Muralidhara M K e1907d3751 x86/amd_nb: Unexport amd_cache_northbridges()
amd_cache_northbridges() is exported by amd_nb.c and is called by
amd64-agp.c and amd64_edac.c modules at module_init() time so that NB
descriptors are properly cached before those drivers can use them.

However, the init_amd_nbs() initcall already does call
amd_cache_northbridges() unconditionally and thus makes sure the NB
descriptors are enumerated.

That initcall is a fs_initcall type which is on the 5th group (starting
from 0) of initcalls that gets run in increasing numerical order by the
init code.

The module_init() call is turned into an __initcall() in the MODULE=n
case and those are device-level initcalls, i.e., group 6.

Therefore, the northbridges caching is already finished by the time
module initialization starts and thus the correct initialization order
is retained.

Unexport amd_cache_northbridges(), update dependent modules to
call amd_nb_num() instead. While at it, simplify the checks in
amd_cache_northbridges().

Yazen Ghannam db970bd231 x86/CPU/AMD: Remove amd_get_nb_id()
The Last Level Cache ID is returned by amd_get_nb_id(). In practice,
this value is the same as the AMD NodeId for callers of this function.
The NodeId is saved in struct cpuinfo_x86.cpu_die_id.

Replace calls to amd_get_nb_id() with the logical CPU's cpu_die_id and
remove the function.

Marcel Bocu af4e1c5eca x86/amd_nb: Add PCI device IDs for family 17h, model 70h
The AMD Ryzen gen 3 processors came with a different PCI IDs for the
function 3 & 4 which are used to access the SMN interface. The root
PCI address however remained at the same address as the model 30h.

Adding the F3/F4 PCI IDs respectively to the misc and link ids appear
to be sufficient for k10temp, so let's add them and follow up on the
patch if other functions need more tweaking.

Vicki Pfau sent an identical patch after I checked that no-one had
written this patch. I would have been happy about dropping my patch but
unlike for his patch series, I had already Cc:ed the x86 people and
they already reviewed the changes. Since Vicki has not answered to
any email after his initial series, let's assume she is on vacation
and let's avoid duplication of reviews from the maintainers and merge
my series. To acknowledge Vicki's anteriority, I added her S-o-b to
the patch.

Yazen Ghannam ddfe43cdc0 x86/amd_nb: Add SMN and Indirect Data Fabric access for AMD Fam17h
Some devices on Fam17h can only be accessed through the System Management
Network (SMN). The SMN is accessed by a pair of index/data registers in PCI
config space. Add a pair of functions to read from and write to the SMN.

The Data Fabric on Fam17h allows multiple devices to use the same register
space. The registers of a specific device are accessed indirectly using the
device's DF InstanceId. Currently, we only need to read from these devices,
so only define a read function for now.

Paul Gortmaker 186f43608a x86/kernel: Audit and remove any unnecessary uses of module.h
Historically a lot of these existed because we did not have
a distinction between what was modular code and what was providing
support to modules via EXPORT_SYMBOL and friends. That changed
when we forked out support for the latter into the export.h file.

This means we should be able to reduce the usage of module.h
in code that is obj-y Makefile or bool Kconfig. The advantage
in doing so is that module.h itself sources about 15 other headers;
adding significantly to what we feed cpp, and it can obscure what
headers we are effectively using.

Since module.h was the source for init.h (for __init) and for
export.h (for EXPORT_SYMBOL) we consider each obj-y/bool instance
for the presence of either and replace as needed. Build testing
revealed some implicit header usage that was fixed up accordingly.

Note that some bool/obj-y instances remain since module.h is
the header for some exception table entry stuff, and for things
like __init_or_module (code that is tossed when MODULES=n).

Borislav Petkov 1ead852dd8 x86/amd_nb: Fix boot crash on non-AMD systems
Fix boot crash that triggers if this driver is built into a kernel and
run on non-AMD systems.

AMD northbridges users call amd_cache_northbridges() and it returns
a negative value to signal that we weren't able to cache/detect any
northbridges on the system.

At least, it should do so as all its callers expect it to do so. But it
does return a negative value only when kmalloc() fails.

Fix it to return -ENODEV if there are no NBs cached as otherwise, amd_nb
users like amd64_edac, for example, which relies on it to know whether
it should load or not, gets loaded on systems like Intel Xeons where it
shouldn't.

Aravind Gopalakrishnan 1b4574292e x86/gart: Check for GART support before accessing GART registers
GART registers are not present in newer AMD processors (Fam15h, Model
10h and later). So, avoid accessing those in PCI config space by
returning early in early_gart_iommu_check() and gart_iommu_hole_init()
if GART is not available.

Current code doesn't break on existing processors but there are some
side effects:

We get bogus AGP aperture messages which are simply noise on
GART-less processors:

AGP: Node 0: aperture [bus addr 0x00000000-0x01ffffff] (32MB)
AGP: Your BIOS doesn't leave aperture memory hole
AGP: Please enable the IOMMU option in the BIOS setup
AGP: This costs you 64MB of RAM
AGP: Mapping aperture over RAM [mem 0xd4000000-0xd7ffffff]

We can avoid calling allocate_aperture() and would not have to
wastefully reserve 64MB of RAM with memblock_reserve(). Also, we can
avoid having to loop through all PCI buses and devices twice, searching
for a non-existent AGP bridge if we bail out early.

Refactor the family check used in amd_nb.c into an inline function so we
can use it here as well as in amd_nb.c

Fix some typos while at it.

Tested the patch on Fam10h and Fam15h Model 00h-fh and this code runs
fine. On Fam15h Model 60h-6fh and on Fam16h, we bail early as they don't
have GART.

Bjorn Helgaas 24d25dbfa6 x86/PCI: amd: factor out MMCONFIG discovery
This factors out the AMD native MMCONFIG discovery so we can use it
outside amd_bus.c.

amd_bus.c reads AMD MSRs so it can remove the MMCONFIG area from the
PCI resources. We may also need the MMCONFIG information to work
around BIOS defects in the ACPI MCFG table.

Kevin Winchester 141168c36c x86: Simplify code by removing a !SMP #ifdefs from 'struct cpuinfo_x86'
Several fields in struct cpuinfo_x86 were not defined for the
!SMP case, likely to save space. However, those fields still
have some meaning for UP, and keeping them allows some #ifdef
removal from other files. The additional size of the UP kernel
from this change is not significant enough to worry about
keeping up the distinction:

text data bss dec hex filename
	4737168 506459 972040	6215667 5ed7f3	vmlinux.o.before
	4737444 506459 972040	6215943 5ed907	vmlinux.o.after

for a difference of 276 bytes for an example UP config.

If someone wants those 276 bytes back badly then it should
be implemented in a cleaner way.

Borislav Petkov cb6c8520f6 x86, amd-nb: Rename CPU PCI id define for F4
With increasing number of PCI function ids, add the PCI function
id in the define name instead of its symbolic name in the BKDG
for more clarity. This renames function 4 define.
