dae7fbf43f driver/ps3: Include <video/cmdline.h> for mode parsing
Include <video/cmdline.h> in ps3av.c to get video_get_options() and
avoid the dependency on <linux/fb.h>. The replaced function
fb_get_options() is just a tiny wrapper around video_get_opions(). No

6d247e4d26 powerpc/ps3: make system bus's remove and shutdown callbacks return void
The driver core ignores the return value of struct device_driver::remove
because there is only little that can be done. For the shutdown callback
it's ps3_system_bus_shutdown() which ignores the return value.

To simplify the quest to make struct device_driver::remove return void,
let struct ps3_system_bus_driver::remove return void, too. All users
already unconditionally return 0, this commit makes it obvious that
returning an error code is a bad idea and ensures future users behave
accordingly.

f0200c0288 ps3: Remove deprecated create_singlethread_workqueue
The workqueue "ps3av->wq" queues a single work item &ps3av->work and hence
doesn't require ordering. It is involved in waking up ps3avd to do the
video mode setting and hence it's not being used on a memory reclaim
path. Hence, it has been converted to use system_wq.

System workqueues have been able to handle high level of concurrency
for a long time now and hence it's not required to have a singlethreaded
workqueue just to gain concurrency. Unlike a dedicated per-cpu workqueue
created with create_singlethread_workqueue(), system_wq allows multiple
work items to overlap executions even on the same CPU; however, a
per-cpu workqueue doesn't have any CPU locality or global ordering
guarantee unless the target CPU is explicitly specified and thus the
increase of local concurrency shouldn't make any difference.

The work item has been flushed in ps3av_remove to ensure that
there are no pending tasks while disconnecting the driver.

ef24ba7091 powerpc: Remove all usages of NO_IRQ
NO_IRQ has been == 0 on powerpc for just over ten years (since commit
0ebfff1491 ("[POWERPC] Add new interrupt mapping core and change
platforms to use it")). It's also 0 on most other arches.

Although it's fairly harmless, every now and then it causes confusion
when a driver is built on powerpc and another arch which doesn't define
NO_IRQ. There's at least 6 definitions of NO_IRQ in drivers/, at least
some of which are to work around that problem.

So we'd like to remove it. This is fairly trivial in the arch code, we
just convert:

    if (irq == NO_IRQ)	to	if (!irq)
    if (irq != NO_IRQ)	to	if (irq)
    irq = NO_IRQ;	to	irq = 0;
    return NO_IRQ;	to	return 0;

And a few other odd cases as well.

At least for now we keep the #define NO_IRQ, because there is driver
code that uses NO_IRQ and the fixes to remove those will go via other
trees.

Note we also change some occurrences in PPC sound drivers, drivers/ps3,
and drivers/macintosh.

4a8bb7f548 ps3-vuart: don't use PREPARE_WORK
PREPARE_[DELAYED_]WORK() are being phased out. They have few users
and a nasty surprise in terms of reentrancy guarantee as workqueue
considers work items to be different if they don't have the same work
function.

ps3_vuart wasn't overriding the work item with multiple work functions
but was using NULL for INIT_WORK() and then single PREPARE_WORK() to
set the work function. We can simply invoke INIT_WORK() with the work
function and remove the PREPARE_WORK() usage.

It would probably be best to route this with other related updates
through the workqueue tree.

5a0e3ad6af include cleanup: Update gfp.h and slab.h includes to prepare for breaking implicit slab.h inclusion from percpu.h
percpu.h is included by sched.h and module.h and thus ends up being
included when building most .c files. percpu.h includes slab.h which
in turn includes gfp.h making everything defined by the two files
universally available and complicating inclusion dependencies.

percpu.h -> slab.h dependency is about to be removed. Prepare for
this change by updating users of gfp and slab facilities include those
headers directly instead of assuming availability. As this conversion
needs to touch large number of source files, the following script is
used as the basis of conversion.

  http://userweb.kernel.org/~tj/misc/slabh-sweep.py

The script does the followings.

* Scan files for gfp and slab usages and update includes such that
  only the necessary includes are there. ie. if only gfp is used,
  gfp.h, if slab is used, slab.h.

