This patch makes driver to use uV/us as units of ramp_delay. It makes driver
in compliance with regulator framework and make ramp rate precise.
This patch also sets default ramp rate in regulator descriptor which can be
used in case if case ramp rate is not set in regulator constraints.

These changes from 30 individual branches for the most part update device
tree files, but there are also a few source code changes that have crept
in this time, usually in order to atomically move over a driver from
using hardcoded data to DT probing.
A number of platforms change their DT files to use the C preprocessor,
which is causing a bit of churn, but that is hopefully only this once.
There are a few conflicts with the other branches unfortunately:
* in exynos5440.dtsi and kirkwood-6281.dtsi, device nodes are added
from multiple branches. Need to be careful to have the right
set of closing braces as git gets this one wrong.
* In kirkwood.dtsi, one 'ranges' line got split into two lines, while
another line got added. Order of the lines does not matter.
* in sama5d3.dtsi, some cleanup was merged the wrong way, causing
a bogus conflict. We want the 'dmas' and 'dma-names' properties
to get added here.
* Two lines got removed independently in arch/arm/mach-mxs/mach-mxs.c
* Contents get added independently in arch/arm/mach-omap2/cclock33xx_data.c

The implementation in of_regulator_match() already ensures match->init_data is
not NULL for all matched cases if the return value of of_regulator_match() > 0.
Thus remove NULL test for rmatch[i].init_data.
This patch also fixes the condition for loop iteration.
The for loop should iterate "matched" times rather than ARRAY_SIZE(regulators)
because we only allocate "matched" number of entries for rdata.
Though in most cases, "matched" == ARRAY_SIZE(regulators).

This patch modifies the platform data of max8998 to use arrays for
specifying predefined voltages of buck1 and buck2 instead of separate
field for each voltage.
This allows to simplify the code a bit and will help in adding support
for Device Tree, which will be introduced in further patch.

This patch adds primitive DT support to the max8973 regulator driver. None
of the configuration parameters, supported in the platform data are yet
available in DT, therefore no configuration is performed if booting with
no platform data. This means, that DT instantiation can only be used on
boards, where no run-time configuration of the chip is required. In such
cases the driver can be used to scale its output voltage. In the future
support for configuration parameters should be added.

Currently the max8973 regulator driver uses a single static struct of
regulator operations for all chip instances, but can overwrite some of its
members depending on configuration. This will affect all other MAX8973
instances on the system. This patch fixes this bug by allocating a separate
copy of the struct for each chip instance.

The TWL6025 was never released beyond sample form and was replaced by
the PhoenixLite range of chips - TWL6032. Change the references to
reference the TWL6032 class and name the registers to twl6032 in line with
an actual released chip name to avoid confusion.
Currently there are no users of TWL6025 in the code.

On some platforms the AUX[1|2|3] regulators are supplied voltage by
a separate regulator. For example on Snowball these are provided by
the EXT3. If we list them here, we can supply voltage to them by
simply listing them in as a consumer of EXT3 in the Snowball case.

Some platforms don't support the AB8500 external regulators, so instead
of having a list of is_<platform>() calls prior to calling
ab8500_ext_regulator_init() from ab8500_regulator_probe(), we can only
register as a platform device on platforms which require them. It means
we also have more control over them when booting with Device Tree.

When registering regulators which have a single voltage through Device
Tree, the framework insists that the specified voltage is actually set.
Well in order to do that we need to provide this call-back, where we
check that the value is sane and return without error. Not that the
selector isn't populated, but in our case list_voltage doesn't actually
use it, so we're good.

This patch changes the order in which the AB8500 regulator drivers are
registered and subsequently probed. It saves a lot of -EPROBE_DEFEER
nonsense and bootlog noise, as some AB8500 core regulators depend on
the external ones for supply voltage.

Add regulator_get_linear_step(), which returns the voltage step size
between VSEL values for linear regulators. This is intended for use
by regulator consumers which build their own voltage-to-VSEL tables.

regulator_enable_regmap() uses enable_reg to enable the regulator.
But enable_reg for smps10 points to SMPS10_STATUS which is a
read-only register. Fixed the same by having enable_reg
set to SMPS10_CTRL.

This patch enables the DT structure of the LP8720 and LP8725 device.
The LP872x platform data is generated when the device tree is configured.
Even if the platform data is NULL, it is no issue at all because the driver is
configured with the default mode.

