17edea21b3 sock_map: Relax config dependency to CONFIG_NET
Currently sock_map still has Kconfig dependency on CONFIG_INET,
but there is no actual functional dependency on it after we
introduce ->psock_update_sk_prot().

We have to extend it to CONFIG_NET now as we are going to
support AF_UNIX.

887596095e bpf: Clean up sockmap related Kconfigs
As suggested by John, clean up sockmap related Kconfigs:

Reduce the scope of CONFIG_BPF_STREAM_PARSER down to TCP stream
parser, to reflect its name.

Make the rest sockmap code simply depend on CONFIG_BPF_SYSCALL
and CONFIG_INET, the latter is still needed at this point because
of TCP/UDP proto update. And leave CONFIG_NET_SOCK_MSG untouched,

6ac99e8f23 bpf: Introduce bpf sk local storage
After allowing a bpf prog to
- directly read the skb->sk ptr
- get the fullsock bpf_sock by "bpf_sk_fullsock()"
- get the bpf_tcp_sock by "bpf_tcp_sock()"
- get the listener sock by "bpf_get_listener_sock()"
- avoid duplicating the fields of "(bpf_)sock" and "(bpf_)tcp_sock"
  into different bpf running context.

this patch is another effort to make bpf's network programming
more intuitive to do (together with memory and performance benefit).

When bpf prog needs to store data for a sk, the current practice is to
define a map with the usual 4-tuples (src/dst ip/port) as the key.
If multiple bpf progs require to store different sk data, multiple maps
have to be defined. Hence, wasting memory to store the duplicated
keys (i.e. 4 tuples here) in each of the bpf map.
[ The smallest key could be the sk pointer itself which requires
some enhancement in the verifier and it is a separate topic. ]

Also, the bpf prog needs to clean up the elem when sk is freed.
Otherwise, the bpf map will become full and un-usable quickly.
The sk-free tracking currently could be done during sk state
transition (e.g. BPF_SOCK_OPS_STATE_CB).

The size of the map needs to be predefined which then usually ended-up
with an over-provisioned map in production. Even the map was re-sizable,
while the sk naturally come and go away already, this potential re-size
operation is arguably redundant if the data can be directly connected
to the sk itself instead of proxy-ing through a bpf map.

This patch introduces sk->sk_bpf_storage to provide local storage space
at sk for bpf prog to use. The space will be allocated when the first bpf
prog has created data for this particular sk.

The design optimizes the bpf prog's lookup (and then optionally followed by
an inline update). bpf_spin_lock should be used if the inline update needs
to be protected.

BPF_MAP_TYPE_SK_STORAGE:
-----------------------
To define a bpf "sk-local-storage", a BPF_MAP_TYPE_SK_STORAGE map (new in
this patch) needs to be created. Multiple BPF_MAP_TYPE_SK_STORAGE maps can
be created to fit different bpf progs' needs. The map enforces
BTF to allow printing the sk-local-storage during a system-wise
sk dump (e.g. "ss -ta") in the future.

The purpose of a BPF_MAP_TYPE_SK_STORAGE map is not for lookup/update/delete
a "sk-local-storage" data from a particular sk.
Think of the map as a meta-data (or "type") of a "sk-local-storage". This
particular "type" of "sk-local-storage" data can then be stored in any sk.

The main purposes of this map are mostly:
1. Define the size of a "sk-local-storage" type.
2. Provide a similar syscall userspace API as the map (e.g. lookup/update,
   map-id, map-btf...etc.)
3. Keep track of all sk's storages of this "type" and clean them up
   when the map is freed.

sk->sk_bpf_storage:
------------------
The main lookup/update/delete is done on sk->sk_bpf_storage (which
is a "struct bpf_sk_storage"). When doing a lookup,
the "map" pointer is now used as the "key" to search on the
sk_storage->list. The "map" pointer is actually serving
as the "type" of the "sk-local-storage" that is being
requested.

