Add a Sierra PHY driver with PCIe and USB support. The PHY has multiple lanes, which can be configured into groups, and a generic PHY device is created for each group. There are two resets controlling the overall PHY block, one to enable the APB interface for programming registers, and another to enable the PHY itself. Additionally there are resets for each PHY lane. The PHY can be configured in hardware to read register settings from ROM, or they can be written by the driver. The sequence of operation on startup is to enable the APB bus, write the PHY registers (if required) for each lane group, and then enable the PHY. There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
