b0455371cc RDMA/rtrs-clt: Check strnlen return len in sysfs mpath_policy_store()
[ Upstream commit 7a7b7f575a ]

strnlen() may return 0 (e.g. for "\0\n" string), it's better to
check the result of strnlen() before using 'len - 1' expression
for the 'buf' array index.

Detected using the static analysis tool - Svace.

7ed498095c RDMA/rtrs-clt: Remove the warnings for req in_use check
[ Upstream commit 0c8bb6eb70 ]

As we chain the WR during write request: memory registration,
rdma write, local invalidate, if only the last WR fail to send due
to send queue overrun, the server can send back the reply, while
client mark the req->in_use to false in case of error in rtrs_clt_req
when error out from rtrs_post_rdma_write_sg.

233c32bcf0 RDMA/rtrs-srv: Destroy path files after making sure no IOs in-flight
[ Upstream commit c4d32e77fc ]

Destroying path files may lead to the freeing of rdma_stats. This creates
the following race.

An IO is in-flight, or has just passed the session state check in
process_read/process_write. The close_work gets triggered and the function
rtrs_srv_close_work() starts and does destroy path which frees the
rdma_stats. After this the function process_read/process_write resumes and
tries to update the stats through the function rtrs_srv_update_rdma_stats

This commit solves the problem by moving the destroy path function to a
later point. This point makes sure any inflights are completed. This is
done by qp drain, and waiting for all in-flights through ops_id.

9dd976c435 RDMA/rtrs-srv: Check return values while processing info request
[ Upstream commit ed1e52aefa ]

While processing info request, it could so happen that the srv_path goes
to CLOSING state, cause of any of the error events from RDMA. That state
change should be picked up while trying to change the state in
process_info_req, by checking the return value. In case the state change
call in process_info_req fails, we fail the processing.

We should also check the return value for rtrs_srv_path_up, since it
sends a link event to the client above, and the client can fail for any
reason.

00b276bc7b RDMA/rtrs: Fix rxe_dealloc_pd warning
[ Upstream commit 9c29c8c7df ]

In current design:
1. PD and clt_path->s.dev are shared among connections.
2. every con[n]'s cleanup phase will call destroy_con_cq_qp()
3. clt_path->s.dev will be always decreased in destroy_con_cq_qp(), and
when clt_path->s.dev become zero, it will destroy PD.
4. when con[1] failed to create, con[1] will not take clt_path->s.dev,
but it try to decreased clt_path->s.dev

So, in case create_cm(con[0]) succeeds but create_cm(con[1]) fails,
destroy_con_cq_qp(con[1]) will be called first which will destroy the PD
while this PD is still taken by con[0].

Here, we refactor the error path of create_cm() and init_conns(), so that
we do the cleanup in the order they are created.

The warning occurs when destroying RXE PD whose reference count is not
zero.

5a19095103 use less confusing names for iov_iter direction initializers
[ Upstream commit de4eda9de2 ]

READ/WRITE proved to be actively confusing - the meanings are
"data destination, as used with read(2)" and "data source, as
used with write(2)", but people keep interpreting those as
"we read data from it" and "we write data to it", i.e. exactly
the wrong way.

Call them ITER_DEST and ITER_SOURCE - at least that is harder
to misinterpret...

56c310de0b RDMA/rtrs-srv: Pass the correct number of entries for dma mapped SGL
ib_dma_map_sg() augments the SGL into a 'dma mapped SGL'. This process
may change the number of entries and the lengths of each entry.

Code that touches dma_address is iterating over the 'dma mapped SGL'
and must use dma_nents which returned from ib_dma_map_sg().

We should use the return count from ib_dma_map_sg for futher usage.

To supress the calltrace, let's call get_cpu_ptr/put_cpu_ptr pair in
rtrs_clt_update_rdma_stats to disable preemption when accessing per-cpu
variable.

While at it, let's make the similar change in rtrs_clt_update_wc_stats.
And for rtrs_clt_inc_failover_cnt, though it was only called inside rcu
section, but it still can be preempted in case CONFIG_PREEMPT_RCU is
enabled, so change it to {get,put}_cpu_ptr pair either.