All the drivers that need delay for the regulator voltage output voltage to
stabilize after being enabled or after being set to a new value has been
converted to implement enable_time and set_voltage_time_sel callbacks.
Then regulator core will take care of the necessary delay.
This patch removes the unneeded include of linux/delay.h in regulator drivers.

Adaptive Body Biasing (ABB) modulates transistor bias voltages
dynamically in order to optimize switching speed versus leakage.
Texas Instruments' SmartReflex 2 technology provides support for this
power management technique with Forward Body Biasing (FBB) and Reverse
Body Biasing (RBB). These modulate the body voltage of transistor
cells or blocks dynamically to gain performance and reduce leakage.
TI's SmartReflex white paper[1] has further information for usage in
conjunction with other power management techniques.
The application of FBB/RBB technique is determined for each unique
device in some process nodes, whereas, they are mandated on other
process nodes.
In a nutshell, ABB technique is implemented on TI SoC as an on-chip
LDO which has ABB module controlling the bias voltage. However, the
voltage is unique per device. These vary per SoC family and the manner
in which these techniques are used may vary depending on the Operating
Performance Point (OPP) voltage targeted. For example:
OMAP3630/OMAP4430: certain OPPs mandate usage of FBB independent of
devices.
OMAP4460/OMAP4470: certain OPPs mandate usage of FBB, while others may
optionally use FBB or optimization with RBB.
OMAP5: ALL OPPs may optionally use ABB, and ABB biasing voltage is
influenced by vset fused in s/w and requiring s/w override of
default values.
Further, two generations of ABB module are used in various TI SoCs.
They have remained mostly register field compatible, however the
register offset had switched between versions.
We introduce ABB LDO support in the form of a regulator which is
controlled by voltages denoting the desired Operating Performance
Point which is targeted. However, since ABB transition is part of OPP
change sequence, the sequencing required to ensure sane operation
w.r.t OPP change is left to the controlling driver (example: cpufreq
SoC driver) using standard regulator operations.
The driver supports all ABB modes and ability to override ABB LDO vset
control efuse based ABB mode detection etc.
Current implementation is heavily influenced by the original patch
series [2][3] from Mike Turquette. However, the current implementation
supports only device tree based information.

GENERIC_GPIO now synonymous with GPIOLIB. There are no longer any valid
cases for enableing GENERIC_GPIO without GPIOLIB, even though it is
possible to do so which has been causing confusion and breakage. This
branch does the work to completely eliminate GENERIC_GPIO.
However, it is not trivial to just create a branch to remove it. Over
the course of the v3.9 cycle more code referencing GENERIC_GPIO has been
added to linux-next that conflicts with this branch. The following must
be done to resolve the conflicts when merging this branch into mainline:
* "git grep CONFIG_GENERIC_GPIO" should return 0 hits. Matches should be
replaced with CONFIG_GPIOLIB
* "git grep '\bGENERIC_GPIO\b'" should return 1 hit in the Chinese
documentation.
* Selectors of GENERIC_GPIO should be turned into selectors of GPIOLIB
* definitions of the option in architecture Kconfig code should be deleted.
Stephen has 3 merge fixup patches[1] that do the above. They are currently
applicable on mainline as of May 2nd.

It is necessary to clear MC13892_SWITCHERS0_SWxHI bit when set voltage to the
voltage range from 1100000 to 1375000. Leaving MC13892_SWITCHERS0_SWxHI bit
untouched may result in wrong voltage setting.
For example, currently switch voltage from 1400000 to 1300000 will set the
voltage to 1800000 because the HI bit is still set.

Ensure to unregister all regulators before return error in probe().
The regulator register order depends on the regulator ID pass to
ab3100_regulator_register() function. Thus we need to scan ab3100_regulator_desc
and find the index of successfully registered regulators, or alternatively just
call ab3100_regulators_remove() to unregister all registered regulators.
Since current code uses a static ab3100_regulators table, explicitly set
reg->rdev = NULL after regulator_unregister() call to ensure calling
ab3100_regulators_remove() in the unwind path always work.
Also move ab3100_regulators_remove() to avoid forward declaration.

This implements device tree support for the AB3100 regulators
driver. The initial settings are moved out of platform data
and into the driver for the device tree case, as it appears
that there is no way to supply this as AUXDATA for an I2C
device. The style and bindings are heavily inspired by
Lee Jones' style for AB8500.

This refactors the AB3100 regulator probe to use regulator IDs
and pass this to a separate registration function. This works
much smoother when migrating to device tree, as we can use a
match table with this regulator ID encoded in the .driver_data.

