f10843e04a of: net: fix of_get_mac_addr_nvmem() for non-platform devices
of_get_mac_address() already supports fetching the MAC address by an
nvmem provider. But until now, it was just working for platform devices.
Esp. it was not working for DSA ports and PCI devices. It gets more
common that PCI devices have a device tree binding since SoCs contain
integrated root complexes.

Use the nvmem of_* binding to fetch the nvmem cells by a struct
device_node. We still have to try to read the cell by device first
because there might be a nvmem_cell_lookup associated with that device.

83216e3988 of: net: pass the dst buffer to of_get_mac_address()
of_get_mac_address() returns a "const void*" pointer to a MAC address.
Lately, support to fetch the MAC address by an NVMEM provider was added.
But this will only work with platform devices. It will not work with
PCI devices (e.g. of an integrated root complex) and esp. not with DSA
ports.

There is an of_* variant of the nvmem binding which works without
devices. The returned data of a nvmem_cell_read() has to be freed after
use. On the other hand the return of_get_mac_address() points to some
static data without a lifetime. The trick for now, was to allocate a
device resource managed buffer which is then returned. This will only
work if we have an actual device.

Change it, so that the caller of of_get_mac_address() has to supply a
buffer where the MAC address is written to. Unfortunately, this will
touch all drivers which use the of_get_mac_address().

Usually the code looks like:

This can then be simply rewritten as:

  of_get_mac_address(np, ndev->dev_addr);

Sometimes is_valid_ether_addr() is used to test the MAC address.
of_get_mac_address() already makes sure, it just returns a valid MAC
address. Thus we can just test its return code. But we have to be
careful if there are still other sources for the MAC address before the
of_get_mac_address(). In this case we have to keep the
is_valid_ether_addr() call.

The following coccinelle patch was used to convert common cases to the
new style. Afterwards, I've manually gone over the drivers and fixed the
return code variable: either used a new one or if one was already
available use that. Mansour Moufid, thanks for that coccinelle patch!

d473d32c2f of: property: fw_devlink: do not link ".*,nr-gpios"
[<vendor>,]nr-gpios property is used by some GPIO drivers[0] to indicate
the number of GPIOs present on a system, not define a GPIO. nr-gpios is
not configured by #gpio-cells and can't be parsed along with other
"*-gpios" properties.

nr-gpios without the "<vendor>," prefix is not allowed by the DT
spec[1], so only add exception for the ",nr-gpios" suffix and let the
error message continue being printed for non-compliant implementations.

48d499bd89 of: unittest: overlay: ensure proper alignment of copied FDT
The Devicetree standard specifies an 8 byte alignment of the FDT.
Code in libfdt expects this alignment for an FDT image in memory.
kmemdup() returns 4 byte alignment on openrisc.  Replace kmemdup()
with kmalloc(), align pointer, memcpy() to get proper alignment.

The 4 byte alignment exposed a related bug which triggered a crash
on openrisc with:

89897f739d of/address: Add infrastructure to declare MMIO as non-posted
This implements the 'nonposted-mmio' boolean property. Placing this
property in a bus marks all direct child devices as requiring
non-posted MMIO mappings. If no such property is found, the default
is posted MMIO.

of_mmio_is_nonposted() performs this check to determine if a given
device has requested non-posted MMIO.

of_address_to_resource() uses this to set the IORESOURCE_MEM_NONPOSTED
flag on resources that require non-posted MMIO.

of_iomap() and of_io_request_and_map() then use this flag to pick the
correct ioremap() variant.

This mechanism is currently restricted to builds that support Apple ARM
platforms, as an optimization.

649cab56de of: properly check for error returned by fdt_get_name()
fdt_get_name() returns error values via a parameter pointer
instead of in function return.  Fix check for this error value
in populate_node() and callers of populate_node().

Chasing up the caller tree showed callers of various functions
failing to initialize the value of pointer parameters that
can return error values.  Initialize those values to NULL.

The bug was introduced by
commit e6a6928c3e ("of/fdt: Convert FDT functions to use libfdt")
but this patch can not be backported directly to that commit
because the relevant code has further been restructured by
commit dfbd4c6eff ("drivers/of: Split unflatten_dt_node()")

The bug became visible by triggering a crash on openrisc with:

f7514a6630 of: property: fw_devlink: Add support for remote-endpoint
remote-endpoint property seems to always come in pairs where two devices
point to each other. So, we can't really tell from DT if there is a
functional probe order dependency between these two devices.