* When the script inserts a new include, it looks at the include
  blocks and try to put the new include such that its order conforms
  to its surrounding. It's put in the include block which contains
  core kernel includes, in the same order that the rest are ordered -
  alphabetical, Christmas tree, rev-Xmas-tree or at the end if there
  doesn't seem to be any matching order.

* If the script can't find a place to put a new include (mostly
  because the file doesn't have fitting include block), it prints out
  an error message indicating which .h file needs to be added to the
  file.

The conversion was done in the following steps.

1. The initial automatic conversion of all .c files updated slightly
   over 4000 files, deleting around 700 includes and adding ~480 gfp.h
   and ~3000 slab.h inclusions. The script emitted errors for ~400
   files.

2. Each error was manually checked. Some didn't need the inclusion,
   some needed manual addition while adding it to implementation .h or
   embedding .c file was more appropriate for others. This step added
   inclusions to around 150 files.

3. The script was run again and the output was compared to the edits
   from #2 to make sure no file was left behind.

4. Several build tests were done and a couple of problems were fixed.
   e.g. lib/decompress_*.c used malloc/free() wrappers around slab
   APIs requiring slab.h to be added manually.

5. The script was run on all .h files but without automatically
   editing them as sprinkling gfp.h and slab.h inclusions around .h
   files could easily lead to inclusion dependency hell. Most gfp.h
   inclusion directives were ignored as stuff from gfp.h was usually
   wildly available and often used in preprocessor macros. Each
   slab.h inclusion directive was examined and added manually as
   necessary.

6. percpu.h was updated not to include slab.h.

7. Build test were done on the following configurations and failures
   were fixed. CONFIG_GCOV_KERNEL was turned off for all tests (as my
   distributed build env didn't work with gcov compiles) and a few
   more options had to be turned off depending on archs to make things
   build (like ipr on powerpc/64 which failed due to missing writeq).

   * x86 and x86_64 UP and SMP allmodconfig and a custom test config.
   * powerpc and powerpc64 SMP allmodconfig
   * sparc and sparc64 SMP allmodconfig
   * ia64 SMP allmodconfig
   * s390 SMP allmodconfig
   * alpha SMP allmodconfig
   * um on x86_64 SMP allmodconfig

8. percpu.h modifications were reverted so that it could be applied as
   a separate patch and serve as bisection point.

Given the fact that I had only a couple of failures from tests on step
6, I'm fairly confident about the coverage of this conversion patch.
If there is a breakage, it's likely to be something in one of the arch
headers which should be easily discoverable easily on most builds of
the specific arch.

bc00351edd powerpc/ps3: Workaround for flash memory I/O error
A workaround for flash memory I/O errors when the PS3 internal
hard disk has not been formatted for OtherOS use.

This error condition mainly effects 'Live CD' users who have not
formatted the PS3's internal hard disk for OtherOS.

Fixes errors similar to these when using the ps3-flash-util
or ps3-boot-game-os programs:

  ps3flash read failed 0x2050000
  os_area_header_read: read error: os_area_header: Input/output error
  main:627: os_area_read_hp error.
  ERROR: can't change boot flag

b17b3df161 powerpc/ps3: The lv1_ routines have u64 parameters
We just fix up the reference parameters as the others are dealt with by
arithmetic promotion rules and don't cause warnings.

This removes warnings like this:

arch/powerpc/platforms/ps3/interrupt.c:327: warning: passing argument 1 of 'lv1_construct_event_receive_port' from incompatible pointer type

Also, these:

fce4d58353 powerpc/ps3: Fix compile error in ps3-lpm.c
Compiling with CONFIG_SMP = n and CONFIG_PS3_LPM != n gives this error:

drivers/ps3/ps3-lpm.c:838: error: implicit declaration of function 'get_hard_smp_processor_id'

This fixes it. We have to include <asm/smp.h> rather than
<linux/smp.h> because the UP definition of get_hard_smp_processor_id()
is in <asm/smp.h>, and <linux/smp.h> only includes <asm/smp.h> if
CONFIG_SMP = y.
