454ede7eeb x86: Make timer setup and global variables the same in time_32/64.c
The timer and timer irq setup code is identical in 32 and 64 bit. Make
it the same formatting as well. Also add the global variables under
the necessary ifdefs to both files.

64fcbac1f3 x86: Simplify timer_ack magic in time_32.c
Let the compiler optimize the timer_ack magic away in the 32bit timer
interrupt and put the same code into time_64.c. It's optimized out for
CONFIG_X86_IO_APIC on 32bit and for 64bit because timer_ack is const 0
in both cases.

845b3944bb x86: Add timer_init to x86_init_ops
The timer init code is convoluted with several quirks and the paravirt
timer chooser. Figuring out which code path is actually taken is not
for the faint hearted.

Move the numaq TSC quirk to tsc_pre_init x86_init_ops function and
replace the paravirt time chooser and the remaining x86 quirk with a
simple x86_init_ops function.

8e6dafd6c7 x86: refactor x86_quirks support
Impact: cleanup

Make x86_quirks support more transparent. The highlevel
methods are now named:

  extern void x86_quirk_pre_intr_init(void);
  extern void x86_quirk_intr_init(void);

  extern void x86_quirk_trap_init(void);

  extern void x86_quirk_pre_time_init(void);
  extern void x86_quirk_time_init(void);

This makes it clear that if some platform extension has to
do something here that it is considered ... weird, and is
discouraged.

Also remove arch_hooks.h and move it into setup.h (and other
header files where appropriate).

33c053d0ae x86: wrap MCA_bus test around an ifdef
Only test for MCA_bus if support for MCA is compiled in.
Also, for x86_64, write the code inside the conditional

0ef9553332 x86: merge sched_clock handling
Move the basic global variable definitions and sched_clock handling in the
common "tsc.c" file.

 - Unify notsc kernel command line handling for 32 bit and 64bit.
 - Functional changes for 64bit.
        - "tsc_disabled" is updated if "notsc" is passed at boottime.
        - Fallback to jiffies for sched_clock, incase notsc is passed on
	  commandline.

d11d5794e0 x86: I/O APIC: AEOI timer acknowledgement clean-ups
The code that used to be in do_slow_gettimeoffset() that relied on the
IRR bit of the master 8259A PIC for IRQ0 to check the state of the output
timer 0 of the PIT is no longer there. As a result, there is no need to
use the POLL command to acknowledge the timer interrupt in the "8259A
Virtual Wire", except for the NMI watchdog when the i82489DX APIC is used
(this is because this particular APIC treats NMIs as level-triggered and
keeping the input asserted would keep motherboard NMI sources held off for
too long). Remove the unneeded bits and adjust comments accordingly.

65ea5b0349 x86: rename the struct pt_regs members for 32/64-bit consistency
We have a lot of code which differs only by the naming of specific
members of structures that contain registers. In order to enable
additional unifications, this patch drops the e- or r- size prefix
from the register names in struct pt_regs, and drops the x- prefixes
for segment registers on the 32-bit side.

This patch also performs the equivalent renames in some additional
places that might be candidates for unification in the future.

835c34a168 Delete filenames in comments.
Since the x86 merge, lots of files that referenced their own filenames
are no longer correct. Rather than keep them up to date, just delete
them, as they add no real value.

Additionally:
- fix up comment formatting in scx200_32.c
- Remove a credit from myself in setup_64.c from a time when we had no SCM
- remove longwinded history from tsc_32.c which can be figured out from
  git.

3c9aea4742 x86: Fix irq0 / local apic timer accounting
The clock events merge introduced a change to the nmi watchdog code to
handle the not longer increasing local apic timer count in the
broadcast mode. This is fine for UP, but on SMP it pampers over a
stuck CPU which is not handling the broadcast interrupt due to the
unconditional sum up of local apic timer count and irq0 count.

To cover all cases we need to keep track on which CPU irq0 is
handled. In theory this is CPU#0 due to the explicit disabling of irq
balancing for irq0, but there are systems which ignore this on the
hardware level. The per cpu irq0 accounting allows us to remove the
irq0 to CPU0 binding as well.

Add a per cpu counter for irq0 and evaluate this instead of the global
irq0 count in the nmi watchdog code.