However, there can be other dependencies between two devices that point
to each other with remote-endpoint. This non-remote-endpoint dependency
combined with one of the remote-endpoint dependency can lead to a cyclic
dependency[1].

To avoid this cyclic dependency from incorrectly blocking probes,
fw_devlink needs to be made aware of remote-endpoint dependencies even
though remote-endpoint dependencies by themselves won't affect probe
ordering (because fw_devlink will see the cyclic dependency between
remote-endpoint devices and ignore the dependencies that cause the
cycle).

Also, if a device ever needs to know if a non-probe-blocking
remote-endpoint has finished probing, it can now use the sync_state() to
figure it out.

3b2dccc674 of: unittest: Statically apply overlays using fdtoverlay
Now that fdtoverlay is part of the kernel build, start using it to test
the unitest overlays we have by applying them statically. Create two new
base files static_base_1.dts and static_base_2.dts which includes other
.dtsi files.

Some unittest overlays deliberately contain errors that unittest checks
for. These overlays will cause fdtoverlay to fail, and are thus not
included for static builds.

d92e244322 of: unittest: Create overlay_common.dtsi and testcases_common.dtsi
In order to build-test the same unit-test files using fdtoverlay tool,
move the device nodes from the existing overlay_base.dts and
testcases_common.dts files to .dtsi counterparts. The .dts files now
include the new .dtsi files, resulting in exactly the same behavior as
earlier.

The .dtsi files can now be reused for compile time tests using
fdtoverlay (will be done by a later commit).

This is required because the base files passed to fdtoverlay tool
shouldn't be overlays themselves (i.e. shouldn't have the /plugin/;
tag).

Note that this commit also moves "testcase-device2" node to
testcases.dts from tests-interrupts.dtsi, as this node has a deliberate
error in it and is only relevant for runtime testing done with
unittest.c.

28db15d49c kexec: Use fdt_appendprop_addrrange() to add ima buffer to FDT
fdt_appendprop_addrrange() function adds a property, with the given name,
to the device tree at the given node offset, and also sets the address
and size of the property.  This function should be used to add
"linux,ima-kexec-buffer" property to the device tree and set the address
and size of the IMA measurement buffer, instead of using custom function.

Use fdt_appendprop_addrrange() to add  "linux,ima-kexec-buffer" property
to the device tree.  This property holds the address and size of
the IMA measurement buffer that needs to be passed from the current
kernel to the next kernel across kexec system call.

Remove custom code that is used in setup_ima_buffer() to add
"linux,ima-kexec-buffer" property to the device tree.

fee3ff99bc powerpc: Move arch independent ima kexec functions to drivers/of/kexec.c
The functions defined in "arch/powerpc/kexec/ima.c" handle setting up
and freeing the resources required to carry over the IMA measurement
list from the current kernel to the next kernel across kexec system call.
These functions do not have architecture specific code, but are
currently limited to powerpc.

Move remove_ima_buffer() and setup_ima_buffer() calls into
of_kexec_alloc_and_setup_fdt() defined in "drivers/of/kexec.c".

Move the remaining architecture independent functions from
"arch/powerpc/kexec/ima.c" to "drivers/of/kexec.c".
Delete "arch/powerpc/kexec/ima.c" and "arch/powerpc/include/asm/ima.h".
Remove references to the deleted files and functions in powerpc and
in ima.

Both arm64 and powerpc do essentially the same FDT /chosen setup for
kexec.  The differences are either omissions that arm64 should have
or additional properties that will be ignored.  The setup code can be
combined and shared by both powerpc and arm64.

The differences relative to the arm64 version:
 - If /chosen doesn't exist, it will be created (should never happen).
 - Any old dtb and initrd reserved memory will be released.
 - The new initrd and elfcorehdr are marked reserved.
 - "linux,booted-from-kexec" is set.

The differences relative to the powerpc version:
 - "kaslr-seed" and "rng-seed" may be set.
 - "linux,elfcorehdr" is set.
 - Any existing "linux,usable-memory-range" is removed.

Combine the code for setting up the /chosen node in the FDT and updating
the memory reservation for kexec, for powerpc and arm64, in
of_kexec_alloc_and_setup_fdt() and move it to "drivers/of/kexec.c".

 few months.

 not much more:

When CONFIG_OF_IRQ is not defined, it doesn't make sense to parse
interrupts property.

Also, parsing and tracking interrupts property breaks some PPC
devices[1].  But none of the IRQ drivers in PPC seem ready to be
converted to a proper platform (or any bus) driver. So, there's not much
of a point in tracking the interrupts property for CONFIG_PPC. So, let's
stop parsing interrupts for CONFIG_PPC.