Currently we have a special code in tps80031_ldo_set_voltage_sel() to handle
LDO2 track mode for TPS80031 or TPS80032-ES1.0. The purpose is to address below
issues:
Issue description:
- LDO2 traking mode is enabled
- LDO2 tracks SMPS2 voltage.
- LDO2 automatically switch-off when LDO2_CFG_VOLTAGE is changed to some discrete values (non exhaustive list):
00011001, 00011010, 00011011, 00011100, .
- LDO2 switch-on again when LDO2_CFG_VOLTAGE is changed to other values (non exhaustive list):
00011000, 00010111, .
LDOs have reserved codes. For these codes, LDO is switch-off.
In tracking, LDO2 ref comes from SMPS2.
However LDO2 enable is still gated by LDO2 VSEL decoding.
As a result, in tracking mode LDO2 will be disabled for following code (SMPS VSEL format):
000000 & 100000 (MSB not decoded)
011001 & 111001 (MSB not decoded)
011010 & 111010 (MSB not decoded)
011100 & 111100 (MSB not decoded)
011101 & 111101 (MSB not decoded)
011110 & 111110 (MSB not decoded)
However, current code has below bugs:
1. It uses regulator_list_voltage_linear, so list_voltage() still shows above
invalid selectors have supported voltage.
2. Current code may return -EINVAL in tps80031_ldo_set_voltage_sel() for
supported voltage. This is because when we use regulator_list_voltage_linear
as list_voltage callback, regulator core will default use
regulator_map_voltage_linear(). regulator_map_voltage_linear() has an
assumption that the voltages are linear which is not true for this case.
For example,
when request voltage range is: min_uV=950000 uV && max_uV=1200000 uV
regulator_map_voltage_linear() returns the selector is 29 (0x1D),
set_voltage_sel() returns -EINVAL.
(The selector is in invalid range, 0x19 ~ 0x1f).
In above case, map_voltage() should find the lowest valid voltage within
specific range (selector = 0x20) and set_voltage_sel() should successfully
set the voltage to 987500 uV.
This patch fixes these issues by:
1. Add checking valid setting for LDO2 track mode of TPS80031 or TPS80032-ES1.0
in list_voltage. So it returns -EINVAL for invalid selectors.
2. Implement tps80031_ldo_map_voltage, use regulator_map_voltage_iterate()
to find the lowest voltage within specific range for TPS80031 or
TPS80032-ES1.0. This is required when the voltage map is no longer linear.

SMPS3 and SMPS7 do not have tstep_addr setting, so current code actually
writes 0 to smps12_ctl (offset is 0) register when set_ramp_delay callback
is called for SMPS3 and SMPS7.

When SMPS45 is set to off and LDO8 tracking is enabled, the output voltage can
be set from 0.45 to 1.65 V. Thus set min_uV to be 450000.

The Palma device like TPS65913 have the mode mask which is also
used for enable/disable the rails. The mode bits are defined as
00: OFF
01: AUTO
10: ECO
11: Forced PWM
and modes are set accordingly as
REGULATOR_MODE_NORMAL: AUTO
REGULATOR_MODE_IDLE: ECO
REGULATOR_MODE_FAST: PWM
Two issue observed:
1. If client calls following sequence:
regulator_enable(),
regulator_set_mode(FAST),
regulator_disable()
and again the regulator_enable() then the mode is reset
to NORMAL inplace of keeping the mode as FAST.
Fixing this by storing the current mode configured by client
and restoring modes when enable() is called after disable().
2. In following sequence, the regulator get enabled:
regulator_disable()
regulator_set_mode(FAST),
Fixing this by updating new mode in register only if it is
enabled.

A lot of regulator hardware has ascendant voltage list.
This patch adds regulator_map_voltage_ascend() and export it.
Drivers that have ascendant voltage list can use this as their map_voltage()
operation, this is more efficient than default regulator_map_voltage_iterate()
function.

When setting voltage for AB8540_LDO_AUX3, current code only updates one of
info->voltage_reg and info->expand_register registers which is wrong.
To ensure we set to correct voltage, it always needs to clear or set
expand_register.voltage_mask bit of expand_register.
The function of the expand register bit is the following (from the user manual):
0: VAUX3 output voltage is determined by Vaux3Sel bit settings in register
VldoCVaux3Sel
1: VAUX3 output voltage is set to 3.05V regardless of Vaux3Sel settings in
register VldoCVaux3Sel (VldoCVaux3Sel is the register at 0x0421)
So when going to 3.05V, set the expand register bit.
When leaving 3.05V for another voltage, set the target voltage before clearing
the expand register bit.