To allow very fast lookup, it should be as fast as looking up an
array at a stable-offset. At the same time, it is not ideal to
set a hard limit on the number of sk-local-storage "type" that the
system can have. Hence, this patch takes a cache approach.
The last search result from sk_storage->list is cached in
sk_storage->cache[] which is a stable sized array. Each
"sk-local-storage" type has a stable offset to the cache[] array.
In the future, a map's flag could be introduced to do cache
opt-out/enforcement if it became necessary.

The cache size is 16 (i.e. 16 types of "sk-local-storage").
Programs can share map. On the program side, having a few bpf_progs
running in the networking hotpath is already a lot. The bpf_prog
should have already consolidated the existing sock-key-ed map usage
to minimize the map lookup penalty. 16 has enough runway to grow.

All sk-local-storage data will be removed from sk->sk_bpf_storage
during sk destruction.

bpf_sk_storage_get() and bpf_sk_storage_delete():
------------------------------------------------
Instead of using bpf_map_(lookup|update|delete)_elem(),
the bpf prog needs to use the new helper bpf_sk_storage_get() and
bpf_sk_storage_delete(). The verifier can then enforce the
ARG_PTR_TO_SOCKET argument. The bpf_sk_storage_get() also allows to
"create" new elem if one does not exist in the sk. It is done by
the new BPF_SK_STORAGE_GET_F_CREATE flag. An optional value can also be
provided as the initial value during BPF_SK_STORAGE_GET_F_CREATE.
The BPF_MAP_TYPE_SK_STORAGE also supports bpf_spin_lock. Together,
it has eliminated the potential use cases for an equivalent
bpf_map_update_elem() API (for bpf_prog) in this patch.

Misc notes:
----------
1. map_get_next_key is not supported. From the userspace syscall
perspective, the map has the socket fd as the key while the map
can be shared by pinned-file or map-id.

Since btf is enforced, the existing "ss" could be enhanced to pretty
   print the local-storage.

Supporting a kernel defined btf with 4 tuples as the return key could
   be explored later also.

2. The sk->sk_lock cannot be acquired. Atomic operations is used instead.
e.g. cmpxchg is done on the sk->sk_bpf_storage ptr.
Please refer to the source code comments for the details in
   synchronization cases and considerations.

3. The mem is charged to the sk->sk_omem_alloc as the sk filter does.

Benchmark:
---------
Here is the benchmark data collected by turning on
the "kernel.bpf_stats_enabled" sysctl.
Two bpf progs are tested:

One bpf prog with the usual bpf hashmap (max_entries = 8192) with the
sk ptr as the key. (verifier is modified to support sk ptr as the key
That should have shortened the key lookup time.)

Another bpf prog is with the new BPF_MAP_TYPE_SK_STORAGE.

Both are storing a "u32 cnt", do a lookup on "egress_skb/cgroup" for
each egress skb and then bump the cnt. netperf is used to drive
data with 4096 connected UDP sockets.

8f2566225a flow_offload: add flow_rule and flow_match structures and use them
This patch wraps the dissector key and mask - that flower uses to
represent the matching side - around the flow_match structure.

To avoid a follow up patch that would edit the same LoCs in the drivers,
this patch also wraps this new flow match structure around the flow rule
object. This new structure will also contain the flow actions in follow
up patches.

This introduces two new interfaces:

	bool flow_rule_match_key(rule, dissector_id)

that returns true if a given matching key is set on, and:

	flow_rule_match_XYZ(rule, &match);

To fetch the matching side XYZ into the match container structure, to
retrieve the key and the mask with one single call.

604326b41a bpf, sockmap: convert to generic sk_msg interface
Add a generic sk_msg layer, and convert current sockmap and later
kTLS over to make use of it. While sk_buff handles network packet
representation from netdevice up to socket, sk_msg handles data
representation from application to socket layer.

This means that sk_msg framework spans across ULP users in the
kernel, and enables features such as introspection or filtering
of data with the help of BPF programs that operate on this data
structure.