5a3fa75a4d nvmem: Add driver to expose reserved memory as nvmem
Firmware/co-processors might use reserved memory areas in order to pass
data stemming from an nvmem device otherwise non accessible to Linux.
For example an EEPROM memory only physically accessible to firmware, or
data only accessible early at boot time.

In order to expose this data to other drivers and user-space, the driver
models the reserved memory area as an nvmem device.

supplanting dma_pfn_offset") always update dma_range_map even though it was
already set, like in the sunxi_mbus driver. the issue is reported at [1].
This patch avoid this(Updating it only when dev has valid dma-ranges).

Meanwhile, dma_range_map contains the devices' dma_ranges information,
This patch moves dma_range_map before of_iommu_configure. The iommu
driver may need to know the dma_address requirements of its iommu
consumer devices.

8a5a75e5e9 of/fdt: Make sure no-map does not remove already reserved regions
If the device tree is incorrectly configured, and attempts to
define a "no-map" reserved memory that overlaps with the kernel
data/code, the kernel would crash quickly after boot, with no
obvious clue about the nature of the issue.

For example, this would happen if we have the kernel mapped at
these addresses (from /proc/iomem):
40000000-41ffffff : System RAM
  40080000-40dfffff : Kernel code
  40e00000-411fffff : reserved
  41200000-413e0fff : Kernel data

And we declare a no-map shared-dma-pool region at a fixed address
within that range:

To fix this, when removing memory regions at early boot (which is
what "no-map" regions do), we need to make sure that the memory
is not already reserved. If we do, __reserved_mem_reserve_reg
will throw an error:

and the code that will try to use the region should also fail,
later on.

We do not do anything for non-"no-map" regions, as memblock
explicitly allows reserved regions to overlap, and the commit
that this fixes removed the check for that precise reason.

- Expose tag address bits in siginfo. The original arm64 ABI did not
   expose any of the bits 63:56 of a tagged address in siginfo. In the
   presence of user ASAN or MTE, this information may be useful. The
   implementation is generic to other architectures supporting tags (like
   SPARC ADI, subject to wiring up the arch code). The user will have to
   opt in via sigaction(SA_EXPOSE_TAGBITS) so that the extra bits, if
   available, become visible in si_addr.

62dcd9c59f earlycon: simplify earlycon-table implementation
Instead of using the array-of-pointers trick to avoid having gcc mess up
the earlycon array stride, specify type alignment when declaring entries
to prevent gcc from increasing alignment.

This is essentially an alternative (one-line) fix to the problem
addressed by commit dd709e72cb ("earlycon: Use a pointer table to fix
__earlycon_table stride").

gcc can increase the alignment of larger objects with static extent as
an optimisation, but this can be suppressed by using the aligned
attribute when declaring variables.

Note that we have been relying on this behaviour for kernel parameters
for 16 years and it indeed hasn't changed since the introduction of the
aligned attribute in gcc-3.1.

Commit dabf6b36b8 ("of: Add OF_DMA_DEFAULT_COHERENT & select it on
powerpc") added a check to of_dma_is_coherent which returns early
if OF_DMA_DEFAULT_COHERENT is enabled. This results in the of_node_put()
being skipped causing a memory leak. Moved the of_node_get() below this
check so we now we only get the node if OF_DMA_DEFAULT_COHERENT is not
enabled.

On r8a7791/koelsch and shmobile_defconfig, PCIe probing fails with:

    rcar-pcie fe000000.pcie: Adjusted size 0x0 invalid
    rcar-pcie: probe of fe000000.pcie failed with error -22

of_dma_get_range() returns the following map:

    cpu_start 0x40000000 dma_start 0x40000000 size 0x080000000 offset 0
    cpu_start 0x00000000 dma_start 0x00000000 size 0x100000000 offset 0

If CONFIG_ARM_LPAE=n, dma_addr_t is 32-bit.  Hence when assigning
r->dma_start + r->size to dma_end, this value will be truncated to
32-bit, yielding zero when processing the second table entry.
Consequently, both dma_start and dma_end will be zero, leading to a zero
size.