Currently, set invalid mode setting for shared mode regulators may change
sm->lp_mode_req flag. This patch ensures we don't set lp_mode_req flag to wrong
status if set_mode() fails.
This patch includes some clean up, and these changes makes this patch looks like
code refactor. The clean up is mainly to avoid adding ugly code to handle
failure paths.

LDO8 of Palma device like tps65913 support the tracking mode
on which LDO8 track the SMPS45 voltage when SMPS45 is ON
and use the LDO8.VOLTAGE_SEL register when SMPS45 is OFF.
On track mode, the steps of voltage change for LDO8 is 25mV
where in non-tracking mode it is 50mV. Set the steps accordingly.
Number of voltage count is still same for both the cases.

Palmas device have control outputs like REGEN1, REGEN2, REGEN3,
SYSEN1 and SYSEN2. These control outputs can be used for controlling
external voltage switches to enabled/disable voltage outputs.
Add support of these control outputs through regulator framework.

Clear the sleep/warm reset bits when it is not selected through
regulator platform data. This will make sure that configuration
is inline with the platform data regardless of boot/POR

Attempted to differentiate between regulator_get() with an actual
DT binding for the supply and when there is none to avoid unnecessary
deferal.
However, ret value supplied by regulator_dev_lookup() is being

The same table can be used for multiple instance of pdev, so we don't need to
allocate memory for of_regulator_match table per pdev.
match->driver_data points to the corresponding entry of as3711_reg_info,
however it is not used in current code, thus this patch does not set
driver_data in the of_regulator_match table.

The implementation of ab8500_ext_fixed_get_voltage is identical to
ab8500_ext_list_voltage. We can avoid the duplicate implementation by just
remove get_voltage. For fixed regulator, regulator core will call
list_voltage(rdev, 0) to get voltage if both get_voltage get_voltage_sel are
not implemented.

The original patch[1] is to set info->desc.ops = &ab9540_ext_regulator_ops.

Thus we can complete remove the unnecessary checking for ab9540 and ab8540.

Almost all systems use the regulators on the WM8994 series devices to
provide DCVDD and AVDD1 so if no init data is supplied then set up the
supplies for the user. This simplifies integration of the device into
systems, especially when device tree is supported.

Regulator drivers may specify regulator_desc->supply_name which
regulator_register() will use to find the supply node for a regulator.
If no supply was specified in the device tree or the supply has yet
to be registered regulator_register() will fail, deferring the probe
of the regulator. In the case where no supply node was specified in the
device tree, there is no supply and it is pointless to try and find one
later, so go ahead and add the regulator without the supply.

For fixed voltage, we can just set min_uV and use regulator_list_voltage_linear
for list_voltage callback. Regulator core will call list_voltage(rdev, 0) if
both get_voltage get_voltage_sel are not implemented. Thus we can also remove
lp8788_ldo_fixed_get_voltage() function.

The ab*_match[] arrays should be moved out of the way, instead of
bunched in the middle of the initialisation functions. This patch
moves all initialisation code which currently resides above these
arrays down to be grouped with the others. This makes the whole
thing slightly easier to read.

The regulator framework offers a generic regulator_list_voltage_table()
function which can directly look-up a regulator's voltage capabilities
using a table provided through the desc structure. This patch ensures
that information is available.

The regulator framework now has provisions to read a regulator's
start-up time via the 'enable_time' attribute. So let's remove all
'enable_time'/'delay' duplication and just stick with 'enable_time'
from now on.

Allow the regulator framework to directly access the time it takes
any given regulator to settle. This saves time and code because
without it we would have to implement a dedication function to read
the value from elsewhere.

To obtain full AB9540 regulator support, the AB8500 regulator driver
first needs to know its register layout and their initialisation values
for each. That information is provided via a couple of large data
structures which we provide here.

More platforms are to be supported by the AB8500 regulator driver,
so in this patch we prepare for their arrival. Instead of using
the AB8500 settings blindly, we provide an infrastructure where
adding a new platform is as easy as providing a couple of platform
specific data structures.

Support for HW request is added in the external regulator
driver. A flag in the board configuration can be set to
let HW control the regulator when there is no SW request.
This means that the regulator will be put in high power
mode when there is a SW request and in HW-request mode
otherwise.

The ABx500 is capable of controlling three external regulator supplies.
Most commonly on and off are supported, but if an external regulator
chipset or power supply supports high-power and low-power mode settings,
we can control those too.

