bea2b6a4e1 media: rcar-vin: Add support for suspend and resume
Add support for suspend and resume by stopping and starting the video
pipeline while still retaining all buffers given to the driver by
user-space and internally allocated ones, this gives the application a
seamless experience.

Buffers are never returned to user-space unprocessed so user-space don't
notice when suspending. When resuming the driver restarts the capture
session using the internal scratch buffer, this happens before
user-space is unfrozen, this leads to speedy response times once the
application resumes its execution.

As the entire pipeline is stopped on suspend all subdevices in use are
also stopped, and if they enter a shutdown state when not streaming
(such as the R-Car CSI-2 driver) they too will be suspended and resumed
in sync with the VIN driver.

To be able to do keep track of which VINs should be resumed a new
internal state SUSPENDED is added to recode this.

158e2a53fc media: rcar-vin: Cache the mbus configuration flags
Media bus configuration flags and media bus type were so far a property
of each VIN instance, as the subdevice they were connected to was
immutable during the whole system life time.

With the forth-coming introduction of parallel input devices support,
a VIN instance can have the subdevice it is connected to switched at
runtime, from a CSI-2 subdevice to a parallel one and viceversa, through
the modification of links between media entities in the media controller
graph. To avoid discarding the per-subdevice configuration flags retrieved by
v4l2_fwnode parsing facilities, cache them in the 'rvin_graph_entity'
member of each VIN instance, opportunely renamed to 'rvin_parallel_entity'.

Also modify the register configuration function to take mbus flags into
account when running on a bus type that supports them.

The media bus type currently in use will be updated in a follow-up patch
to the link state change notification function.

2241ea75b8 media: rcar-vin: Create a group notifier

with the forth-coming introduction of parallel input subdevices support
in mc-compliant code path, each VIN may register its own notifier if any
parallel subdevice is connected there.

To avoid registering a notifier twice (once for parallel subdev and one
for the CSI-2 subdevs) create a group notifier, shared by all the VIN
instances.

23689ab1ad media: rcar-vin: sync which hardware buffer to start capture from
When starting the VIN capture procedure we are not guaranteed that the
first buffer written to is VnMB1 to which we assigned the first buffer
queued. This is problematic for two reasons. Buffers might not be
dequeued in the same order they where queued for capture. Future
features planed for the VIN driver is support for outputting frames in
SEQ_TB/BT format and to do that it's important that capture starts from
the first buffer slot, VnMB1.

We are guaranteed that capturing always happens in sequence (VnMB1 ->
VnMB2 -> VnMB3 -> VnMB1). So drop up to two frames when starting
capturing so that the driver always returns buffers in the same order
they are queued and prepare for SEQ_TB/BT output.

c7e80b67b6 media: rcar-vin: parse Gen3 OF and setup media graph
The parsing and registering CSI-2 subdevices with the v4l2 async
framework is a collaborative effort shared between the VIN instances
which are part of the group. When the last VIN in the group is probed it
asks all other VINs to parse its share of OF and record the async
subdevices it finds in the notifier belonging to the last probed VIN.

Once all CSI-2 subdevices in this notifier are bound proceed to register
all VIN video devices of the group and crate media device links between
all CSI-2 and VIN entities according to the SoC specific routing
configuration.

90dedce9bc media: rcar-vin: add function to manipulate Gen3 chsel value
On Gen3 the CSI-2 routing is controlled by the VnCSI_IFMD register. One
feature of this register is that it's only present in the VIN0 and VIN4

register in VIN4 controls routing for VIN4-7.

To be able to control routing from a media device this function is need
to control runtime PM for the subgroup master (VIN0 and VIN4). The
subgroup master must be switched on before the register is manipulated,
once the operation is complete it's safe to switch the master off and
the new routing will still be in effect.

dc9aec795f media: rcar-vin: use scratch buffer and always run in continuous mode
Instead of switching capture mode depending on how many buffers are
available use a scratch buffer and always run in continuous mode. By
using a scratch buffer the responsiveness of the capture loop is
increased as it can keep running even if there are no buffers available
from userspace.

As soon as a userspace queues a buffer it is inserted into the capture
loop and returned as soon as it is filled. This is a improvement on the
previous logic where the whole capture loop was stopped and switched to
single capture mode if userspace did not feed the VIN driver buffers at
the same time it consumed them. To make matters worse it was difficult
for the driver to reenter continuous mode if it entered single mode even
if userspace started to queue buffers faster. This resulted in
suboptimal performance where if userspace where delayed for a short
period the ongoing capture would be slowed down and run in single mode
until the capturing process where restarted.

An additional effect of this change is that the capture logic can be
made much simple as we know that continuous mode will always be used.

Instead of using a custom driver implementation, use
v4l2_async_notifier_parse_fwnode_endpoints() to parse the fwnode endpoints

1eb36419ec [media] rcar-vin: move subdev source and sink pad index to rvin_graph_entity
It makes more sense to store the sink and source pads in struct
rvin_graph_entity since that contains other subdevice related
information.

The data type to store pad information in is unsigned int and not int,
change this. While we are at it drop the _idx suffix from the names,
this never made sense.

b50b77e6c9 [media] rcar-vin: move media bus information to struct rvin_graph_entity
The primary reason for this change is to prepare for Gen3 support where
there will be more then one possible video source. Each source will have
its own media bus format and code, so it needs to be moved from the per
device structure to a structure used to represent an individual
connection to a video source.

83fba2c06f [media] rcar-vin: rework how subdevice is found and bound
The original drivers code to find a subdevice by looking in the DT grpah
and how the callbacks to the v4l2 async bind framework where poorly
written. The most obvious example of badness was the duplication of data
in the struct rvin_graph_entity.

This patch removes the data duplication, simplifies the parsing of the
DT graph and add checks to the v4l2 callbacks.

fa03740350 [media] media: rcar-vin: pad-aware driver initialisation
Add detection of source pad number for drivers aware of the media controller
API, so that rcar-vin can create device nodes to support modern drivers such
as adv7604.c (for HDMI on Lager) and the converted adv7180.c (for composite)
underneath.

Building rcar_vin gains a dependency on CONFIG_MEDIA_CONTROLLER, in
line with requirements for building the drivers associated with it.