Fix this by changing the dma_start and dma_end variables from dma_addr_t
to u64.

ca05f33316 of: Fix reserved-memory overlap detection
The reserved-memory overlap detection code fails to detect overlaps if
either of the regions starts at address 0x0.  The code explicitly checks
for and ignores such regions, apparently in order to ignore dynamically
allocated regions which have an address of 0x0 at this point.  These
dynamically allocated regions also have a size of 0x0 at this point, so
fix this by removing the check and sorting the dynamically allocated
regions ahead of any static regions at address 0x0.

For example, there are two overlaps in this case but they are not
currently reported:

Split out all the bits that are purely for dma_map_ops implementations
and related code into a new <linux/dma-map-ops.h> header so that they
don't get pulled into all the drivers.  That also means the architecture
specific <asm/dma-mapping.h> is not pulled in by <linux/dma-mapping.h>
any more, which leads to a missing includes that were pulled in by the
x86 or arm versions in a few not overly portable drivers.

e0d072782c dma-mapping: introduce DMA range map, supplanting dma_pfn_offset
The new field 'dma_range_map' in struct device is used to facilitate the
use of single or multiple offsets between mapping regions of cpu addrs and
dma addrs.  It subsumes the role of "dev->dma_pfn_offset" which was only
capable of holding a single uniform offset and had no region bounds
checking.

The function of_dma_get_range() has been modified so that it takes a single
argument -- the device node -- and returns a map, NULL, or an error code.
The map is an array that holds the information regarding the DMA regions.
Each range entry contains the address offset, the cpu_start address, the
dma_start address, and the size of the region.

of_dma_configure() is the typical manner to set range offsets but there are
a number of ad hoc assignments to "dev->dma_pfn_offset" in the kernel
driver code.  These cases now invoke the function
dma_direct_set_offset(dev, cpu_addr, dma_addr, size).

d1ac0002dd of: address: Work around missing device_type property in pcie nodes
Recent changes to the DT PCI bus parsing made it mandatory for
device tree nodes describing a PCI controller to have the
'device_type = "pci"' property for the node to be matched.

Although this follows the letter of the specification, it
breaks existing device-trees that have been working fine
for years.  Rockchip rk3399-based systems are a prime example
of such collateral damage, and have stopped discovering their
PCI bus.

In order to paper over it, let's add a workaround to the code
matching the device type, and accept as PCI any node that is
named "pcie",

A warning will hopefully nudge the user into updating their
DT to a fixed version if they can, but the incentive is
obviously pretty small.

70a29209f6 of: platform: Destroy child devices symmetrically
Iterate over child devices in reverse when unpopulating a platform
device to make this step symmetrical with the population step. This
fixes an issue in the Tegra DRM driver where upon module unload the
DPAUX controller tries to unregister an I2C controller but will end
up waiting indefinitely because one of the SOR devices is keeping a
reference to it. Since the SOR devices are instantiated after the
DPAUX devices, they would only be removed (and hence release their
reference to the I2C controller) after the DPAUX devices have been
removed.

While destroying the child devices in reverse order helps in this
situation, it isn't fully safe to do so either. An even better way
would be for the child devices to be reordered to match the probe
order, which would work irrespective of the instantiation order.

However, reordering by probe order would be fairly complicated and
doesn't fix any known issues, so we'll go with the simpler fix for
now.

bda2127827 of: unittest: Use bigger address cells to catch parser regressions
Getting address and size cells for dma-ranges/ranges parsing is tricky
and shouldn't rely on the node's count_cells() method. The function
starts looking for cells on the parent node, as its supposed to work
with device nodes, which doesn't work when input with bus nodes, as
generally done when parsing ranges.

Add test to catch regressions on that specific quirk as developers will
be tempted to edit it out in favor of the default method.

is owned by the respective bus and related firmware bindings. In order
to let the generic OF layer handle the input translations to
an IOMMU id, for such busses the current of_dma_configure() interface
should be extended in order to allow the bus layer to provide the
device input id parameter - that is retrieved/assigned in bus
specific code and firmware.

Augment of_dma_configure() to add an optional input_id parameter,
leaving current functionality unchanged.

to add support for pinctrl-%d properties.

Of all the pinctrl-* properties in dts files (20322), only 47% (9531)
are pinctrl-%d properties. Of all the pinctrl-%d properties, 99.5%
(9486) are made up of pinctrl-[0-2]. 'pinctrl-8' is the current maximum
found in dts files.

Trying to parse all pinctrl-* properties and checking for pinctrl-%d is
unnecessarily complicated. So, just add support for pinctrl-[0-8] for
now. In the unlikely event we ever exceed pinctrl-8, we can come back
and improve this.

