Tudor Ambarus 80a38bfbbd spi: dt-bindings: introduce FIFO depth properties
There are SPI IPs that can be configured by the integrator with a
specific FIFO depth depending on the system's capabilities. For example,
the samsung USI SPI IP can be configured by the integrator with a TX/RX
FIFO from 8 byte to 256 bytes.

Introduce the ``fifo-depth`` property for such instances of IPs where the
same FIFO depth is used for both RX and TX. Introduce ``rx-fifo-depth``
and ``tx-fifo-depth`` properties for cases where the RX FIFO depth is
different from the TX FIFO depth.

Make the dedicated RX/TX properties dependent on each other and mutual
exclusive with the other.

Jerome Brunet 5fd61cc281 dt-bindings: pwm: amlogic: Add a new binding for meson8 pwm types
The binding that is used up to now describe which input the PWM
channel multiplexer should pick among its possible parents,
which are hardcoded in the driver. This isn't a good binding in
the sense that it should describe hardware but not usage.

Add a new binding deprecating the old one that uses clocks in a
better way and how clocks are usually used today: The list of
clocks describe the inputs of the PWM block as they are realised
in hardware.

So deprecate the old bindings and introduce a compatible per SoC
family to replace these.

Jerome Brunet c2dd6b93f6 dt-bindings: pwm: amlogic: fix s4 bindings
s4 has been added to the compatible list while converting the Amlogic PWM
binding documentation from txt to yaml.

However, on the s4, the clock bindings have different meaning compared to
the previous SoCs.

On the previous SoCs the clock bindings used to describe which input the
PWM channel multiplexer should pick among its possible parents.

This is very much tied to the driver implementation, instead of describing
the HW for what it is. When support for the Amlogic PWM was first added,
how to deal with clocks through DT was not as clear as it nowadays.
The Linux driver now ignores this DT setting, but still relies on the
hard-coded list of clock sources.

On the s4, the input multiplexer is gone. The clock bindings actually
describe the clock as it exists, not a setting. The property has a
different meaning, even if it is still 2 clocks and it would pass the check
when support is actually added.

Also the s4 cannot work if the clocks are not provided, so the property is
no longer optional.

Finally, for once it makes sense to see the input as being numbered
somehow. No need to bother with clock-names on the s4 type of PWM.

Based on the mailing list discussions, the conclusion was that we need two
separate device tree bindings, one for Rogue and upcoming GPUS, and one for
 the older SGX GPUs.

For merging the changes, I applied the binding changes together with the
TI SoC related changes into a branch leaving out the sun6i and mips changes
 as suggested by Rob.

These changes are mostly 32-bit SoCs, but also contains one arm64 change.
It does not cause any merge conflicts.

 has not been presented.

On SA8775P the firmware memory map has changed and is updated. Safety
IRQ is added to the Ethernet controller.

On SC7180 UFS support is introduced and the cros-ec-spi is marked as
 wakeup source.

For SC7280 capacity and DPC properties are added, cryptobam definition
is improved to work in more firmware environments, more Chrome-specific
properties are moved out from main dtsi, and cros-ec-spi is maked as a
wakeup source. Slimbus definition is added to the platform.

Josua Mayer e1916d0a95 dt-bindings: marvell: a38x: add solidrun armada 388 clearfog boards
Add DT compatible for SolidRun Armada-388 based Clearfog Base and Pro
boards, which are already in place in-tree.

There are already 3 distinct dts in tree for these *two* boards,
declaring particular compatible strings:
the generic "armada-388-clearfog.dts" is a legacy name for the Pro
version, old versions of u-boot built when only one variant existed
explicitly boot by this name.
The other two add explicit -pro / -base suffix to the filename, these
are preferred and chosen by latest u-boot.

Note that both compatibles and model field include the string "A1".
At least up to revision 2.0 of the board, this had been printed
on the pcb. However in marketing material and conversations it is
usually omitted. "Clearfog Pro" and "Clearfog Pro A1" always mean
exactly the same product.

Technically Base and Pro variants are similar enough that they can
successfully boot with each other's dts. Hence it makes (some)
sense for them to share the "clearfog-a1" compatible.

Add bindings for the explicit variants -pro and -base - including a
shared compatible string between the two.

Christophe Kerello 97dcd1ef76 dt-bindings: memory-controller: st,stm32: add MP25 support
Add a new compatible string to support MP25 SoC.

On MP1 SoC, RNB signal (NAND controller signal) and NWAIT signal (PSRAM
controller signal) have been integrated together in the SoC. That means
that the NAND controller and the PSRAM controller (if the signal is
used) can not be used at the same time. On MP25 SoC, the 2 signals can
be used outside the SoC, so there is no more restrictions.

MP1 SoC also embeds revision 1.1 of the FMC2 IP when MP25 SoC embeds
revision 2.0 of the FMC2 IP.

MP25 SoC is also using PSCI OS-initiated mode, so allow a single
'power-domains' entry for STM32 FMC2. As MP1 will move on PSCI
OS-initiated mode, add this property as optional for all FMC2 variants.

Sebastian Reichel 1447c13051 dt-bindings: lcdif: Do not require power-domains for i.MX6ULL
i.MX6UL(L) uses "fsl,imx6sx-lcdif" as fallback compatible string,
but has only very lightweight DISPLAY power domain. Its DISPLAY
power domain is not supported by the binding / Linux kernel at
the moment. Since the current setup is working, let's remove the
power-domain from being required for that platform to fix the warning
printed by CHECK_DTBS=y.

regulator: dt-bindings: gpio-regulator: Fix "gpios-states" and "states" array bounds
The minimum number of array entries for "gpios-states" was not not
specified, so the the default is the same as the max (8).

The minimum is also missing from "states", and the maximum is also wrong
as it should be 2^(# of GPIO lines). Since there can be 1 to 8 GPIOs,
the "states" range should be 2 to 256.
