881b495ed2 selftests: timers: Fix abs() warning in posix_timers test
commit ed366de8ec upstream.

Building with clang results in the following warning:

  posix_timers.c:69:6: warning: absolute value function 'abs' given an
      argument of type 'long long' but has parameter of type 'int' which may
      cause truncation of value [-Wabsolute-value]
        if (abs(diff - DELAY * USECS_PER_SEC) > USECS_PER_SEC / 2) {
            ^
So switch to using llabs() instead.

c3cb83560d selftests/timers: Add missing error code assignment before test
In order to work, the 'err' return value has to be updated otherwise the
test can never be true.

2430ec652d selftests/timers: Quiet warning due to lack of return check on brk
The posix_timers.c test has a loop that tries to keep it in
kernel space, repeatedly calling brk(). However, it doesn't
check the return value, which causes warnings.

This patch adds a err value which captures the return value
and modifies the test so it will quit if a failure occurs.

0bc4b0cf15 selftests: add basic posix timers selftests
Add some initial basic tests on a few posix timers interface such as
setitimer() and timer_settime().

These simply check that expiration happens in a reasonable timeframe after
expected elapsed clock time (user time, user + system time, real time,
...).

This is helpful for finding basic breakages while hacking
on this subsystem.
