0788148935 ARM: exynos_defconfig: Enable max77802 rtc and clock drivers
Commit 6e80e3d875 ("ARM: exynos_defconfig: Enable MAX77802")
enabled support for the max77802 regulators but the PMIC also
has a Real-Time-Clock (RTC) and 2-channel 32kHz clock outputs.

Enable the kernel config options to have the drivers for these
devices built-in since they are present in many Exynos boards.

49e41938f8 ARM: multi_v7_defconfig: fix failure setting CPU voltage by enabling dependent I2C controller
This patch fixes a long standing issue introduced during the 3.16 merge window.
Shortly after the merge, exynos5250-based arndale boards began to produce the
following errors:

kern.err kernel: exynos-cpufreq exynos-cpufreq: failed to set cpu voltage
kern.err kernel: cpufreq: __target_index: Failed to change cpu frequency: -22

Further analysis revealed that the S5M8767 voltage regulator used on the
exynos5250-based arndale board utilizes the S3C2410 I2C controller. If the
S3C2410 I2C controller driver is not enabled, the S5M8767 voltage regulator
fails to probe. Therefore a dependency exists between these two drivers.
In the exynos_defconfig both CONFIG_REGULATOR_S5M8767 and CONFIG_I2C_S3C2410
options are enabled, and no errors are produced. However, in the
multi_v7_defconfig only the CONFIG_REGULATOR_S5M8767 option is enabled and the
errors are present. So let's enable the CONFIG_I2C_S3C2410 option in the
multi_v7_defconfig to allow the S5M8767 voltage regulator to probe.

4257412db5 Few fixes for omaps to enable NAND BCH so devices won't
produce errors when booted with omap2plus_defconfig, and
reduce bloat by making IPV6 a loadable module.

Also let's add a warning about legacy boot being deprecated
 for omap3.

We now have things working with device tree, and only omap3 is
still booting in legacy mode. So hopefully this warning will
help move the remaining legacy mode users to boot with device
 tree.

As the total reduction of code and static data is somewhere
around 20000 lines of code once we remove omap3 legacy mode
booting, we really do want to make omap3 to boot also in
device tree mode only over the next few merge cycles.

Commit 673ce00c5d (ARM: omap2plus_defconfig: Add support for

Let's fix this issue by making what we can into loadable modules

seems, and IPv6 defaults to a loadable module.

9a2ad529ed ARM: sunxi_defconfig: enable CONFIG_REGULATOR
Commit 97a13e5289 ('net: phy: mdio-sun4i: don't select REGULATOR') removed
the select of REGULATOR, which means that it now has to be explicitly
enabled in the defconfig or things won't work very well.

In particular, this fixes a problem with SD/MMC not probing on my A31-based
board.

5c86c5339c ARM: omap2plus_defconfig: Enable ARM erratum 430973 for omap3
Somehow we don't have this set in omap2plus_defconfig. Without this
apps can segfault randomly on omap3. I can reproduce this easily
on am37xx-evm by doing apt-get update over NFSroot.

212fe84a6f ARM: SoC cleanups for 3.18
This time around, the cleanup branch contains mostly code removal. A number
of board files for at91, imx and msm have become obsolete because of the
DT conversion and are now ready to be removed. The OMAP platform has
traditionally had its own DMA engine abstraction and as this is being
phased out, a lot of the original code is now unused and can be removed
 as well.

S3C24xx can be simplified now that the restart code is a proper device
 driver.

Finally, a number of cleanups in shmobile are done to prepare for
the addition of new code in other branches.

7a512b0323 ARM: exynos_defconfig: Enable Maxim 77693 and I2C GPIO drivers
The Exynos System-on-Chips have ~7 distinctive I2C IO ports (exact
number depends on chip). However some integrated circuits on board, also
using I2C protocol for communication, can be connected to the SoC by
other GPIO. Enabling the I2C GPIO driver allows using such additional
integrated circuits.

An example of such chip using I2C and connected over GPIO to SoC is
Maxim 77693 MUIC on Trats2 board. The regulator driver of Maxim
77693 offers charger and safeout LDO (necessary for USB OTG).

Note that omap3 boards need also the ads7847 module for
the panel that we're now changing to a loadable module.
And n900 seems to require setting the brightness via
sysfs for acx565akm/brightness after modprobe of
panel_sony_acx565akm and omapfb.

111974506d ARM: omap2plus_defconfig: Enable battery and reset drivers
Since many omaps run on battery, we should have the battery
drivers enabled. Let's also enable the reset driver.

fdc509b15e ARM: omap2plus_defconfig: Add cpufreq to defconfig
Note that we can now use the CONFIG_GENERIC_CPUFREQ_CPU0,
so let's only enable that. Let's use CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_DEFAULT_GOV_ONDEMAND
as suggested by Nishant.

And also let's enable thermal as explained by Nishant Menon:

Many TI SoCs using Highest frequency is not really too nice of an idea for
long periods of time. And not everything is upstream to support things
optimially - example avs class 0, 1.5 ABB consolidation with cpufreq etc..
We definitely need thermal enabled as well for device safety needs.
