spi: pxa2xx_spi: Convert to use GPIO descriptors
This converts the PXA2xx SPI driver to use GPIO descriptors
exclusively to retrieve GPIO chip select lines.

The device tree and ACPI paths of the driver already use
descriptors, hence ->use_gpio_descriptors is already set and
this codepath is well tested.

Convert all the PXA boards providing chip select GPIOs as
platform data and drop the old GPIO chipselect handling in
favor of the core managing it exclusively.

spi: pxa2xx: Remove redundant ->read() and ->write() in struct chip_data
Since the commit 196b0e2cf2 ("spi: pxa2xx: Remove if statement

methods in the struct driver_data are reconfigured for each transfer.
Hence no need to keep the intermediate state in the struct chip_data.

The same applies to n_bytes member of the same data structure.
Get rid of unneeded storage for good.

spi: Cleanup on failure of initial setup
Commit c7299fea67 ("spi: Fix spi device unregister flow") changed the
SPI core's behavior if the ->setup() hook returns an error upon adding
an spi_device: Before, the ->cleanup() hook was invoked to free any
allocations that were made by ->setup(). With the commit, that's no
longer the case, so the ->setup() hook is expected to free the
allocations itself.

I've identified 5 drivers which depend on the old behavior and am fixing
them up hereinafter: spi-bitbang.c spi-fsl-spi.c spi-omap-uwire.c
spi-omap2-mcspi.c spi-pxa2xx.c

Importantly, ->setup() is not only invoked on spi_device *addition*:
It may subsequently be called to *change* SPI parameters. If changing
these SPI parameters fails, freeing memory allocations would be wrong.
That should only be done if the spi_device is finally destroyed.
I am therefore using a bool "initial_setup" in 4 of the affected drivers
to differentiate between the invocation on *adding* the spi_device and
any subsequent invocations: spi-bitbang.c spi-fsl-spi.c spi-omap-uwire.c
spi-omap2-mcspi.c

In spi-pxa2xx.c, it seems the ->setup() hook can only fail on spi_device
addition, not any subsequent calls. It therefore doesn't need the bool.

It's worth noting that 5 other drivers already perform a cleanup if the
->setup() hook fails.  Before c7299fea67, they caused a double-free
if ->setup() failed on spi_device addition. Since the commit, they're
fine. These drivers are: spi-mpc512x-psc.c spi-pl022.c spi-s3c64xx.c
spi-st-ssc4.c spi-tegra114.c

(spi-pxa2xx.c also already performs a cleanup, but only in one of
several error paths.)

spi: pxa2xx: Fix use-after-free on unbind
pxa2xx_spi_remove() accesses the driver's private data after calling

Fix by switching over to the new devm_spi_alloc_master/slave() helper
which keeps the private data accessible until the driver has unbound.

Merge series "spi: spi-sun6i: One fix and some improvements" from Marc Kleine-Budde <mkl@pengutronix.de>:
Hello,

this series first fixes the calculation of the clock rate. The driver will
round up to the nearest clock rate instead of rounding down. Resulting in SPI
devices accessed with a too high SPI clock.

The remaining patches improve the performance of the driver. The changes range
from micro-optimizations like reducing MMIO writes to the controller to
reducing the number of needed interrupts in some use cases.

regards,
Marc

spi: pxa2xx: Fix runtime PM ref imbalance on probe error
The PXA2xx SPI driver releases a runtime PM ref in the probe error path
even though it hasn't acquired a ref earlier.

Apparently commit e2b714afee ("spi: pxa2xx: Disable runtime PM if
controller registration fails") sought to copy-paste the invocation of
pm_runtime_disable() from pxa2xx_spi_remove(), but erroneously copied
the call to pm_runtime_put_noidle() as well. Drop it.

spi: pxa2xx: Fix controller unregister order
The PXA2xx SPI driver uses devm_spi_register_controller() on bind.
As a consequence, on unbind, __device_release_driver() first invokes
pxa2xx_spi_remove() before unregistering the SPI controller via
devres_release_all().

This order is incorrect: pxa2xx_spi_remove() disables the chip,
rendering the SPI bus inaccessible even though the SPI controller is
still registered. When the SPI controller is subsequently unregistered,
it unbinds all its slave devices. Because their drivers cannot access
the SPI bus, e.g. to quiesce interrupts, the slave devices may be left
in an improper state.

As a rule, devm_spi_register_controller() must not be used if the
->remove() hook performs teardown steps which shall be performed after
unregistering the controller and specifically after unbinding of slaves.

Fix by reverting to the non-devm variant of spi_register_controller().

An alternative approach would be to use device-managed functions for all
steps in pxa2xx_spi_remove(), e.g. by calling devm_add_action_or_reset()
on probe. However that approach would add more LoC to the driver and
it wouldn't lend itself as well to backporting to stable.

The improper use of devm_spi_register_controller() was introduced in 2013
by commit a807fcd090 ("spi: pxa2xx: use devm_spi_register_master()"),
but all earlier versions of the driver going back to 2006 were likewise
broken because they invoked spi_unregister_master() at the end of
pxa2xx_spi_remove(), rather than at the beginning.

spi: pxa2xx: Apply CS clk quirk to BXT
With a couple allies at Intel, and much badgering, I got confirmation
from Intel that at least BXT suffers from the same SPI chip-select
issue as Cannonlake (and beyond). The issue being that after going
through runtime suspend/resume, toggling the chip-select line without
also sending data does nothing.

Add the quirk to BXT to briefly toggle dynamic clock gating off and
on, forcing the fabric to wake up enough to notice the CS register
change.

spi: pxa2xx: Add CS control clock quirk
In some circumstances on Intel LPSS controllers, toggling the LPSS
CS control register doesn't actually cause the CS line to toggle.
This seems to be failure of dynamic clock gating that occurs after
going through a suspend/resume transition, where the controller
is sent through a reset transition. This ruins SPI transactions
that either rely on delay_usecs, or toggle the CS line without
sending data.

Whenever CS is toggled, momentarily set the clock gating register
to "Force On" to poke the controller into acting on CS.
