7b1c9b8441 soc: xilinx: vcu: add missing register NUM_CORE
The H.264/H.265 Video Codec Unit v1.2 documentation describes this
register as follows:

Number of encoders core used for the provided configuration

This is required for configuring the VCU encoder buffer.

30b79eb1f9 soc: xilinx: vcu: use vcu-settings syscon registers
Switch the "logicoreip" registers to the new xlnx,vcu-settings binding
to be able to read the settings if the settings are specified in a
separate device tree node that is shared with other drivers.

If the driver is not able to find a node with the new binding, fall back
to check for the logicore register bank to be backwards compatible.

9e56f0df36 PCI: imx: Add imx6sx suspend/resume support
Enable PCI suspend/resume support on imx6sx SOCs. This is similar to
imx7d with a few differences:

* The PM_Turn_Off bit is exposed through an IOMUX GPR, like all other
pcie control bits on 6sx.
* The pcie_inbound_axi clk needs to be turned off in suspend. On resume
it is restored via resume -> deassert_core_reset -> enable_ref_clk.

Most of the resume logic is shared with the initial reset after probe.

8f28472a73 USB patches for 4.12-rc1
Here is the big USB patchset for 4.12-rc1.

Lots of good stuff here, after many many many attempts, the kernel
finally has a working typeC interface, many thanks to the Heikki and
Guenter and others who have taken the time to get this merged. It
wasn't an easy path for them at all.

There's also a staging driver that uses this new api, which is why it's
 coming in through this tree.

Along with that, there's the usual huge number of changes for gadget
drivers, xhci, and other stuff. Johan also finally refactored pretty
much every driver that was looking at USB endpoints to do it in a common
way, which will help prevent any "badly-formed" devices from causing
problems in drivers. That too wasn't a simple task.

All of these have been in linux-next for a while with no reported
 issues.

On mx6ul the General Purpose Register 1 (GPR1) contains the following

This patch adds support for MIPI DPHYs found in Exynos5420-compatible
(5420, 5422 and 5800) and Exynos5433 SoCs. Those SoCs differs from
earlier by different offset of MIPI DPHY registers in PMU controllers
(Exynos 5420-compatible case) or by moving MIPI DPHY reset registers to
separate system register controllers (Exynos 5433 case). In both case
also additional 5th PHY (MIPI CSIS 2) has been added.

e4b3d38088 phy: exynos-video-mipi: Fix regression by adding support for PMU regmap
After the Exynos Power Management Unit (PMU) driver was converted
to the platform device driver in commit 14fc8b93d4
("ARM: EXYNOS: Add platform driver support for Exynos PMU") and
then PMU device nodes added to Exynos4 DTs in commit
7b9613aca4 ("ARM: dts: add PMU syscon node for exynos4")
the mipi video phy driver started failing probing, due to overlapping
memory mapped register region resources.

Now all the Exynos peripheral devices which have registers in the PMU
region are supposed to use the regmap provided by the syscon driver.
So support for regmap is added in this patch, this unfortunately
creates yet another indirection into that supposedly trivial driver.

The additional mutex is required because single register is used by
PHY pairs (they share bit in a register). An improvement here could
be to allow a PHY instance be created with a driver custom mutex,
which would then be common for each PHY pair. This would eliminate
one of 3 mutexes which need to be taken in the phy_power_on/
phy_power_off code path. However, I tried to keep this bug fix patch
possibly simple.

This change is needed to make MIPI DSI displays and MIPI CSI-2
camera sensors working again on Exynos4 boards.

fef36a7a31 ARM: SoC fixes for 3.11-rc
This is a largeish batch of fixes, mostly because I missed -rc2 due to
travel/vacation. So in number these are a bit more than ideal unless
you amortize them over two -rcs.

 Quick breakdown:
  - Defconfig updates
    - Making multi_v7_defconfig useful on more hardware to encourage
      single-image usage
    - Davinci and nomadik updates due to new code merged this merge window
  - Fixes for UART on Samsung platforms, both PM and clock-related
  - A handful of warning fixes from defconfig builds, including for
max8925 backlight and pxamci (both with appropriate acks)
  - Exynos5440 fixes for LPAE configuration, PM
  - ...plus a bunch of other smaller changes all over the place

I expect to switch to regressions-or-severe-bugs-only fixes from here
 on out.