5a8d7f126c of: of_mdio: Correct loop scanning logic
Commit 209c65b61d ("drivers/of/of_mdio.c:fix of_mdiobus_register()")
introduced a break of the loop on the premise that a successful
registration should exit the loop. The premise is correct but not to
code, because rc && rc != -ENODEV is just a special error condition,
that means we would exit the loop even with rc == -ENODEV which is
absolutely not correct since this is the error code to indicate to the
MDIO bus layer that scanning should continue.

Fix this by explicitly checking for rc = 0 as the only valid condition
to break out of the loop.

Consider this example where -> means LHS device is a consumer of RHS
device and indentation represents "child of" of the previous device.

Device A -> Device C

Device B -> Device A
	Device C

Without this commit:
1. Device A is added.
2. Device A is added to waiting for supplier list (Device C)
3. Device B is added
4. Device B is linked as a consumer to Device A
5. Device A doesn't probe because it's waiting for Device C to be added.
6. Device B doesn't probe because Device A hasn't probed.
7. Device C will never be added because it's parent hasn't probed.

So, Device A, B and C will be in a probe/add deadlock.

This commit detects this scenario and stops trying to create a device
link between Device A and Device C since doing so would create the
following cycle:
Device A -> Devic C -(parent)-> Device B -> Device A.

With this commit:
1. Device A is added.
3. Device B is added
4. Device B is linked as a consumer to Device A
5. Device A probes.
6. Device B probes because Device A has probed.
7. Device C is added and probed.

7536c7e03e of/fdt: Remove redundant kbasename function call
For version 1 to 3 of the device tree, this is the node full
path as a zero terminated string, starting with "/". The
following equation will not hold, since the node name has
been processed in the fdt_get_name().

	*pathp == '/'

For version 16 and later, this is the node unit name only
(or an empty string for the root node). So the above
equation will still not hold.

So the kbasename() is redundant, just remove it.

The fw_devlink_pause() and fw_devlink_resume() APIs allow batching the
parsing of the device tree nodes when a lot of devices are added. This
will significantly cut down parsing time (as much a 1 second on some

tree nodes in a system.

make sure the supplier node is actually active. Otherwise this will
create a link relationship that will never be fulfilled. This, in the
worst case scenario, will hang the system during boot.

consumer/supplier relationship isn't fulfilled will not prevent devices
from successfully probing.

Upon adding a new device from a DT node, we scan its properties and its
children's properties in order to create a consumer/supplier
relationship between the device and the property provider.

That said, it's possible for some of the node's children to be disabled,
which will create links that'll never be fulfilled.

To get around this, use the for_each_available_child_of_node() function
instead of for_each_available_node() when iterating over the node's
children.

8f88fad370 of: property: Don't retry device_link_add() upon failure
When of_link_to_phandle() was implemented initially, there was no way to
tell if device_link_add() was failing because the supplier device hasn't
been parsed yet, hasn't been added yet, the links were creating a cycle,
etc. Some of these were transient errors that'd go away at a later
point.

However, with the current set of improved checks, if device_link_add()
fails, it'll only be for permanent errors like cycles or out-of-memory
errors.

Also, with the addition of DL_FLAG_SYNC_STATE_ONLY flag [1] to device
links, all the valid dependency cycles due to "proxy" device links
(needed for correctness of sync_state() device callback) will never fail
device_link_add() due to cycles.

So, continuing to retry failing device links (by returning -EAGAIN) is
no longer useful. At worst, it prevents platforms from setting
fw_devlink=on (or better) because it prevents proper boot up. So, let's
not do that anymore.

This is the fix for problem 5 of 5.

When overlay 'overlay_bad_add_dup_prop' is applied, the apply code
properly detects that a memory leak will occur if the overlay is removed
since the duplicate property is located in a base devicetree node and
reports via printk():

  OF: overlay: WARNING: memory leak will occur if overlay removed, property: /testcase-data-2/substation@100/motor-1/rpm_avail

The overlay is removed when the apply code detects multiple changesets
modifying the same property.  This is reported via printk():

  OF: overlay: ERROR: multiple fragments add, update, and/or delete property /testcase-data-2/substation@100/motor-1/rpm_avail

As a result of this error, the overlay is removed resulting in the
expected memory leak.

Add another device node level to the overlay so that the duplicate
property is located in a node added by the overlay, thus no memory
leak will occur when the overlay is removed.

Thus users of kmemleak will not have to debug this leak in the future.

