98a3308ea8 ARM: exynos: Fix infinite loops on CPU powerup failure
Add timeout to infinite loops during the CPU powerup procedures. It
is better to report an error instead of busylooping for infinite time
in case of failure.

629266bf72 ARM: exynos: Fix a leaked reference by adding missing of_node_put
The call to of_get_next_child returns a node pointer with refcount
incremented thus it must be explicitly decremented after the last
usage.

Detected by coccinelle with warnings like:

Undefined instruction is triggered during CP14 reset, because bits: #16
(Secure privileged invasive debug disabled) and #17 (Secure privileged
noninvasive debug disable) are set in DSCR. Those bits depend on SPNIDEN
and SPIDEN lines, which are provided by Secure JTAG hardware block. That
block in turn is powered from cluster 0 (big/Eagle), but the Exynos5422
boots on cluster 1 (LITTLE/KFC).

To fix this issue it is enough to turn on the power on the cluster 0 for
a while. This lets the Secure JTAG block to propagate the needed signals
to LITTLE/KFC cores and change their DSCR.

6213f70e7c ARM: smp: remove arch-provided "pen_release"
Consolidating the "pen_release" stuff amongst the various SoC
implementations gives credence to having a CPU holding pen for
secondary CPUs. However, this is far from the truth.

Many SoC implementations cargo-cult copied various bits of the pen
release implementation from the initial Realview/Versatile Express
implementation without understanding what it was or why it existed.
The reason it existed is because these are _development_ platforms,
and some board firmware is unable to individually control the
startup of secondary CPUs. Moreover, they do not have a way to
power down or reset secondary CPUs for hot-unplug. Hence, the
pen_release implementation was designed for ARM Ltd's development
platforms to provide a working implementation, even though it is
very far from what is required.

It was decided a while back to reduce the duplication by consolidating
the "pen_release" variable, but this only made the situation worse -
we have ended up with several implementations that read this variable
but do not write it - again, showing the cargo-cult mentality at work,
lack of proper review of new code, and in some cases a lack of testing.

While it would be preferable to remove pen_release entirely from the
kernel, this is not possible without help from the SoC maintainers,
which seems to be lacking. However, I want to remove pen_release from
arch code to remove the credence that having it gives.

This patch removes pen_release from the arch code entirely, adding
private per-SoC definitions for it instead, and explicitly stating
that write_pen_release() is cargo-cult copied and should not be
copied any further. Rename write_pen_release() in a similar fashion
as well.

cd4806911c ARM: exynos: Clear global variable on init error path
For most of Exynos SoCs, Power Management Unit (PMU) address space is
mapped into global variable 'pmu_base_addr' very early when initializing
PMU interrupt controller. A lot of other machine code depends on it so
when doing iounmap() on this address, clear the global as well to avoid
usage of invalid value (pointing to unmapped memory region).

Properly mapped PMU address space is a requirement for all other machine
code so this fix is purely theoretical. Boot will fail immediately in
many other places after following this error path.

ae35c48356 ARM: EXYNOS: Simplify code in coupled CPU idle hot path
exynos_enter_aftr() is called by coupled CPU idle code every time CPU
enters idle state, what can be considered as a hot path. Replace
of_machine_is_compatible() call with a simple SoC revision check.

of_machine_is_compatible() function performs a dozen of string comparisons
during the full device tree walk, while soc_is_exynos4412() is a simple
integer check on SoC revision variable.

a7480dbcf9 ARM: EXYNOS: Fix coupled CPU idle freeze on Exynos4210
Since commit 04c8b0f82c ("irqchip/gic: Make locking a BL_SWITCHER only
feature") coupled CPU idle freezes from time to time on Exynos4210. Later
commit 313c8c16ee ("PM / CPU: replace raw_notifier with atomic_notifier")
changed the context in which the CPU idle code is executed, what results
in fully reproducible freeze all the time. However, almost the same coupled
CPU idle code works fine on Exynos3250 regardless of the changes made in
the mentioned commits.

It turned out that the IPI call used on Exynos4210 is conflicting with the
change done in the first mentioned commit in GIC. Fix this by using the
same code path as for Exynos3250, instead of the IPI call for
synchronization with second CPU core, call dsb_sev() directly.

Tested on Exynos4210-based Trats and Origen boards.

