Allow to configure port split options using the devlink port split
interface. Support port splitting only for port 0, as the FW has
a predefined set of available port split options for the whole device.
Add ice_devlink_port_options_print() function to print the table with
all available FW port split options. It will be printed after each port
split and unsplit command.
Add documentation for devlink port split interface usage for the ice
driver.

DECnet is an obsolete network protocol that receives more attention
from kernel janitors than users. It belongs in computer protocol
history museum not in Linux kernel.
It has been "Orphaned" in kernel since 2010. The iproute2 support
for DECnet was dropped in 5.0 release. The documentation link on
Sourceforge says it is abandoned there as well.
Leave the UAPI alone to keep userspace programs compiling.
This means that there is still an empty neighbour table
for AF_DECNET.
The table of /proc/sys/net entries was updated to match
current directories and reformatted to be alphabetical.

The QUSGMII mode is a derivative of Cisco's USXGMII standard. This
standard is pretty similar to SGMII, but allows for faster speeds, and
has the build-in bits for Quad and Octa variants (like QSGMII).
The main difference with SGMII/QSGMII is that USXGMII/QUSGMII re-uses
the preamble to carry various information, named 'Extensions'.
As of today, the USXGMII standard only mentions the "PCH" extension,
which is used to convey timestamps, allowing in-band signaling of PTP
timestamps without having to modify the frame itself.
This commit adds support for that mode. When no extension is in use, it
behaves exactly like QSGMII, although it's not compatible with QSGMII.

Returning -EOPNOTSUPP does *NOT* mean anything special.
port_vlan_add() is actually called from 2 code paths, one is
vlan_vid_add() from 8021q module and the other is
br_switchdev_port_vlan_add() from switchdev.
The bridge has a wrapper __vlan_vid_add() which first tries via
switchdev, then if that returns -EOPNOTSUPP, tries again via the VLAN RX
filters in the 8021q module. But DSA doesn't distinguish between one
call path and the other when calling the driver's port_vlan_add(), so if
the driver returns -EOPNOTSUPP to switchdev, it also returns -EOPNOTSUPP
to the 8021q module. And the latter is a hard error.
port_fdb_add() is called from the deferred dsa_owq only, so obviously
its return code isn't propagated anywhere, and cannot be interpreted in
any way.
The return code from port_mdb_add() is propagated to the bridge, but
again, this doesn't do anything special when -EOPNOTSUPP is returned,
but rather, br_switchdev_mdb_notify() returns void.

The last meaningful change to this driver was made by Jon in 2011.
As much as we'd like to believe that this is because the code is
perfect the chances are nobody is using this hardware.
Because of the size of this driver there is a nontrivial maintenance
cost to keeping this code around, in the last 2 years we're averaging
more than 1 change a month. Some of which require nontrivial review
effort, see commit 877fe9d49b ("Revert "drivers/net/ethernet/neterion/vxge:
Fix a use-after-free bug in vxge-main.c"") for example.
Let's try to remove this driver. In general, IMHO, we need to
establish a clear path for shedding dead code. It will be hard
to unless we have some experience trying to delete stuff.

RFC 9131 changes default behaviour of handling RX of NA messages when the
corresponding entry is absent in the neighbour cache. The current
implementation is limited to accept just unsolicited NAs. However, the
RFC is more generic where it also accepts solicited NAs. Both types
should result in adding a STALE entry for this case.
Expand accept_untracked_na behaviour to also accept solicited NAs to
be compliant with the RFC and rename the sysctl knob to
accept_untracked_na.

Two issues were observed in the ReST doc added by commit c3a0addefb
("docs: ctucanfd: CTU CAN FD open-source IP core documentation.")
with Sphinx versions 2.4.4 and 4.5.0.
The plain "figure" directive broke "make pdfdocs" due to a missing
PDF figure. For conversion of SVG -> PDF to work, the "kernel-figure"
directive, which is an extension for kernel documentation, should
be used instead.
The directive of "code:: raw" causes a warning from both
"make htmldocs" and "make pdfdocs", which reads:
[...]/can/ctu/ctucanfd-driver.rst:75: WARNING: Pygments lexer name
'raw' is not known
A plain literal-block marker should suffice where no syntax
highlighting is intended.
Fix the issues by using suitable directive and marker.

