e2e1ceb8ca staging: greybus: audio: Check null pointer

As the possible alloc failure of devm_kcalloc(), it could return null
pointer.
Therefore, 'strings' should be checked and return NULL if alloc fails to
prevent the dereference of the NULL pointer.
Also, the caller should also deal with the return value of the
gb_generate_enum_strings() and return -ENOMEM if returns NULL.
Moreover, because the memory allocated with devm_kzalloc() will be
freed automatically when the last reference to the device is dropped,
the 'gbe' in gbaudio_tplg_create_enum_kctl() and
gbaudio_tplg_create_enum_ctl() do not need to free manually.
But the 'control' in gbaudio_tplg_create_widget() and
gbaudio_tplg_process_kcontrols() has a specially error handle to
cleanup.
So it should be better to cleanup 'control' when fails.

ba7d5b3e33 media: hantro: Fix probe func error path

If clocks for some reason couldn't be enabled, probe function returns
immediately, without disabling PM. This obviously leaves PM ref counters
unbalanced.

Fix that by jumping to appropriate error path, so effects of PM functions
are reversed.

UBSAN is enabled:

Rework this code to no longer use compound literals for
initializing the structure in each case, but instead keep
the common bits in a preallocated constant array and copy
them as needed.

The comment explains that short circuiting here is undesirable, as the
calls to test_and_{clear,set}_bit() need to happen for both sides of the
expression.

Clang's suggestion would work to silence the warning but the readability
of the expression would suffer even more. To clean up the warning and
make the block more readable, use a variable for each side of the
bitwise expression.

e72e981d16 staging/fbtft: Fix backlight
commit 7865dd2493 upstream.

Commit b4a1ed0cd1 ("fbdev: make FB_BACKLIGHT a tristate") forgot to
update fbtft breaking its backlight support when FB_BACKLIGHT is a module.

Since FB_TFT selects FB_BACKLIGHT there's no need for this conditional
so just remove it and we're good.

8c68d12f1a wilc1000: fix possible memory leak in cfg_scan_result()

When the BSS reference holds a valid reference, it is not freed. The 'if'
condition is wrong. Instead of the 'if (bss)' check, the 'if (!bss)' check
is used.
The issue is solved by removing the unnecessary 'if' check because
cfg80211_put_bss() already performs the NULL validation.

e419469adf media: imx: set a media_device bus_info string

64e6632ab4 media: staging/intel-ipu3: css: Fix wrong size comparison imgu_css_fw_init

There is a wrong comparison of the total size of the loaded firmware
css->fw->size with the size of a pointer to struct imgu_fw_header.

Turn binary_header into a flexible-array member[1][2], use the
struct_size() helper and fix the wrong size comparison. Notice
that the loaded firmware needs to contain at least one 'struct
imgu_fw_info' item in the binary_header[] array.

It's also worth mentioning that

	"css->fw->size < struct_size(css->fwp, binary_header, 1)"

with binary_header declared as a flexible-array member is equivalent
to

	"css->fw->size < sizeof(struct imgu_fw_header)"

with binary_header declared as a one-element array (as in the original
code).

The replacement of the one-element array with a flexible-array member
also helps with the ongoing efforts to globally enable -Warray-bounds
and get us closer to being able to tighten the FORTIFY_SOURCE routines
on memcpy().

88a252ff78 comedi: vmk80xx: fix bulk and interrupt message timeouts

USB bulk and interrupt message timeouts are specified in milliseconds
and should specifically not vary with CONFIG_HZ.

Note that the bulk-out transfer timeout was set to the endpoint
bInterval value, which should be ignored for bulk endpoints and is
typically set to zero. This meant that a failing bulk-out transfer
would never time out.

Assume that the 10 second timeout used for all other transfers is more
than enough also for the bulk-out endpoint.

199acd8c11 comedi: vmk80xx: fix transfer-buffer overflows

The driver uses endpoint-sized USB transfer buffers but up until
recently had no sanity checks on the sizes.

Commit e1f13c879a ("staging: comedi: check validity of wMaxPacketSize
of usb endpoints found") inadvertently fixed NULL-pointer dereferences
when accessing the transfer buffers in case a malicious device has a
zero wMaxPacketSize.

Make sure to allocate buffers large enough to handle also the other
accesses that are done without a size check (e.g. byte 18 in
vmk80xx_cnt_insn_read() for the VMK8061_MODEL) to avoid writing beyond
the buffers, for example, when doing descriptor fuzzing.

The original driver was for a low-speed device with 8-byte buffers.
Support was later added for a device that uses bulk transfers and is
presumably a full-speed device with a maximum 64-byte wMaxPacketSize.

b0156b7c96 comedi: ni_usb6501: fix NULL-deref in command paths

The driver uses endpoint-sized USB transfer buffers but had no sanity
checks on the sizes. This can lead to zero-size-pointer dereferences or
overflowed transfer buffers in ni6501_port_command() and
ni6501_counter_command() if a (malicious) device has smaller max-packet
sizes than expected (or when doing descriptor fuzz testing).

Add the missing sanity checks to probe().

3efb7af8ac comedi: dt9812: fix DMA buffers on stack
commit 536de747bc upstream.

USB transfer buffers are typically mapped for DMA and must not be
allocated on the stack or transfers will fail.

Allocate proper transfer buffers in the various command helpers and
return an error on short transfers instead of acting on random stack
data.

Note that this also fixes a stack info leak on systems where DMA is not
used as 32 bytes are always sent to the device regardless of how short
the command is.

User space can hold a tty open indefinitely and tty drivers must not
release the underlying structures until the last user is gone.