1adc86798f of: some unittest overlays not untracked
kernel test robot reported "WARNING: held lock freed!" triggered by
unittest_gpio_remove(), which should not have been called because
the related gpio overlay was not tracked.  Another overlay that
was tracked had previously used the same id as the gpio overlay
but had not been untracked when the overlay was removed.  Thus the
clean up function of_unittest_destroy_tracked_overlays() incorrectly
attempted to remove the reused overlay id.

The current codebase makes use of the zero-length array language
extension to the C90 standard, but the preferred mechanism to declare
variable-length types such as these ones is a flexible array member[1][2],
introduced in C99:

By making use of the mechanism above, we will get a compiler warning
in case the flexible array does not occur last in the structure, which
will help us prevent some kind of undefined behavior bugs from being
inadvertently introduced[3] to the codebase from now on.

Also, notice that, dynamic memory allocations won't be affected by
this change:

"Flexible array members have incomplete type, and so the sizeof operator
may not be applied. As a quirk of the original implementation of
zero-length arrays, sizeof evaluates to zero."[1]

This issue was found with the help of Coccinelle.

When a DT overlay has a node label that is not present in the live
devicetree symbols table, this error is printed:

Randconfig testing found compile errors in drivers/of/unittest.c if
CONFIG_GPIOLIB is not set because CONFIG_OF_GPIO depends on
CONFIG_GPIOLIB.  Make the gpio overlay test depend on CONFIG_OF_GPIO.

No code is modified, it is only moved to a different location and
protected with #ifdef CONFIG_OF_GPIO.  An empty
of_unittest_overlay_gpio() is added in the #else.

Some tests in the devicetree unittests result in printk messages
from the code being tested.  It can be difficult to determine
whether the messages are the result of unittest or are potentially
reporting bugs that should be fixed.  The most recent example of
a person asking whether to be concerned about these messages is [1].

Add annotations for all messages triggered by unittests, except
KERN_DEBUG messages.  (KERN_DEBUG is a special case due to the
possible interaction of CONFIG_DYNAMIC_DEBUG.)

The format of the annotations is expected to change when unittests
are converted to use the kunit infrastructure when the broader
testing community has an opportunity to discuss the implementation
of annotations of test triggered messages.

Certain SoCs need to support a large amount of reserved memory
regions. For example, Qualcomm's SM8150 SoC requires that 20
regions of memory be reserved for a variety of reasons (e.g.
loading a peripheral subsystem's firmware image into a
particular space).

When adding more reserved memory regions to cater to different
usecases, the remaining number of reserved memory regions--12
to be exact--becomes too small. Thus, double the existing
limit of reserved memory regions.

9d55bebd98 of/address: Support multiple 'dma-ranges' entries
Currently, the DMA offset and mask for a device are set based only on the
first 'dma-ranges' entry. We should really be using all the entries. The
kernel doesn't yet support multiple offsets and sizes, so the best we can
do is to find the biggest size for a single offset. The algorithm is
copied from acpi_dma_get_range().

If there's different offsets from the first entry, then we warn and
continue. It really should be an error, but this will likely break
existing DTs.

of_dma_get_range() does the same ranges parsing as
of_pci_range_parser_one(), so let's refactor of_dma_get_range() to use
it instead.

This commit is no functional change. Subsequent commits will parse more

dabf6b36b8 of: Add OF_DMA_DEFAULT_COHERENT & select it on powerpc
There's an OF helper called of_dma_is_coherent(), which checks if a
device has a "dma-coherent" property to see if the device is coherent
for DMA.

But on some platforms devices are coherent by default, and on some
platforms it's not possible to update existing device trees to add the
"dma-coherent" property.

So add a Kconfig symbol to allow arch code to tell
of_dma_is_coherent() that devices are coherent by default, regardless
of the presence of the property.

Select that symbol on powerpc when NOT_COHERENT_CACHE is not set, ie.
when the system has a coherent cache.

b9f8c26afc of: base: Add of_get_cpu_state_node() to get idle states for a CPU node
The CPU's idle state nodes are currently parsed at the common cpuidle DT
library, but also when initializing data for specific CPU idle operations,
as in the PSCI cpuidle driver case and qcom-spm cpuidle case.

To avoid open-coding, let's introduce of_get_cpu_state_node(), which takes
the device node for the CPU and the index to the requested idle state node,
as in-parameters. In case a corresponding idle state node is found, it
returns the node with the refcount incremented for it, else it returns
NULL.

Moreover, for PSCI there are two options to describe the CPU's idle states
[1], either via a flattened description or a hierarchical layout. Hence,
let's take both options into account.
