIPS needs __SANE_USERSPACE_TYPES__ before <linux/types.h> to select
'int-ll64.h' in arch/mips/include/uapi/asm/types.h, then it can avoid
build warnings when printing __u64 with %llu, %llx or %lld.
The header tools/include/linux/types.h defines __SANE_USERSPACE_TYPES__,
it seems that we can include <linux/types.h> in the source files which
have build warnings, but it has no effect due to actually it includes
usr/include/linux/types.h instead of tools/include/linux/types.h, the
problem is that "usr/include" is preferred first than "tools/include"
in samples/bpf/Makefile, that sounds like a ugly hack to -Itools/include
before -Iusr/include.
So define __SANE_USERSPACE_TYPES__ for MIPS in samples/bpf/Makefile
is proper, if add "TPROGS_CFLAGS += -D__SANE_USERSPACE_TYPES__" in
samples/bpf/Makefile, it appears the following error:
Auto-detecting system features:
... libelf: [ on ]
... zlib: [ on ]
... bpf: [ OFF ]
BPF API too old
make[3]: *** [Makefile:293: bpfdep] Error 1
make[2]: *** [Makefile:156: all] Error 2
With #ifndef __SANE_USERSPACE_TYPES__ in tools/include/linux/types.h,
the above error has gone and this ifndef change does not hurt other
compilations.

This adds instructions for
atomic[64]_[fetch_]and
atomic[64]_[fetch_]or
atomic[64]_[fetch_]xor
All these operations are isomorphic enough to implement with the same
verifier, interpreter, and x86 JIT code, hence being a single commit.
The main interesting thing here is that x86 doesn't directly support
the fetch_ version these operations, so we need to generate a CMPXCHG
loop in the JIT. This requires the use of two temporary registers,
IIUC it's safe to use BPF_REG_AX and x86's AUX_REG for this purpose.

This adds two atomic opcodes, both of which include the BPF_FETCH
flag. XCHG without the BPF_FETCH flag would naturally encode
atomic_set. This is not supported because it would be of limited
value to userspace (it doesn't imply any barriers). CMPXCHG without
BPF_FETCH woulud be an atomic compare-and-write. We don't have such
an operation in the kernel so it isn't provided to BPF either.
There are two significant design decisions made for the CMPXCHG
instruction:
- To solve the issue that this operation fundamentally has 3
operands, but we only have two register fields. Therefore the
operand we compare against (the kernel's API calls it 'old') is
hard-coded to be R0. x86 has similar design (and A64 doesn't
have this problem).
A potential alternative might be to encode the other operand's
register number in the immediate field.
- The kernel's atomic_cmpxchg returns the old value, while the C11
userspace APIs return a boolean indicating the comparison
result. Which should BPF do? A64 returns the old value. x86 returns
the old value in the hard-coded register (and also sets a
flag). That means return-old-value is easier to JIT, so that's
what we use.

A subsequent patch will add additional atomic operations. These new
operations will use the same opcode field as the existing XADD, with
the immediate discriminating different operations.
In preparation, rename the instruction mode BPF_ATOMIC and start
calling the zero immediate BPF_ADD.
This is possible (doesn't break existing valid BPF progs) because the
immediate field is currently reserved MBZ and BPF_ADD is zero.
All uses are removed from the tree but the BPF_XADD definition is
kept around to avoid breaking builds for people including kernel