Switch to using the tty-port reference counter to manage the life time
of the greybus tty state to avoid use after free after a disconnect.

of_genpd_add_device() is called before platform_device_register(), as it

e2f6d5b038 staging: rtl8712: get rid of flush_scheduled_work
commit 9be550ee43 upstream.

This patch is preparation for following patch for error handling
refactoring.

flush_scheduled_work() takes (wq_completion)events lock and
it can lead to deadlock when r871xu_dev_remove() is called from workqueue.
To avoid deadlock sutiation we can change flush_scheduled_work() call to
flush_work() call for all possibly scheduled works in this driver,
since next patch adds device_release_driver() in case of fw load failure.

eea7304dc2 staging: mt7621-dts: fix pci address for PCI memory range

Driver code call 'devm_of_pci_get_host_bridge_resources'
to get resources and properly fill 'bridge->windows' and
'bridge->dma_ranges'. After parsing the ranges and store
as resources, at the end it makes a call to pci function
'pci_add_resource_offset' to set the offset for the
memory resource. To calculate offset, resource start address
subtracts pci address of the range. MT7621 does not need
any offset for the memory resource. Moreover, setting an
offset got into 'WARN_ON' calls from pci devices driver code.
Until now memory range pci_addr was being '0x00000000' and
res->start is '0x60000000' but becase pci controller driver
was manually setting resources and adding them using pci function
'pci_add_resource' where a zero is passed as offset, things
was properly working. Since PCI_IOBASE is defined now for
ralink we don't set nothing manually anymore so we have to
properly fix PCI address for this range to make things work
and the new pci address must be set to '0x60000000'. Doing
in this way the subtract result obtain zero as offset
and pci device driver code properly works.

There is a leak in rtl8712 driver.
The problem was in non-freed adapter data if
firmware load failed.

This leak can be reproduced with this code:

There are 2 possible ways how rtl871x_load_fw_cb() and
r871xu_dev_remove() can be called (in case of fw load error).

1st case:
	r871xu_dev_remove() then rtl871x_load_fw_cb()

	In this case r871xu_dev_remove() will wait for
	completion and then will jump to the end, because
	rtl871x_load_fw_cb() set intfdata to NULL:

	And clean up code won't be executed again.

So, in all cases we need to free adapted data in rtl871x_load_fw_cb(),
because disconnect function cannot take care of it. And there won't be
any race conditions, because complete() call happens after setting
intfdata to NULL.

In previous patch I moved out free_netdev() from r8712_free_drv_sw()
and that's why now it's possible to free adapter data and then call
complete.

The infamous commit c440eee1a7 ("Staging: staging: fbtft: Switch to
the GPIO descriptor interface") broke GPIO handling completely.
It has already four commits to rectify and it seems not enough.
In order to fix the mess here we:

  1) Set default to "inactive" for all requested pins

  2) Fix CS#, RD#, and WR# pins polarity since it's active low
     and GPIO descriptor interface takes it into consideration
     from the Device Tree or ACPI

  3) Consolidate chip activation (CS# assertion) under default
     ->reset() callback

To summarize the expectations about polarity for GPIOs:

   RD#			Low
   WR#			Low
   CS#			Low
   RESET#		Low
   DC or RS		High
   RW			High
   Data	0 .. 15		High

Some BT.656 sensors (e.g. ADV718x) transmit frames with unstable BT.656
sync codes after initial power on. This confuses the imx CSI,resulting
in vertical and/or horizontal sync issues. Skip the first 20 frames

In 'rt2880_pmx_group_enable' driver is printing an error and returning
-EBUSY if a pin has been already enabled. This begets anoying messages
in the caller when this happens like the following:

rt2880-pinmux pinctrl: pcie is already enabled
mt7621-pci 1e140000.pcie: Error applying setting, reverse things back

To avoid this just print the already enabled message in the pinctrl
driver and return 0 instead to not confuse the user with a real
bad problem.

51a5e5e93c staging: greybus: uart: fix unprivileged TIOCCSERIAL

TIOCSSERIAL is a horrid, underspecified, legacy interface which for most
serial devices is only useful for setting the close_delay and
closing_wait parameters.

A non-privileged user has only ever been able to set the since long
deprecated ASYNC_SPD flags and trying to change any other *supported*
feature should result in -EPERM being returned. Setting the current
values for any supported features should return success.

Fix the greybus implementation which instead indicated that the
TIOCSSERIAL ioctl was not even implemented when a non-privileged user
set the current values.

c751e448b7 staging: rtl8192u: Fix potential infinite loop

The for-loop iterates with a u8 loop counter i and compares this
with the loop upper limit of riv->ieee80211->LinkDetectInfo.SlotNum
that is a u16 type. There is a potential infinite loop if SlotNum
is larger than the u8 loop counter. Fix this by making the loop
counter the same type as SlotNum.

The port close_delay parameter set by TIOCSSERIAL is specified in
jiffies, while the value returned by TIOCGSERIAL is specified in
centiseconds.

Add the missing conversions so that TIOCGSERIAL works as expected also
when HZ is not 100.

Do not modify imgu_pipe->nodes[inode].vdev_fmt.fmt.pix_mp, until the
format has been correctly validated.

Otherwise, even if we use a backup variable, there is a period of time
where imgu_pipe->nodes[inode].vdev_fmt.fmt.pix_mp might have an invalid
value that can be used by other functions.

If there in an error during a set_fmt, do not overwrite the previous
sizes with the invalid config.

Without this patch, v4l2-compliance ends up allocating 4GiB of RAM and
causing the following OOPs