1abd350237 ARM: align .data section
Robert Jarzmik reports that his PXA25x system fails to boot with 4.12,
failing at __flush_whole_cache in arch/arm/mm/proc-xscale.S:215:

   0xc0019e20 <+0>: ldr r1, [pc, #788]
   0xc0019e24 <+4>:     ldr     r0, [r1]	<== here

with r1 containing 0xc06f82cd, which is the address of "clean_addr".
Examination of the System.map shows:

c06f22c8 D user_pmd_table
c06f22cc d __warned.19178
c06f22cd d clean_addr

indicating that a .data.unlikely section has appeared just before the
.data section from proc-xscale.S. According to objdump -h, it appears
that our assembly files default their .data alignment to 2**0, which
is bad news if the preceding .data section size is not power-of-2
aligned at link time.

Add the appropriate .align directives to all assembly files in arch/arm
that are missing them where we require an appropriate alignment.

6ae52c65e0 ARM: SoC platform updates
In the SoC branch we normally collect classic arch/arm/mach-* contents, i.e.
C code changes for SoC platforms. This release cycle the diffstat is quite
nice, in that we're removing 3x the amount of code that's being added.

The main reason for this is that there's a removal of camera drivers for
Freescale i.MX chips (driver was removed so the device registration isn't
needed any more). There's also removal of display initialization code for OMAP
 that is no longer needed.

The rest are mostly minor tweaks and cleanups; constification on Samsung
platforms, cleanup of ux500 platform data, purge of other unused platform
data/device seutp on i.MX and other good stuff.

New SoC support this cycle is for two Allwinner platforms, H2+ and V3s.

07731019c5 pinctrl: samsung: Move retention control from mach-exynos to the pinctrl driver
This patch moves pad retention control from PMU driver to Exynos pin
controller driver. This helps to avoid possible ordering and logical
dependencies between machine, PMU and pin control code. Till now it
worked fine only because sys_ops for PMU and pin controller were called
in registration order.
This is also a preparation for adding new features to Exynos pin
controller driver, like runtime power management and suspending
individual pin controllers, which might be a part of some power domain.

a771151a83 ARM: SoC cleanups for v4.9
The cleanups for v4.9 are a little larger that usual, but thankfully
that is almost exclusively due to removing a significant number of
files that have become obsolete after the still ongoing conversion
of old board files to devicetree.

 - for mach-omap2, which is still the largest platform in arch/arm/,
the conversion to DT is finally complete after the Nokia N900 is
now fully supported there, along with the omap3 LDP, and we can
   remove those two board files.
If no regressions are found, another large cleanup for the platform
will happen as a follow-up, removing dead code and restructuring
the platform based on being DT-only.

 - In mach-imx, similar work is ongoing, but has not come that far.
This time, we remove the obsolete board file for the i.MX1
   generation, which like i.MX25, i.MX5, i.MX6, and i.MX7 is now DT-only.
The remaining board files are for i.MX2 and i.MX3 machines
based on old ARM926 or ARM1136 cores that should work with DT
   in principle.

 - realview has just been converted from board files to DT, and a lot
of code gets removed in the process. This is the last
ARM/Keil/Versatile derived platform that was still using board
files, the other ones being integrator, versatile and vexpress.
We can probably merge the remaining code into a single directory
   in the near future.

 - clps711x had completed the conversion in v4.8, but we accidentally
left the files in place that should have been deleted then.

Conflicts: two files deleted here have been modified upstream,
 the changes can be discarded.

b030485220 ARM: EXYNOS: Clear OF_POPULATED flag from PMU node in IRQ init callback
The Exynos PMU node is an interrupt, clock and PMU (Power Management Unit)
controller, and these functionalities are supported by different drivers
that matches the same compatible strings.

Since commit 15cc2ed6dc ("of/irq: Mark initialised interrupt controllers
as populated") the OF core flags interrupt controllers registered with the
IRQCHIP_DECLARE() macro as OF_POPULATED, so platform devices with the same
compatible string as the interrupt controller will not be registered.

This prevents the PMU platform device to be registered so the Exynos PMU
driver is never probed. This breaks (among other things) Suspend-to-RAM.

Fix this by clearing the OF_POPULATED flag in the PMU IRQ init callback,
to allow the Exynos PMU platform driver to be probed. The patch is based
on Philipp Zabel's "ARM: imx6: mark GPC node as not populated after irq
init to probe pm domain driver".

