Lucas Stach e0fed5133c ARM: imx: add CPU clock type
This implements a virtual clock used to abstract away
all the steps needed in order to change the ARM clock,
so we don't have to push all this clock handling into
the cpufreq driver.

While it will be used for i.MX53 at first it is generic
enough to be used on i.MX6 later on.

Shawn Guo 19d863446a ARM: imx: add an exclusive gate clock type
There are a couple of gate clocks are mutually exclusive on i.MX6, i.e.
LVDSCLK1_IBEN and LVDSCLK1_OBEN. They cannot be enabled simultaneously.
This patches adds an exclusive gate clock type specifically for such
case. The clock driver will need to call imx_clk_gate_exclusive() to
register a gate clock with parameter exclusive_mask indicating the mask
of gate bits which are mutually exclusive to this gate clock.

Right now, it only handles the exclusive gate clocks which are defined
in a single hardware register, which is the case we're running into
today. But it can be extended to handle exclusive gate clocks defined
in different registers later if needed.

Arnd Bergmann 060d517de8 ARM: imx6: fix SMP compilation again
My earlier patch 1fc593feaf ("ARM: imx: build i.MX6 functions
only when needed") fixed a problem with building an i.MX5 kernel,
but now the problem has returned for the case where we allow
ARMv6K SMP builds in multiplatform. With CONFIG_CPU_V7 disabled,
but i.MX3 and SMP enabled, we get this build error:

arch/arm/mach-imx/built-in.o: In function `v7_secondary_startup':

Anson Huang df595746fa ARM: imx: add suspend in ocram support for i.mx6q
When system enter suspend, we can set the DDR IO to
high-Z state to save DDR IOs' power consumption, this
operation can save many power(from ~26mA@1.5V to ~15mA@1.5V,
measured on i.MX6Q SabreSD board, R25) of DDR IOs. To
achieve that, we need to copy the suspend code to ocram
and run the low level hardware related code(set DDR IOs
to high-Z state) in ocram.

If there is no ocram space available, then system will
still do suspend in external DDR, hence no DDR IOs will
be set to high-Z.

The OCRAM usage layout is as below,

ocram suspend region(4K currently):

Greg Ungerer 374daac46f ARM: imx: add support code for IMX50 based machines

The IMX50 is quite similar to the Freescale IMX53, and contains many of the

(Notable exceptions are that the IMX50 contains no CAN bus hardware, less
GPIO, no VPU, it does contain an Electrophoretic display controller though).

Linus Torvalds fcba914542 ARM: arm-soc platform updates for 3.10, part 3
This is the third and smallest of the SoC specific updates.
 Changes include:

 * Smaller imx changes
 * LPAE support for mvebu
 * Moving the orion5x, kirkwood, dove and mvebu platforms
   to a common "mbus" driver for their internal devices.

 It would be good to get feedback on the location of the "mbus"
 driver. Since this is used on multiple platforms may potentially
 get shared with other architectures (powerpc and arm64), it
 was moved to drivers/bus/. We expect other similar drivers to
 get moved to the same place in order to avoid creating more
 top-level directories under drivers/ or cluttering up the
 messy drivers/misc/ even more.

 "This is the third and smallest of the SoC specific updates. Changes
  include:

   - SMP support for the Xilinx zynq platform
   - Smaller imx changes
   - LPAE support for mvebu
   - Moving the orion5x, kirkwood, dove and mvebu platforms to a common
     "mbus" driver for their internal devices.

  It would be good to get feedback on the location of the "mbus" driver.
  Since this is used on multiple platforms may potentially get shared
  with other architectures (powerpc and arm64), it was moved to
  drivers/bus/. We expect other similar drivers to get moved to the
  same place in order to avoid creating more top-level directories under
  drivers/ or cluttering up the messy drivers/misc/ even more."

  * imx6 : is in cpuidle-imx6q.c, the init function is in cpuidle.c

Arnd Bergmann 1fc593feaf ARM: imx: build i.MX6 functions only when needed
The head-v7.S contains a call to the generic cpu_suspend function,
which is only available when selected by the i.MX6 code. As
pointed out by Shawn Guo, i.MX5 does not actually use any
functions defined in head-v7.S. It is also needed only for
the i.MX6 power management code and for the SMP code, so
we can restrict building this file to situations in which
at least one of those two is present.

Finally, other platforms with a similar file call it headsmp.S,
so we can rename it to the same for consistency.

Without this patch, building imx5 standalone results in:

Linus Torvalds 2795343705 arm-soc: clock driver changes
The new clock subsystem was merged in linux-3.4 without any users, this
 now moves the first three platforms over to it: imx, mxs and spear.

 The series also contains the changes for the clock subsystem itself,
 since Mike preferred to have it together with the platforms that require
 these changes, in order to avoid interdependencies and conflicts.

Fabio Estevam 3ac804e311 ARM: mx3: Let mx31 and mx35 enter in LPM mode in WFI
The LPM field of register CCMR is used to select the mode that the processor will run
when it goes to WFI.

When mx31 enters in WFI mode the LPM field is at its reset value of 0,
which configures the mx31 to enter in "wait mode".

On mx35, the LPM field on mx35 is also at 0 after reset, which corresponds
to "run mode" instead of "wait mode".

Instead of relying on the reset value of LPM to set the low power mode for
WFI, configure mx31 and mx35 to run in "wait mode"

Consolidate i.MX 5 platforms to be under the new shared i.MX 3/5/6 tree.

* tag 'arm-soc-imx-move' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc:
  ARM i.MX: Update defconfig
  ARM i.MX: Merge i.MX5 support into mach-imx
  ARM i.MX5: remove unnecessary includes from board files

Fix up fairly trivial conflicts due to various changes nearby in
arch/arm/{mach,plat}-imx/{Kconfig,Makefile}

Pull request had been sent to the wrong email address, but happened
before the merge window closed. I'm merging the MX 5 consolidation,
since it apparently will help the next development window and will avoid
conflicts later as per Arnd.

Shawn Guo ddd5f51bf6 arm/imx: change mxc_init_l2x0() to an imx31/35 specific call
The mxc_init_l2x0() should really be an imx31/35 specific call.
The patch removes early_initcall from mxc_init_l2x0() and get imx31
and imx35 soc specific function calls mxc_init_l2x0(), so that it's
not necessarily to be called for all imx socs when we build single
image for multiple imx socs.

Thus the function can be renamed to imx3_init_l2x0() and put into
mm-imx3.c. It also changes the return type from integer to void.
From what I see, the integer was picked just to satisfy early_initcall
prototype.

With the patch 'ARM: l2x0: add empty l2x0_of_init' applied, the code
compiles even without CONFIG_CACHE_L2X0 enabled.
