97d5ec5481 watchdog: f71808e_wdt: Add check for platform_driver_register
As platform_driver_register() could fail, it should be better
to deal with the return value in order to maintain the code
consisitency.

27e0fe00a5 watchdog: f71808e_wdt: refactor to platform device/driver pair
Driver so far wasn't ported to the driver model and registered
the watchdog device out of the init after probing the I/O ports
for a watchdog with correct vendor and device revision.

Keep the device detection part at init time, but move watchdog
registration to a platform driver probe function.

8bea27edc3 watchdog: f71808e_wdt: migrate to new kernel watchdog API
Migrating the driver lets us drop the watchdog misc device boilerplate
and reduces size by 285 lines. It also brings us support for new
functionality like CONFIG_WATCHDOG_HANDLE_BOOT_ENABLED.

This incurs a slight backwards-compatibility break, because the new
kernel watchdog API doesn't support unloading modules for drivers
whose watchdog hardware is reported to be running.

This means following scenario will be no longer supported:
 - BIOS has enabled watchdog
 - Module is loaded and unloaded without opening watchdog
 - module_exit is expected to succeed and disable watchdog HW

3a2c489513 watchdog: f71808e_wdt: rename variant-independent identifiers appropriately
Code for the common parts of the driver either uses watchdog_ as
prefix for the watchdog API or f71808e_ for everything else.

The driver now supports 9 more variants besides the f71808e,
so let's rename the common parts to start with fintek_wdt_ instead.

This makes code browsing easier, because it's readily apparent
that functions are not variant-specific. Some watchdog_-prefixed
functions remain, but these will be dropped altogether with the move
to the kernel watchdog API in a later commit.

4f39d57584 watchdog: f71808e_wdt: clear watchdog timeout occurred flag
The flag indicating a watchdog timeout having occurred normally persists
till Power-On Reset of the Fintek Super I/O chip. The user can clear it
by writing a `1' to the bit.

The driver doesn't offer a restart method, so regular system reboot
might not reset the Super I/O and if the watchdog isn't enabled, we
won't touch the register containing the bit on the next boot.
In this case all subsequent regular reboots will be wrongly flagged
by the driver as being caused by the watchdog.

Fix this by having the flag cleared after read. This is also done by
other drivers like those for the i6300esb and mpc8xxx_wdt.

802141462d watchdog: f71808e_wdt: remove use of wrong watchdog_info option
The flags that should be or-ed into the watchdog_info.options by drivers
all start with WDIOF_, e.g. WDIOF_SETTIMEOUT, which indicates that the
driver's watchdog_ops has a usable set_timeout.

WDIOC_SETTIMEOUT was used instead, which expands to 0xc0045706, which
equals:

   WDIOF_FANFAULT | WDIOF_EXTERN1 | WDIOF_PRETIMEOUT | WDIOF_ALARMONLY |
   WDIOF_MAGICCLOSE | 0xc0045000

These were so far indicated to userspace on WDIOC_GETSUPPORT.
As the driver has not yet been migrated to the new watchdog kernel API,
the constant can just be dropped without substitute.

b6dfb2477f compat_ioctl: move WDIOC handling into wdt drivers
All watchdog drivers implement the same set of ioctl commands, and
fortunately all of them are compatible between 32-bit and 64-bit
architectures.

Modern drivers always go through drivers/watchdog/wdt.c as an abstraction
layer, but older ones implement their own file_operations on a character
device for this.

Move the handling from fs/compat_ioctl.c into the individual drivers.

Note that most of the legacy drivers will never be used on 64-bit
hardware, because they are for an old 32-bit SoC implementation, but
doing them all at once is safer than trying to guess which ones do
or do not need the compat_ioctl handling.

c5bf68fe0c *: convert stream-like files from nonseekable_open -> stream_open
Using scripts/coccinelle/api/stream_open.cocci added in 10dce8af34
("fs: stream_open - opener for stream-like files so that read and write
can run simultaneously without deadlock"), search and convert to
stream_open all in-kernel nonseekable_open users for which read and
write actually do not depend on ppos and where there is no other methods
in file_operations which assume @offset access.

I've verified each generated change manually - that it is correct to convert -
and each other nonseekable_open instance left - that it is either not correct
to convert there, or that it is not converted due to current stream_open.cocci
limitations. The script also does not convert files that should be valid to
convert, but that currently have .llseek = noop_llseek or generic_file_llseek
for unknown reason despite file being opened with nonseekable_open (e.g.
drivers/input/mousedev.c)

Among cases converted 14 were potentially vulnerable to read vs write deadlock
(see details in 10dce8af34):

One can also recheck/review the patch via generating it with explanation comments included via

	$ make coccicheck MODE=patch COCCI=scripts/coccinelle/api/stream_open.cocci SPFLAGS="-D explain"

(*) This second group also contains cases with read/write deadlocks that
stream_open.cocci don't yet detect, but which are still valid to convert to
stream_open since ppos is not used. For example drivers/pci/switch/switchtec.c
calls wait_for_completion_interruptible() in its .read, but stream_open.cocci
currently detects only "wait_event*" as blocking.

3017020dc7 watchdog: f71808e_wdt: Add support for Jetway JNF99 motherboard
The Jetway JNF99 motherboard features a F71869 SuperIO chip, but its
watchdog chipset ID appears to be 1007 (as opposed to 0814). Some testing
confirmed it behaves the exact same as 0814. So add this chipset ID to the
module's ID list so that the Fintek watchdog driver can correctly identify
and access it.

90ab5ee941 module_param: make bool parameters really bool (drivers & misc)
module_param(bool) used to counter-intuitively take an int. In
fddd5201 (mid-2009) we allowed bool or int/unsigned int using a messy
trick.

It's time to remove the int/unsigned int option. For this version
it'll simply give a warning, but it'll break next kernel version.
