Rui Feng e455b69ddf misc: rtsx: Move Realtek Card Reader Driver to misc
Because Realtek card reader drivers are pcie and usb drivers,
and they bridge mmc subsystem and memstick subsystem, they are
not mfd drivers. Greg and Lee Jones had a discussion about
where to put the drivers, the result is that misc is a good
place for them, so I move all files to misc. If I don't move
them to a right place, I can't add any patch for this driver.

Masahiro Yamada c7836d1593 mmc: use empty initializer list to zero-clear structures
In the MMC subsystem, we see such initializers that only clears the
first member explicitly.

For example,

  struct mmc_request mrq = {NULL};

sets the first member (.sbc) to NULL explicitly. However, this is
an unstable form because we may insert a non-pointer member at the
top of the struct mmc_request in the future. (if we do so, the
compiler will spit warnings.)

So, using a designated initializer is preferred coding style. The
expression above is equivalent to:

  struct mmc_request mrq = { .sbc = NULL };

Of course, this does not express our intention. We want to fill
all struct members with zeros. Please note struct members are
implicitly zero-cleared unless otherwise specified in the initializer.

After all, the most reasonable (and stable) form is:

  struct mmc_request mrq = {};

Do likewise for mmc_command, mmc_data as well.

Linus Walleij d3c6aac3bd mmc: delete is_first_req parameter from pre-request callback
The void (*pre_req) callback in the struct mmc_host_ops vtable
is passing an argument "is_first_req" indicating whether this is
the first request or not.

None of the in-kernel users use this parameter: instead, since
they all just do variants of dma_map* they use the DMA cookie
to indicate whether a pre* callback has already been done for
a request when they decide how to handle it.

Delete the parameter from the callback and all users, as it is
just pointless cruft.

Bhaktipriya Shridhar 6ea6257945 mmc: rtsx_pci: Remove deprecated create_singlethread_workqueue
The workqueue "workq" provides support for sd/mmc async request, which
makes next request do dma_map_sg() while previous request transferring
data.

The workqueue has a single workitem(&host->work) and hence doesn't require
ordering. Also, it is not being used on a memory reclaim path. Hence,
the singlethreaded workqueue has been replaced with the use of system_wq.

System workqueues have been able to handle high level of concurrency
for a long time now and hence it's not required to have a singlethreaded
workqueue just to gain concurrency. Unlike a dedicated per-cpu workqueue
created with create_singlethread_workqueue(), system_wq allows multiple
work items to overlap executions even on the same CPU; however, a
per-cpu workqueue doesn't have any CPU locality or global ordering
guarantee unless the target CPU is explicitly specified and thus the
increase of local concurrency shouldn't make any difference.

Work item has been flushed in rtsx_pci_sdmmc_drv_remove() to ensure that
there are no pending tasks while disconnecting the driver.

Roger Tseng d1419d50c1 mmc: rtsx_pci_sdmmc: fix incorrect last byte in R2 response
Current code erroneously fill the last byte of R2 response with an undefined
value. In addition, the controller actually 'offloads' the last byte
(CRC7, end bit) while receiving R2 response and thus it's impossible to get the
actual value. This could cause mmc stack to obtain inconsistent CID from the
same card after resume and misidentify it as a different card.

Fix by assigning dummy CRC and end bit: {7'b0, 1} = 0x1 to the last byte of R2.

Micky Ching 98fcc5762d mmc: rtsx: Revert "mmc: rtsx: add support for pre_req and post_req"
This reverts commit c42deffd5b.

commit <mmc: rtsx: add support for pre_req and post_req> did use
mutex_unlock() in tasklet, but mutex_unlock() can't be used in
tasklet(atomic context). The driver needs to use mutex to avoid
concurrency, so we can't use tasklet here, the patch need to be
removed.

The spinlock host->lock and pcr->lock may deadlock, one way to solve
the deadlock is remove host->lock in sd_isr_done_transfer(), but if
using workqueue the we can avoid using the spinlock and also avoid
the problem.

Linus Torvalds ed5dc2372d MMC highlights for 3.9:
Core:
  - Support for packed commands in eMMC 4.5. (This requires a host
capability to be turned on. It increases write throughput by 20%+,
but may also increase average write latency; more testing needed.)
  - Add DT bindings for capability flags.
  - Add mmc_of_parse() for shared DT parsing between drivers.

 Drivers:
  - android-goldfish: New MMC driver for the Android Goldfish emulator.
  - mvsdio: Add DT bindings, pinctrl, use slot-gpio for card detection.
  - omap_hsmmc: Fix boot hangs with RPMB partitions.
  - sdhci-bcm2835: New driver for controller used by Raspberry Pi.
  - sdhci-esdhc-imx: Add 8-bit data, auto CMD23 support, use slot-gpio.
  - sh_mmcif: Add support for eMMC DDR, bundled MMCIF IRQs.
  - tmio_mmc: Add DT bindings, support for vccq regulator.

Roger Tseng ac48653cec mmc: rtsx: remove driving adjustment
Several new models of readers use different way to select driving
capability (a necessary adjustment along with voltage change). Removing
this from device-independent rtsx_pci_sdmmc module. It will be implemented
in device-depend calls encapsulated by rtsx_pci_switch_output_voltage().

Wei WANG c3481955f6 mfd: rtsx: Fix issue that booting OS with SD card inserted
Realtek card reader supports both SD and MS card. According to the
settings of rtsx MFD driver, SD host will be probed before MS host.
If we boot/reboot Linux with SD card inserted, the resetting flow of SD
card will succeed, and the following resetting flow of MS is sure to fail.
Then MS upper-level driver will ask rtsx driver to turn power off. This
request leads to the result that the following SD commands fail and SD card
can't be accessed again.

In this commit, Realtek's SD and MS host driver will check whether the card
that upper driver requesting is the one existing in the slot. If not, Realtek's
host driver will refuse the operation to make sure the exlusive accessing
at the same time.

Wei WANG 38d324df75 mmc: rtsx: Configure SD_CFG2 register in sd_rw_multi
For Realtek card reader, internal regsiter SD_CFG2 should be configured
before transferring data.
The default value of SD_CFG2 is proper for writing data. But for reading
sequence, the timing is not good enough. So in some extreme circumstance,
card reader may sample the response data from the card as good even if
the data is wrong. And this will cause the bad consequence.
In the prior version, the value of this register has been calculated,
but forgotten to write back to the internal register.
