MEMIC buffer, in addition to regular read and write operations, can
support atomic operations from the host.
Introduce and implement new UAPI to allocate address space for MEMIC
operations such as atomic. This includes:
1. Expose new IOCTL for request mapping of MEMIC operation.
2. Hold the operations address in a list, so same operation to same DM
will be allocated only once.
3. Manage refcount on the mlx5_ib_dm object, so it would be keep valid
until all addresses were unmapped.

The umem DMA list calculation was locked at 4k pages due to confusion
around how this API works and is used when larger pages are present.
The conclusion is:
- umem's cannot extend past what is mapped into the process, so creating
a lage page size and referring to a sub-range is not allowed
- umem's must always have a page offset of zero, except for sub PAGE_SIZE
umems
- The feature of umem_offset to create multiple objects inside a umem
is buggy and isn't used anyplace. Thus we can assume all users of the
current API have umem_offset == 0 as well
Provide a new page size calculator that limits the DMA list to the VA
range and enforces umem_offset == 0.
Allow user space to specify the page sizes which it can accept, this
bitmap must be derived from the intended use of the umem, based on
per-usage HW limitations.

Fix this by explicitly defining the enum used by the PVRDMA device and

With the "PID" category QPs have same PID will be bound to same counter;
If this category is not set then QPs have different PIDs will be bound

This is implemented for 2 reasons:
1. The counter is a limited resource, while there may be dozens of
applications, each of which creates several types of QPs, which means
it may doesn't have enough counter.
2. The system administrator needs all QPs created by all applications
with same type bound to one counter.
The counter name and PID is only make sense when "PID" category are

This category can also be used in combine with others, e.g. QP type.

Summary:
- Various small driver bugs fixes in rxe, mlx5, hfi1, and efa
- Continuing driver cleanups in bnxt_re, hns
- Big cleanup of mlx5 QP creation flows
- More consistent use of src port and flow label when LAG is used and
a mlx5 implementation
- Additional set of cleanups for IB CM
- 'RNBD' network block driver and target. This is a network block
RDMA device specific to ionos's cloud environment. It brings strong
multipath and resiliency capabilities.
- Accelerated IPoIB for HFI1
- QP/WQ/SRQ ioctl migration for uverbs, and support for multiple
async fds
- Support for exchanging the new IBTA defiend ECE data during RDMA CM
exchanges
- Removal of the very old and insecure FMR interface from all ULPs
and drivers. FRWR should be preferred for at least a decade now"

HW/FW support two types of latency enhancement features. Until now
user-space implemented only edpm (enhanced dpm). We add kernel capability
flags to differentiate between current FW in kernel that supports both
ldpm and edpm. Since edpm is not yet supported for iWARP we add different
flags for iWARP + RoCE. We also fix bad practice of defining sizes in
rdma-core and pass initialization to kernel, for forward compatibility.
The capability flags are added for backward-forward compatibility between
kernel and rdma-core for qedr.
Before this change there was a field called dpm_enabled which could hold
either 0 or 1 value, this indicated whether RoCE edpm was enabled or
not. We modified this field to be dpm_flags, and bit 1 still holds the
same meaning of RoCE edpm being enabled or not.

This change allows the RDMA stack to use physical resource numbers if they
are passed up from the device. This is accomplished by separating the
concept of the QP number from the QP handle. Previously, the two were the
same, as the QP number was exposed to the guest and also used to reference
a virtual QP in the device backend.
With physical resource numbers exposed, the QP number given to the guest
is the number assigned from the physical HCA's QP, while the QP handle is
still the internal handle used to reference a virtual QP. Regardless of
whether the device is exposing physical ids, the driver will still try to
pick up the QP handle from the backend if possible. The MR keys exposed to
the guest will also be the MR keys created by the physical HCA, instead of
virtual MR keys. The distinction between handle and keys is already
present for MRs so there is no need to do anything special here.
A new version of the create QP response has been added to the device API
to pass up the QP number and handle. The driver will also report these to
userspace in the udata response if userspace supports it or not create the
queuepair if not. I also had to do a refactor of the destroy qp code to
reuse it if we fail to copy to userspace.

UAPI headers licensed under GPL are supposed to have exception
"WITH Linux-syscall-note" so that they can be included into non-GPL

The exception note is missing in some UAPI headers.
Some of them slipped in by the treewide conversion commit b24413180f
("License cleanup: add SPDX GPL-2.0 license identifier to files with

$ git show --oneline b24413180f -- arch/x86/include/uapi/asm/
I believe they are not intentional, and should be fixed too.
This patch was generated by the following script:
git grep -l --not -e Linux-syscall-note --and -e SPDX-License-Identifier \
-- :arch/*/include/uapi/asm/*.h :include/uapi/ :^*/Kbuild |
while read file
do

After this patch is applied, there are 5 UAPI headers that do not contain
"WITH Linux-syscall-note". They are kept untouched since this exception
applies only to GPL variants.

The conversion itself is simple: add a markup for the
title of this file and add markups for both tables.
Yet, the big table here with IOCTL numbers is badly formatted:
on several lines, the "Include File" column has some values that
are bigger than the reserved space there.
Also, on several places, a comment was misplaced at the "Include
File" space.
So, most of the work here is to actually ensure that each field
will be properly fixed.
Also worth to mention that some URLs have the asterisk character
on it. Well, Sphinx has an issue with asterisks in the middle
of an string. As this is URL, use the alternate format: %2A.
As a side effect of this patch, it is now a lot easier to see that
some reserved ioctl numbers are missing the include files
where it is supposed to be used.
PS.: While this is part of a subdir, I opted to convert this
single file alone, as this file has a potential of conflicts,
as most subsystem maintainers touch it.

specified then a new one will be allocated.
Manual mode is enabled when user binds a QP, and disabled when the last

For all string attributes for which we don't currently accept the element
as input, we only use it as output, set the string length to
RDMA_NLDEV_ATTR_EMPTY_STRING which is defined as 1. That way we will only
accept a null string for that element. This will prevent someone from
writing a new input routine that uses the element without also updating
the policy to have a valid value.
Also while there, make sure the existing entries that are valid have the
correct policy, if not, correct the policy. Remove unnecessary checks
for nla_strlcpy() overflow once the policy has been set correctly.

Allow userspace to issue a netlink query against the ib_device for
something like "uverbs" and get back the char dev name, inode major/minor,
and interface ABI information for "uverbs0".
Since we are now in netlink this can also trigger a module autoload to
make the uverbs device come into existence.
Largely this will let us replace searching and reading inside sysfs to
setup devices, and provides an alternative (using driver_id) to device
name based provider binding for things like rxe.