Latter becomes in particular useful for kTLS where data encryption
is deferred into the kernel, and as such enabling the kernel to
perform L7 introspection and policy based on BPF for TLS connections
where the record is being encrypted after BPF has run and came to
a verdict. In order to get there, first step is to transform open
coding of scatter-gather list handling into a common core framework
that subsystems can use.

The code itself has been split and refactored into three bigger
pieces: i) the generic sk_msg API which deals with managing the
scatter gather ring, providing helpers for walking and mangling,
transferring application data from user space into it, and preparing
it for BPF pre/post-processing, ii) the plain sock map itself
where sockets can be attached to or detached from; these bits
are independent of i) which can now be used also without sock
map, and iii) the integration with plain TCP as one protocol
to be used for processing L7 application data (later this could
e.g. also be extended to other protocols like UDP). The semantics
are the same with the old sock map code and therefore no change
of user facing behavior or APIs. While pursuing this work it
also helped finding a number of bugs in the old sockmap code
that we've fixed already in earlier commits. The test_sockmap
kselftest suite passes through fine as well.

30c8bd5aa8 net: Introduce generic failover module
The failover module provides a generic interface for paravirtual drivers
to register a netdev and a set of ops with a failover instance. The ops
are used as event handlers that get called to handle netdev register/
unregister/link change/name change events on slave pci ethernet devices
with the same mac address as the failover netdev.

This enables paravirtual drivers to use a VF as an accelerated low latency

failing over to the paravirtual datapath when the VF is unplugged.

aecd67b607 xdp: base API for new XDP rx-queue info concept
This patch only introduce the core data structures and API functions.
All XDP enabled drivers must use the API before this info can used.

There is a need for XDP to know more about the RX-queue a given XDP
frames have arrived on. For both the XDP bpf-prog and kernel side.

Instead of extending xdp_buff each time new info is needed, the patch
creates a separate read-mostly struct xdp_rxq_info, that contains this
info. We stress this data/cache-line is for read-only info. This is
NOT for dynamic per packet info, use the data_meta for such use-cases.

The performance advantage is this info can be setup at RX-ring init
time, instead of updating N-members in xdp_buff. A possible (driver
level) micro optimization is that xdp_buff->rxq assignment could be
done once per XDP/NAPI loop. The extra pointer deref only happens for
program needing access to this info (thus, no slowdown to existing
use-cases).

b24413180f License cleanup: add SPDX GPL-2.0 license identifier to files with no license
Many source files in the tree are missing licensing information, which
makes it harder for compliance tools to determine the correct license.

By default all files without license information are under the default
license of the kernel, which is GPL version 2.

Update the files which contain no license information with the 'GPL-2.0'
SPDX license identifier. The SPDX identifier is a legally binding
shorthand, which can be used instead of the full boiler plate text.

This patch is based on work done by Thomas Gleixner and Kate Stewart and
Philippe Ombredanne.

How this work was done:

Patches were generated and checked against linux-4.14-rc6 for a subset of
the use cases:
 - file had no licensing information it it.
 - file was a */uapi/* one with no licensing information in it,
 - file was a */uapi/* one with existing licensing information,

Further patches will be generated in subsequent months to fix up cases
where non-standard license headers were used, and references to license
had to be inferred by heuristics based on keywords.

The analysis to determine which SPDX License Identifier to be applied to
a file was done in a spreadsheet of side by side results from of the
output of two independent scanners (ScanCode & Windriver) producing SPDX
tag:value files created by Philippe Ombredanne. Philippe prepared the
base worksheet, and did an initial spot review of a few 1000 files.

The 4.13 kernel was the starting point of the analysis with 60,537 files
assessed. Kate Stewart did a file by file comparison of the scanner
results in the spreadsheet to determine which SPDX license identifier(s)
to be applied to the file. She confirmed any determination that was not
immediately clear with lawyers working with the Linux Foundation.