Clean out initialisation that is handled by SoC. Regulator
settings for Vpll (partly), Vsmps1, Vsmps2, Vsmps3 (partly),
Vrf1, Varm, Vape, Vbb, Vmod are cleaned out. They should not
be touched by the kernel.
We also update many of the initialisation values to be more
in-line with the current development efforts of ST-Ericsson
internal engineers.

The data sheet does not specify time delay for voltage selection,
thus remove set_voltage_time_sel and delay setting.
Note, currently set_voltage_time_sel callback returns 0 due to missing

Both ab8500_regulator_mode_ops and ab8500_regulator_ops do not have volt_table
setting, thus we can not use regulator_list_voltage_table for them.
However, they have min_uV setting with n_voltages = 1, so use
regulator_list_voltage_linear instead.
Also remove setting set_voltage_time_sel for ab8500_regulator_mode_ops.
It is used only for fixed voltage, so it does not need to implement
set_voltage_time_sel.

The ab8500 MFD should not have knowledge about regulator-
specific platform data like number of regulators and
regulator registers. As the regulator platform data is
about to grow with external regulators, this information
is moved to a new structure provided by the regulator
driver.

There is already before a register mask in the regulator driver
to allow some bits of a register to be initialized. The register
value is defined in the board configuration. This patch puts a
mask in the board configuration to specify which bits should
actually be altered. The purpose with this patch is to avoid
future mistakes when updating the allowed bits in the regulator
driver.

With this change, Vtvout, Vintcore12, Vaux1, 2 and 3 regulators
support DRMS (Dynamic Regulator Mode Switching) which will
dynamically handle requests for max current consumption from
several consumers and select a suitable regulator mode.

Regulator core driver provides enable GPIO control for enabling/disabling a
regulator. Now, enable GPIO is shared among regulators.
Use this internal working, so unnecessary code are removed.
GPIO enable pin configurations are added in digital LDO and analog LDO drivers.

To support shared enable GPIO pin, replace GPIO code with new static functions
Reference count: 'enable_count'
Balance the reference count of each GPIO and actual pin control.
The count is incremented with enabling GPIO.
On the other hand, it is decremented on disabling GPIO.
Actual GPIO pin is enabled at the initial use.(enable_count = 0)
The pin is disabled if it is not used(shared) any more. (enable_count <=1)
Regardless of the enable count, update GPIO state of the regulator.

A Regulator can be enabled by external GPIO pin.
This is configurable in the regulator_config.
At this moment, the GPIO can be owned by only one regulator device.
In some devices, multiple regulators are enabled by shared one GPIO pin.
This patch extends this limitation, enabling shared enable GPIO of regulators.
New list for enable GPIO: 'regulator_ena_gpio_list'
This manages enable GPIO list.
New structure for supporting shared enable GPIO: 'regulator_enable_gpio'
The enable count is used for balancing GPIO control count.
This count is incremented when GPIO is enabled.
On the other hand, it's decremented when GPIO is disabled.
Reference count: 'request_count'
The reference count, 'request_count' is incremented/decremented on
requesting/freeing the GPIO. This count makes sure only free the GPIO
when it has no users.
How it works
If the GPIO is already used, skip requesting new GPIO usage.
The GPIO is new one, request GPIO function and add it to the list of
enable GPIO.
This list is used for balancing enable GPIO count and pin control.
Updating a GPIO and invert code moved
'ena_gpio' and 'ena_gpio_invert' of the regulator_config were moved to
new function, regulator_ena_gpio_request().
Use regulator_enable_pin structure rather than regulator_dev.

Even if bus is not hot-pluggable, the devices can be unbound from the
driver via sysfs, so we should not be using __exit annotations on
remove() methods. The only exception is drivers registered with
platform_driver_probe() which specifically disables sysfs bind/unbind
attributes.

commit dd8004af: 'regulator: core: Log when a device causes a voltage
constraint fail', tried to print out some information about the
check consumer min/max uV fixup, however, it uses a garbage pointer
left over from list_for_each_entry leading to boot messages in the
form:

Because it references regulator->dev, it could potentially read memory from
anywhere causing a panic.
This patch instead uses rdev and the updated min/max uV values.

For cpufreq example, it takes 13 steps (25 mV for one step) to increase
vddcore from 0.95 V to 1.275 V, and the time of 64 clock cycles at
24 MHz for one step is ~2.67 uS, so the total delay time would be
~34.71 uS. But the current calculation in the driver gives 39 uS.
Change the formula to have the addition of 1 be the last step, so that
we can get a more precise delay time. For example above, the new
formula will give 35 uS.

