Phillip Potter 321dc16d0a staging: rtl8192e: replace spaces with tab for a closing if brace
Remove spaces preceding closing brace of one of the nested if statement
blocks inside the rtl92e_leisure_ps_leave function, and replace with a
tab, to align it properly with the start of the block. Fixes a
checkpatch warning.

Phillip Potter 9d37086981 staging: rtl8192e: remove braces from single-line block
This removes the braces from the if statement that checks the
wps_ie_len and ieee->wps_ie values in rtllib_association_req of
rtllib_softmac.c as this block contains only one statement.
Fixes a checkpatch warning.

Kumar Kartikeya Dwivedi 3055b52625 staging: rtl8192e: Switch from strlcpy to strscpy
strlcpy is marked as deprecated in Documentation/process/deprecated.rst,
and there is no functional difference when the caller expects truncation
(when not checking the return value). strscpy is relatively better as it
also avoids scanning the whole source string.

This silences the related checkpatch warnings from:
5dbdb2d87c ("checkpatch: prefer strscpy to strlcpy")

Aditya Srivastava 1e9a9c7cba staging: rtl8192e: fix bool comparison in expressions
There are certain conditional expressions in rtl8192e, where a boolean
variable is compared with true/false, in forms such as (foo == true) or
(false != bar), which does not comply with checkpatch.pl (CHECK:
BOOL_COMPARISON), according to which boolean variables should be
themselves used in the condition, rather than comparing with true/false

E.g. in drivers/staging/rtl8192e/rtl8192e/r8192E_dev.c,
"if (Type == true)" can be replaced with: "if (Type)"

Replace all such expressions with the bool variables appropriately

Eric Biggers 23224e4500 mm: remove kzfree() compatibility definition
Commit 453431a549 ("mm, treewide: rename kzfree() to
kfree_sensitive()") renamed kzfree() to kfree_sensitive(),
but it left a compatibility definition of kzfree() to avoid
being too disruptive.

Since then a few more instances of kzfree() have slipped in.

Just get rid of them and remove the compatibility definition
once and for all.

Vaibhav Gupta 0c90789ad0 staging: rtl8192e: use generic power management
The structure of working of PM hooks for source files is:
    drivers/staging/rtl8192e/rtl8192e/rtl_pm.h   : callbacks declared
    drivers/staging/rtl8192e/rtl8192e/rtl_pm.c   : callbacks defined
    drivers/staging/rtl8192e/rtl8192e/rtl_core.c : callbacks used

Drivers should not use legacy power management as they have to manage power
states and related operations, for the device, themselves. This driver was
handling them with the help of PCI helper functions like
pci_save/restore_state(), pci_enable/disable_device(), etc.

With generic PM, all essentials will be handled by the PCI core. Driver
needs to do only device-specific operations.

The driver was also using pci_enable_wake(...,..., 0) to disable wake. Use
device_wakeup_disable() instead. Use device_set_wakeup_enable() where WOL
is decided by the value of a variable during runtime.

Compile-tested only.

Gustavo A. R. Silva 5979afa2c4 staging: Replace zero-length array with flexible-array member
The current codebase makes use of the zero-length array language
extension to the C90 standard, but the preferred mechanism to declare
variable-length types such as these ones is a flexible array member[1][2],
introduced in C99:

struct foo {
        int stuff;
        struct boo array[];
};

By making use of the mechanism above, we will get a compiler warning
in case the flexible array does not occur last in the structure, which
will help us prevent some kind of undefined behavior bugs from being
inadvertently introduced[3] to the codebase from now on.

Also, notice that, dynamic memory allocations won't be affected by
this change:

"Flexible array members have incomplete type, and so the sizeof operator
may not be applied. As a quirk of the original implementation of
zero-length arrays, sizeof evaluates to zero."[1]

This issue was found with the help of Coccinelle.

Kees Cook 6cfed59848 staging: rtl*: Remove tasklet callback casts
In order to make the entire kernel usable under Clang's Control Flow
Integrity protections, function prototype casts need to be avoided
because this will trip CFI checks at runtime (i.e. a mismatch between
the caller's expected function prototype and the destination function's
prototype). Many of these cases can be found with -Wcast-function-type,
which found that the rtl wifi drivers had a bunch of needless function
casts. Remove function casts for tasklet callbacks in the various drivers.

Pan Bian b7aa39a2ed staging: rtl8192e: fix potential use after free
The variable skb is released via kfree_skb() when the return value of

fixes the bug by moving the release operation to where skb is never