Criteria used to select files for SPDX license identifier tagging was:
 - Files considered eligible had to be source code files.
 - Make and config files were included as candidates if they contained >5
   lines of source
 - File already had some variant of a license header in it (even if <5
   lines).

All documentation files were explicitly excluded.

The following heuristics were used to determine which SPDX license
identifiers to apply.

 - when both scanners couldn't find any license traces, file was
considered to have no license information in it, and the top level
   COPYING file license applied.

For non */uapi/* files that summary was:

   SPDX license identifier # files
   ---------------------------------------------------|-------
   GPL-2.0 11139

and resulted in the first patch in this series.

If that file was a */uapi/* path one, it was "GPL-2.0 WITH
Linux-syscall-note" otherwise it was "GPL-2.0". Results of that was:

   SPDX license identifier # files
   ---------------------------------------------------|-------
   GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note 930

and that resulted in the third patch in this series.

 - when the two scanners agreed on the detected license(s), that became
   the concluded license(s).

 - when there was disagreement between the two scanners (one detected a
license but the other didn't, or they both detected different
licenses) a manual inspection of the file occurred.

 - In most cases a manual inspection of the information in the file
resulted in a clear resolution of the license that should apply (and
which scanner probably needed to revisit its heuristics).

 - When it was not immediately clear, the license identifier was
confirmed with lawyers working with the Linux Foundation.

 - If there was any question as to the appropriate license identifier,
the file was flagged for further research and to be revisited later
   in time.

In total, over 70 hours of logged manual review was done on the
spreadsheet to determine the SPDX license identifiers to apply to the
source files by Kate, Philippe, Thomas and, in some cases, confirmation
by lawyers working with the Linux Foundation.

Kate also obtained a third independent scan of the 4.13 code base from
FOSSology, and compared selected files where the other two scanners
disagreed against that SPDX file, to see if there was new insights. The
Windriver scanner is based on an older version of FOSSology in part, so
they are related.

Thomas did random spot checks in about 500 files from the spreadsheets
for the uapi headers and agreed with SPDX license identifier in the
files he inspected. For the non-uapi files Thomas did random spot checks
in about 15000 files.

In initial set of patches against 4.14-rc6, 3 files were found to have
copy/paste license identifier errors, and have been fixed to reflect the
correct identifier.

Additionally Philippe spent 10 hours this week doing a detailed manual
inspection and review of the 12,461 patched files from the initial patch
version early this week with:
 - a full scancode scan run, collecting the matched texts, detected
   license ids and scores
 - reviewing anything where there was a license detected (about 500+
files) to ensure that the applied SPDX license was correct
 - reviewing anything where there was no detection but the patch license
was not GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note to ensure that the applied
   SPDX license was correct

This produced a worksheet with 20 files needing minor correction. This
worksheet was then exported into 3 different .csv files for the
different types of files to be modified.

These .csv files were then reviewed by Greg. Thomas wrote a script to
parse the csv files and add the proper SPDX tag to the file, in the
format that the file expected. This script was further refined by Greg
based on the output to detect more types of files automatically and to
distinguish between header and source .c files (which need different
comment types.) Finally Greg ran the script using the .csv files to
generate the patches.

04b1d4e50e net: core: Make the FIB notification chain generic
The FIB notification chain is currently soley used by IPv4 code.
However, we're going to introduce IPv6 FIB offload support, which
requires these notification as well.

As explained in commit c3852ef7f2 ("ipv4: fib: Replay events when
registering FIB notifier"), upon registration to the chain, the callee
receives a full dump of the FIB tables and rules by traversing all the
net namespaces. The integrity of the dump is ensured by a per-namespace
sequence counter that is incremented whenever a change to the tables or
rules occurs.

In order to allow more address families to use the chain, each family is
expected to register its fib_notifier_ops in its pernet init. These
operations allow the common code to read the family's sequence counter
as well as dump its tables and rules in the given net namespace.