Netfilter updates for net-next
This is v2 including deadlock fix in conntrack ecache rework
reported by Jakub Kicinski.
The following patchset contains Netfilter updates for net-next,
mostly updates to conntrack from Florian Westphal.
1) Add a dedicated list for conntrack event redelivery.
2) Include event redelivery list in conntrack dumps of dying type.
3) Remove per-cpu dying list for event redelivery, not used anymore.
4) Add netns .pre_exit to cttimeout to zap timeout objects before
synchronize_rcu() call.
5) Remove nf_ct_unconfirmed_destroy.
6) Add generation id for conntrack extensions for conntrack
timeout and helpers.
7) Detach timeout policy from conntrack on cttimeout module removal.
8) Remove __nf_ct_unconfirmed_destroy.
9) Remove unconfirmed list.
10) Remove unconditional local_bh_disable in init_conntrack().
11) Consolidate conntrack iterator nf_ct_iterate_cleanup().
12) Detect if ctnetlink listeners exist to short-circuit event
path early.
13) Un-inline nf_ct_ecache_ext_add().
14) Add nf_conntrack_events autodetect ctnetlink listener mode
and make it default.
15) Add nf_ct_ecache_exist() to check for event cache extension.
16) Extend flowtable reverse route lookup to include source, iif,
tos and mark, from Sven Auhagen.
17) Do not verify zero checksum UDP packets in nf_reject,
from Kevin Mitchell.

This adds the new nf_conntrack_events=2 mode and makes it the
default.
This leverages the earlier flag in struct net to allow to avoid
the event extension as long as no event listener is active in
the namespace.
This avoids, for most cases, allocation of ct->ext area.
A followup patch will take further advantage of this by avoiding
calls down into the event framework if the extension isn't present.

In order to be able to configure all needed stuff on a port/netdevice
of a line card without the line card being present, introduce line card
provisioning. Basically by setting a type, provisioning process will
start and driver is supposed to create a placeholder for instances
(ports/netdevices) for a line card type.
Allow the user to query the supported line card types over line card
get command. Then implement two netlink command SET to allow user to
set/unset the card type.
On the driver API side, add provision/unprovision ops and supported
types array to be advertised. Upon provision op call, the driver should
take care of creating the instances for the particular line card type.
Introduce provision_set/clear() functions to be called by the driver
once the provisioning/unprovisioning is done on its side. These helpers
are not to be called directly due to the async nature of provisioning.

Back when tcp_tso_autosize() and TCP pacing were introduced,
our focus was really to reduce burst sizes for long distance
flows.
The simple heuristic of using sk_pacing_rate/1024 has worked
well, but can lead to too small packets for hosts in the same
rack/cluster, when thousands of flows compete for the bottleneck.
Neal Cardwell had the idea of making the TSO burst size
a function of both sk_pacing_rate and tcp_min_rtt()
Indeed, for local flows, sending bigger bursts is better
to reduce cpu costs, as occasional losses can be repaired
quite fast.
This patch is based on Neal Cardwell implementation
done more than two years ago.
bbr is adjusting max_pacing_rate based on measured bandwidth,
while cubic would over estimate max_pacing_rate.
/proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_tso_rtt_log can be used to tune or disable
this new feature, in logarithmic steps.
Tested:
100Gbit NIC, two hosts in the same rack, 4K MTU.
600 flows rate-limited to 20000000 bytes per second.
Before patch: (TSO sizes would be limited to 20000000/1024/4096 -> 4 segments per TSO)

After change "net: dsa: tag_8021q: replace the SVL bridging with
VLAN-unaware IVL bridging", tag_8021q enforces two different pvids on a
port, depending on whether it is standalone or in a VLAN-unaware bridge.
Up until now, there was a single pvid, represented by
dsa_tag_8021q_rx_vid(), and that was used as the VLAN for VLAN-unaware
virtual link rules, regardless of whether the port was bridged or
standalone.
To keep VLAN-unaware virtual links working, we need to follow whether
the port is in a bridge or not, and update the VLAN ID from those rules.
In fact we can't fully do that. Depending on whether the switch is
VLAN-aware or not, we can accept Virtual Link rules with just the MAC
DA, or with a MAC DA and a VID. So we already deny changes to the VLAN
awareness of the switch. But the VLAN awareness may also change as a
result of joining or leaving a bridge.
One might say we could just allow the following: a port may leave a
VLAN-unaware bridge while it has VLAN-unaware VL (tc-flower) rules, and
the driver will update those with the new tag_8021q pvid for standalone
mode, but the driver won't accept joining a bridge at all while VL rules
were installed in standalone mode. This is sort of a compromise made
because leaving a bridge is an operation that cannot be vetoed.
But this sort of setup change is not fully supported, either: as
mentioned, VLAN filtering changes can also be triggered by leaving a
bridge, therefore, the existing veto we have in place for turning VLAN
filtering off with VLAN-aware VL rules active still isn't fully
effective.
I really don't know how to deal with this in a way that produces
predictable behavior for user space. Since at the moment, keeping this
feature fully functional on constellation changes (not changing the
tag_8021q port pvid when joining a bridge) is blocking progress for the
DSA FDB isolation, I'd rather document it as a (potentially temporary)
limitation and go on without it.

