Allow the user to configure where on the cable the TDR data should be
retrieved, in terms of first and last sample, and the step between
samples. Also add the ability to ask for TDR data for just one pair.
If this configuration is not provided, it defaults to 1-150m at 1m
intervals for all pairs.

get_coalesce returns 0 or ERRNO, but the return value isn't checked.
The returned coalesce data may be invalid if an ERRNO is set,

Move the AF_XDP zero-copy driver interface to its own include file
called xdp_sock_drv.h. This, hopefully, will make it more clear for
NIC driver implementors to know what functions to use for zero-copy

As ethnl_request_ops::reply_size handlers do not include common header
size into calculated/estimated reply size, it needs to be added in
ethnl_default_doit() and ethnl_default_notify() before allocating the
message. On the other hand, strset_reply_size() should not add common
header size.

Provide infrastructure for PHY drivers to report the cable test
results. A netlink skb is associated to the phydev. Helpers will be
added which can add results to this skb. Once the test has finished
the results are sent to user space.
When netlink ethtool is not part of the kernel configuration stubs are
provided. It is also impossible to trigger a cable test, so the error
code returned by the alloc function is of no consequence.

This UAPI is needed for BroadR-Reach 100BASE-T1 devices. Due to lack of
auto-negotiation support, we needed to be able to configure the
MASTER-SLAVE role of the port manually or from an application in user
space.
The same UAPI can be used for 1000BASE-T or MultiGBASE-T devices to

Since some clock or link related issues are only reproducible in a

Implement TSINFO_GET request to get timestamping information for a network
device. This is traditionally available via ETHTOOL_GET_TS_INFO ioctl
request.
Move part of ethtool_get_ts_info() into common.c so that ioctl and netlink

reference if required ethtool_ops callbacks do not exist. One of them is
ethnl_set_privflags(), a simple reproducer would be e.g.

Currently, ethtool feature mask for checksum command is ORed with
NETIF_F_FCOE_CRC_BIT, which is bit's position number, instead of the
actual feature bit - NETIF_F_FCOE_CRC.
The invalid bitmask here might affect unrelated features when toggling
TX checksumming. For example, TX checksumming is always mistakenly
reported as enabled on the netdevs tested (mlx5, virtio_net).

Now that all in-tree drivers have been updated we can
make the supported_coalesce_params mandatory.
To save debugging time in case some driver was missed
(or is out of tree) add a warning when netdev is registered
with set_coalesce but without supported_coalesce_params.

As pointed out by Jakub Kicinski, we ethtool netlink code should respond
with an error if request head has flags set which are not recognized by
kernel, either as a mistake or because it expects functionality introduced
in later kernel versions.
To avoid unnecessary roundtrips, use extack cookie to provide the
information about supported request flags.

used by both ioctl and netlink code.

Implement PRIVFLAGS_SET netlink request to set private flags of a network
device. These are traditionally set with ETHTOOL_SPFLAGS ioctl request.

Send ETHTOOL_MSG_FEATURES_NTF notification whenever network device features
are modified using ETHTOOL_MSG_FEATURES_SET netlink message, ethtool ioctl
request or any other way resulting in call to netdev_update_features() or
netdev_change_features()