Additionally, a 'family' parameter is added to sent notifications, so
that listeners could distinguish between the different families.

Implement the common code that allows listeners to register to the chain
and for address families to register their fib_notifier_ops. Subsequent
patches will implement these operations in IPv6.

In the future, ipmr and ip6mr will be extended to provide these
notifications as well.

3a0af8fd61 bpf: BPF for lightweight tunnel infrastructure
Registers new BPF program types which correspond to the LWT hooks:
  - BPF_PROG_TYPE_LWT_IN   => dst_input()
  - BPF_PROG_TYPE_LWT_OUT  => dst_output()
  - BPF_PROG_TYPE_LWT_XMIT => lwtunnel_xmit()

The separate program types are required to differentiate between the
capabilities each LWT hook allows:

 * Programs attached to dst_input() or dst_output() are restricted and
may only read the data of an skb. This prevent modification and
possible invalidation of already validated packet headers on receive
and the construction of illegal headers while the IP headers are
   still being assembled.

 * Programs attached to lwtunnel_xmit() are allowed to modify packet
content as well as prepending an L2 header via a newly introduced
helper bpf_skb_change_head(). This is safe as lwtunnel_xmit() is
invoked after the IP header has been assembled completely.

All BPF programs receive an skb with L3 headers attached and may return
one of the following error codes:

BPF_OK - Continue routing as per nexthop
BPF_DROP - Drop skb and return EPERM
BPF_REDIRECT - Redirect skb to device as per redirect() helper.
                (Only valid in lwtunnel_xmit() context)

The return codes are binary compatible with their TC_ACT_
relatives to ease compatibility.

911362c70d net: add dst_cache support
This patch add a generic, lockless dst cache implementation.
The need for lock is avoided updating the dst cache fields
only in per cpu scope, and requiring that the cache manipulation
functions are invoked with the local bh disabled.

The refresh_ts and reset_ts fields are used to ensure the cache
consistency in case of cuncurrent cache update (dst_cache_set*) and
reset operation (dst_cache_reset).

Consider the following scenario:

CPU1: CPU2:
<cache lookup with emtpy cache: it fails>
<get dst via uncached route lookup>
						<related configuration changes>
                                        	dst_cache_reset()
  dst_cache_set()

The dst entry set passed to dst_cache_set() should not be used
for later dst cache lookup, because it's obtained using old
configuration values.

Since the refresh_ts is updated only on dst_cache lookup, the
cached value in the above scenario will be discarded on the next
lookup.

ef456144da soreuseport: define reuseport groups
struct sock_reuseport is an optional shared structure referenced by each
socket belonging to a reuseport group. When a socket is bound to an
address/port not yet in use and the reuseport flag has been set, the
structure will be allocated and attached to the newly bound socket.
When subsequent calls to bind are made for the same address/port, the
shared structure will be updated to include the new socket and the
newly bound socket will reference the group structure.

Usually, when an incoming packet was destined for a reuseport group,
all sockets in the same group needed to be considered before a
dispatching decision was made. With this structure, an appropriate
socket can be found after looking up just one socket in the group.

This shared structure will also allow for more complicated decisions to
be made when selecting a socket (eg a BPF filter).

408eccce32 net: ptp: move PTP classifier in its own file
This commit fixes a build error reported by Fengguang, that is
triggered when CONFIG_NETWORK_PHY_TIMESTAMPING is not set:

  ERROR: "ptp_classify_raw" [drivers/net/ethernet/oki-semi/pch_gbe/pch_gbe.ko] undefined!

The fix is to introduce its own file for the PTP BPF classifier,
so that PTP_1588_CLOCK and/or NETWORK_PHY_TIMESTAMPING can select
it independently from each other. IXP4xx driver on ARM needs to
select it as well since it does not seem to select PTP_1588_CLOCK
or similar that would pull it in automatically.

This also allows for hiding all of the internals of the BPF PTP
program inside that file, and only exporting relevant API bits
to drivers.