This change adds a couple of new ioctls for mctp sockets:
SIOCMCTPALLOCTAG and SIOCMCTPDROPTAG. These ioctls provide facilities
for explicit allocation / release of tags, overriding the automatic
allocate-on-send/release-on-reply and timeout behaviours. This allows
userspace more control over messages that may not fit a simple
request/response model.
In order to indicate a pre-allocated tag to the sendmsg() syscall, we
introduce a new flag to the struct sockaddr_mctp.smctp_tag value:
MCTP_TAG_PREALLOC.

For applications running on a mix of platforms it's useful
to have a clear indication whether host's NIC supports the
geometry requirements of TCP zero-copy. TCP zero-copy Rx
requires data to be neatly placed into memory pages.
Most NICs can't do that.
This patch is adding GET support only, since the NICs
I work with either always have the feature enabled or
enable it whenever MTU is set to jumbo. In other words
I don't need SET. But adding set should be trivial.
(The only note on SET is that we will likely want
the setting to be "sticky" and use 0 / `unknown`

The ice hardware contains an embedded chip with firmware which can be
updated using devlink flash. The firmware which runs on this chip is
referred to as the Embedded Management Processor firmware (EMP
firmware).
Activating the new firmware image currently requires that the system be
rebooted. This is not ideal as rebooting the system can cause unwanted
downtime.
In practical terms, activating the firmware does not always require a
full system reboot. In many cases it is possible to activate the EMP
firmware immediately. There are a couple of different scenarios to
cover.
* The EMP firmware itself can be reloaded by issuing a special update
to the device called an Embedded Management Processor reset (EMP
reset). This reset causes the device to reset and reload the EMP
firmware.
* PCI configuration changes are only reloaded after a cold PCIe reset.
Unfortunately there is no generic way to trigger this for a PCIe
device without a system reboot.
When performing a flash update, firmware is capable of responding with
some information about the specific update requirements.
The driver updates the flash by programming a secondary inactive bank
with the contents of the new image, and then issuing a command to
request to switch the active bank starting from the next load.
The response to the final command for updating the inactive NVM flash
bank includes an indication of the minimum reset required to fully
update the device. This can be one of the following:
* A full power on is required
* A cold PCIe reset is required
* An EMP reset is required
The response to the command to switch flash banks includes an indication
of whether or not the firmware will allow an EMP reset request.
For most updates, an EMP reset is sufficient to load the new EMP
firmware without issues. In some cases, this reset is not sufficient
because the PCI configuration space has changed. When this could cause
incompatibility with the new EMP image, the firmware is capable of
rejecting the EMP reset request.
Add logic to ice_fw_update.c to handle the response data flash update
AdminQ commands.
For the reset level, issue a devlink status notification informing the
user of how to complete the update with a simple suggestion like
"Activate new firmware by rebooting the system".
Cache the status of whether or not firmware will restrict the EMP reset
for use in implementing devlink reload.
Implement support for devlink reload with the "fw_activate" flag. This
allows user space to request the firmware be activated immediately.
For the .reload_down handler, we will issue a request for the EMP reset
using the appropriate firmware AdminQ command. If we know that the
firmware will not allow an EMP reset, simply exit with a suitable
netlink extended ACK message indicating that the EMP reset is not
available.
For the .reload_up handler, simply wait until the driver has finished
resetting. Logic to handle processing of an EMP reset already exists in
the driver as part of its reset and rebuild flows.
Implement support for the devlink reload interface with the
"fw_activate" action. This allows userspace to request activation of
firmware without a reboot.
Note that support for indicating the required reset and EMP reset
restriction is not supported on old versions of firmware. The driver can
determine if the two features are supported by checking the device
capabilities report. I confirmed support has existed since at least
version 5.5.2 as reported by the 'fw.mgmt' version. Support to issue the
EMP reset request has existed in all version of the EMP firmware for the
ice hardware.
Check the device capabilities report to determine whether or not the
indications are reported by the running firmware. If the reset
requirement indication is not supported, always assume a full power on
is necessary. If the reset restriction capability is not supported,
always assume the EMP reset is available.
Users can verify if the EMP reset has activated the firmware by using
the devlink info report to check that the 'running' firmware version has
updated. For example a user might do the following:
# Check current version
$ devlink dev info
# Update the device
$ devlink dev flash pci/0000:af:00.0 file firmware.bin
# Confirm stored version updated
$ devlink dev info
# Reload to activate new firmware
$ devlink dev reload pci/0000:af:00.0 action fw_activate
# Confirm running version updated
$ devlink dev info
Finally, this change does *not* implement basic driver-only reload
support. I did look into trying to do this. However, it requires
significant refactor of how the ice driver probes and loads everything.
The ice driver probe and allocation flows were not designed with such
a reload in mind. Refactoring the flow to support this is beyond the
scope of this change.
