Drivers should do only device-specific jobs. But in general, drivers using
legacy PCI PM framework for .suspend()/.resume() have to manage many PCI
PM-related tasks themselves which can be done by PCI Core itself. This
brings extra load on the driver and it directly calls PCI helper functions
to handle them.
Switch to the new generic framework by updating function signatures and
define a "struct dev_pm_ops" variable to bind PM callbacks. Also, remove
unnecessary calls to the PCI Helper functions along with the legacy
.suspend & .resume bindings.

Instead of relying on the now removed NULL argument to
pci_alloc_consistent, switch to the generic DMA API, and store the struct
device so that we can pass it.

Bare-metal toolchains don't define __linux__, so aic7xxx build with
bare-metal toolchain is broken. This driver codebase used to be partially
shared with FreeBSD, but these days there is no point in keeping the
compatibility around. So let's just drop FreeBSD related code and get rid
of __linux__ checking in order to fix the build using bare-metal
toolchains.

BUG_ON in slave_destroy. And again we don't really need the
slave_destroy callback nor the ahc_linux_target structure
at all.

Read the transciever register and display in the host transport
properties. I'm still not entirely sure what this does for multiple
transciever adapters (like some 160 ones) however, I suspect it
displays the transciever state of the switchable bus segment.

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history,
even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git
archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about
3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early
git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good
infrastructure for it.
Let it rip!