The dev parameter is the device requesting the data.
In this case it should be &pdev->dev rather than pdev->dev.parent.
The dev parameter is used to call devm_kzalloc in of_get_regulator_init_data(),
which means this fixes a memory leak because the memory is allocated every time

some of anatop's regulators(cpu, vddpu and vddsoc) have
register settings about LDO's step time, which will impact
the LDO ramp up speed, need to use set_voltage_time_sel
interface to add necessary delay everytime LDOs' voltage
is increased.

of_find_node_by_name() returns a node pointer with refcount incremented, use
of_node_put() on it when done.
of_find_node_by_name() will call of_node_put() against from parameter,
thus we also need to call of_node_get(from) before calling
of_find_node_by_name().

The dev parameter is the device requesting the data.
In this case it should be &pdev->dev rather than pdev->dev.parent.
The dev parameter is used to call devm_kzalloc in of_get_regulator_init_data(),
which means this fixes a memory leak because the memory is allocated every time
probe() is called, thus it should be freed when this driver is unloaded.

of_regulator_match() saves some dynamcially allocated state into the
match table that's passed to it. By implementation and not contract, for
each match table entry, if non-NULL state is already present,
of_regulator_match() will not overwrite it. of_regulator_match() is
typically called each time a regulator is probe()d. This means it is
called with the same match table over and over again if a regulator
triggers deferred probe. This results in stale, kfree()d data being left
in the match table from probe to probe, which causes a variety of crashes
or use of invalid data.
Explicitly free all output state from of_regulator_match() before
generating new results in order to avoid this.

Imagine a situation where a device tree has a few regulators in an
appropriate node:

In the above example, the node name "vfake" is an attempt to match a
regulator name inside the driver which just so happens to not exist. The
node name "vtypo" represents an accidental typographical error in a
regulator name which may have been introduced to a device tree.
In these cases, the number of regulators the mc13892 driver thinks it has
does not match the number of regulators it parsed and registered. Since
it will go over this array based on this number, it will actually
re-register regulator "0" (which happens to be SW1) over and over
again until it reaches the number, resulting in messages on the kernel
log such as these:
SW1: at 1100 mV
VVIDEO: at 2775mV
:
SW1: at 1100 mV
SW1: at 1100 mV
.. up to that number of "mismatched" regulators. Nobody using DT can/will
consume these regulators, so it should not be possible for it to cause any
real regulator problems or driver breakages, but it is an easy thing to
miss in a kernel log and is an immediate indication of a problem with the
device tree authoring.
This patch effectively sanity checks the number of counted children of
the regulators node vs. the number that actually matched driver names,
and sets the appropriate num_regulators value. It also gives a little
warning for device tree authors that they MAY have screwed something up,
such that this patch does not hide the device tree authoring problem.

MC13892 PMIC supports a "HI" bit for 3 of it's 4 buck switcher outputs,
which enables a higher set of voltage ranges.
Despite a comment in the code ('sw regulators need special care due to the
"hi" bit'), it actually does not take special care since it does not modify
it's use of the selector table index when this bit is set, giving us very
odd behavior when setting a high voltage on supported switchers or listing
current voltages. Net effect is in best case the kernel and sysfs report
lower voltages than are actually set in hardware (1300mV instead of 1800mV
for example) and in the worst case setting a voltage (e.g. 1800mV) will cause
an undervoltage condition (e.g. 1300mV).
Correct the behavior, taking into account SW1 doesn't support the HI bit,
and as such we need to ignore it.
While we are modifying these functions, fix and optimize the following;
* set_voltage_sel callback was using .reg instead of .vsel_reg - since
they were set to the same value it actually didn't break anything but
it would be semantically incorrect to use .reg in this case. We now use
.vsel_reg and be consistent.
* vsel_shift is always 0 for every SWx regulator, and constantly shifting
and masking off the bottom few bits is time consuming and makes the
code very hard to read - optimize this out.
* get_voltage_sel uses the variable "val" and set_voltage_sel uses the
variable "selector" (and reg_value). Introduce the variable "selector"
to get_voltage_sel such that it makes more sense and allow some leaner
code in light of the modifications in this patch. Add better exposure
to the debug print so the register value AND the selector are printed as
this will adequately show the HI bit in the register.
* correct a comment in probe which is doing a version check. Magic
values are awful but for once instance, a comment does just as
good a job as something symbolic.