This patch also adds a kdoc documentation of ptp_classify_raw()
API to make it clear that it can return PTP_CLASS_* defines. Also,
the BPF program has been translated into bpf_asm code, so that it
can be more easily read and altered (extensively documented in [1]).

In the kernel tree under tools/net/ we have bpf_asm and bpf_dbg
tools, so the commented program can simply be translated via
`./bpf_asm -c prog` where prog is a file that contains the
commented code. This makes it easily readable/verifiable and when
there's a need to change something, jump offsets etc do not need
to be replaced manually which can be very error prone. Instead,
a newly translated version via bpf_asm can simply replace the old
code. I have checked opcode diffs before/after and it's the very
same filter.

fe1217c4f3 net: net_cls: move cgroupfs classid handling into core
Zefan Li requested [1] to perform the following cleanup/refactoring:

- Split cgroupfs classid handling into net core to better express a
  possible more generic use.

- Disable module support for cgroupfs bits as the majority of other
cgroupfs subsystems do not have that, and seems to be not wished
from cgroup side. Zefan probably might want to follow-up for netprio
  later on.

- By this, code can be further reduced which previously took care of
functionality built when compiled as module.

cgroupfs bits are being placed under net/core/netclassid_cgroup.c, so
that we are consistent with {netclassid,netprio}_cgroup naming that is
under net/core/ as suggested by Zefan.

No change in functionality, but only code refactoring that is being
done here.

This is a value that is both arbitrary and unique to a cgroup in this subsystem,

<name:priority> where name is the name of a network interface and priority is

Furthermore, only having 24-bits of the sequence number be truly
unpredictable is a very serious limitation. So the periodic
regeneration and 8-bit counter have been removed. We compute and
use a full 32-bit sequence number.

For ipv6, DCCP was found to use a 32-bit truncated initial sequence
number (it needs 43-bits) and that is fixed here as well.

c1f19b51d1 net: support time stamping in phy devices.
This patch adds a new networking option to allow hardware time stamps
from PHY devices. When enabled, likely candidates among incoming and
outgoing network packets are offered to the PHY driver for possible
time stamping. When accepted by the PHY driver, incoming packets are
deferred for later delivery by the driver.

The patch also adds phylib driver methods for the SIOCSHWTSTAMP ioctl
and callbacks for transmit and receive time stamping. Drivers may
optionally implement these functions.

c81c2d9544 skbuff: remove skb_dma_map/unmap
The two functions skb_dma_map/unmap are unsafe to use as they cause
problems when packets are cloned and sent to multiple devices while a HW
IOMMU is enabled. Due to this it is best to remove the code so it is not
used by any other network driver maintainters.

8b41d1887d [NET]: Fix running without sysfs
When sysfs support is compiled out the kernel still keeps and maintains
the kobject tree. So it is not safe to skip our kobject reference counting or
to avoid becoming members of the kobject tree. It is safe to not add
the networking specific sysfs attributes.

This patch removes the sysfs special cases from net/core/dev.c
renames functions from netdev_sysfs_xxxx to netdev_kobject_xxxx
and always compiles in net-sysfs.c

net-sysfs.c is modified with a CONFIG_SYSFS guard around the parts
that are actually sysfs specific.

5f256becd8 [NET]: Basic network namespace infrastructure.
This is the basic infrastructure needed to support network
namespaces. This infrastructure is:
- Registration functions to support initializing per network
namespace data when a network namespaces is created or destroyed.

- struct net. The network namespace data structure.
This structure will grow as variables are made per network
namespace but this is the minimal starting point.

- Functions to grab a reference to the network namespace.
I provide both get/put functions that keep a network namespace
from being freed. And hold/release functions serve as weak references
and will warn if their count is not zero when the data structure
is freed. Useful for dealing with more complicated data structures
  like the ipv4 route cache.

- A list of all of the network namespaces so we can iterate over them.

- A slab for the network namespace data structure allowing leaks
  to be spotted.