5c34a4e89c ARM: do away with ARCH_[WANT_OPTIONAL|REQUIRE]_GPIOLIB
This replaces:

- "select ARCH_REQUIRE_GPIOLIB" with "select GPIOLIB" as this can
  now be selected directly.

- "select ARCH_WANT_OPTIONAL_GPIOLIB" with no dependency: GPIOLIB
is now selectable by everyone, so we need not declare our
  intent to select it.

When ordering the symbols the following rationale was used:
if the selects were in alphabetical order, I moved select GPIOLIB
to be in alphabetical order, but if the selects were not
maintained in alphabetical order, I just replaced
"select ARCH_REQUIRE_GPIOLIB" with "select GPIOLIB".

1. Fix samsung-keypad build error if INPUT is selected as module.
The error though depends on some uncommon build settings so it
is not as easy to trigger.

2. Get rid of 'samsung_device_dma_mask' defined but not used warning.

4a5219edcd ARM: SoC driver updates for v4.7
Driver updates for ARM SoCs, these contain various things that touch
the drivers/ directory but got merged through arm-soc for practical
reasons. For the most part, this is now related to power management
controllers, which have not yet been abstracted into a separate
subsystem, and typically require some code in drivers/soc or arch/arm
 to control the power domains.

Another large chunk here is a rework of the NVIDIA Tegra USB3.0
support, which was surprisingly tricky and took a long time to
 get done.

Finally, reset controller handling as always gets merged through here
 as well.

8a6f71ccb6 ARM: exynos: don't select keyboard driver
The samsung-keypad driver is implicitly selected by ARCH_EXYNOS4 (why?),
but this fails if CONFIG_INPUT is a loadable module:

drivers/input/built-in.o: In function `samsung_keypad_remove':
drivers/input/keyboard/samsung-keypad.c:461: undefined reference to `input_unregister_device'

drivers/input/built-in.o:(.debug_addr+0x34): undefined reference to `input_set_capability'

This removes the 'select' as suggested by Krzysztof Kozlowski and
instead enables the driver from the defconfig files.

The problem does not happen on mainline kernels, as we don't normally
build built-in input drivers when CONFIG_INPUT=m, but I am experimenting
with a patch to change this, and the samsung keypad driver showed up
as one example that was silently broken before.

a0a966b838 ARM: EXYNOS: Properly skip unitialized parent clock in power domain on
We want to skip reparenting a clock on turning on power domain, if we
do not have the parent yet. The parent is obtained when turning the
domain off. However due to a typo, the loop is continued on IS_ERR() of
clock being reparented, not on the IS_ERR() of the parent.

Theoretically this could lead to OOPS on first turn on of a power
domain, if there was no turn off before. Practically that should never
happen because all power domains are turned on by default (reset value,
bootloader does not turn off them usually) so the first action will be
always turn off.

bfce552d0b drivers: soc: Add support for Exynos PMU driver
This patch moves Exynos PMU driver implementation from "arm/mach-exynos"
to "drivers/soc/samsung". This driver is mainly used for setting misc
bits of register from PMU IP of Exynos SoC which will be required to
configure before Suspend/Resume. Currently all these settings are done
in "arch/arm/mach-exynos/pmu.c" but moving ahead for ARM64 based SoC
support, there is a need of this PMU driver in driver/* folder.

This driver uses existing DT binding information and there should
be no functionality change in the supported platforms.

Masahiro Yamada
e324654294 ARM: use "depends on" for SoC configs instead of "if" after prompt
Many ARM sub-architectures use prompts followed by "if" conditional,
but it is wrong.

Please notice the difference between

    config ARCH_FOO
            bool "Foo SoCs" if ARCH_MULTI_V7

and

    config ARCH_FOO
            bool "Foo SoCs"
            depends on ARCH_MULTI_V7

These two are *not* equivalent!

In the former statement, it is not ARCH_FOO, but its prompt that
depends on ARCH_MULTI_V7. So, it is completely valid that ARCH_FOO
is selected by another, but ARCH_MULTI_V7 is still disabled. As it is
not unmet dependency, Kconfig never warns. This is probably not what
you want.

The former should be used only when you need to do so, and you really
understand what you are doing. (In most cases, it should be wrong!)

For enabling/disabling sub-architectures, the latter is always correct.

As a good side effect, this commit fixes some entries over 80 columns
(mach-imx, mach-integrator, mach-mbevu).

[Arnd: I note that there is not really a bug here, according to
the discussion that followed, but I can see value in being consistent
and in making the lines shorter]
